Just enter the blue banner at the top and slide it into place. Close other windows first, including minimized in the taskbar and this last one and Windows will remember its position.

  • Still struggling with the Image and paper formats

I use LR 5 on a Mac, and printing to a Canon Pro-100.  I have grown my image to 8 1/2 x 11.  In Page layout, I've selected 8 1/2 x 11 as my paper size and uses Board single image/contact for the page layout.  The smaller margins he will allow me are L, top, bottom =.25 and right =. 56.  The maximum size of the cells is 8,00 x 10.19.  I would like to fill the whole 8 1/2 x 11 paper with the image moins.25 inch border all around.  What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks for your help.

My thanks to all who responded.  Very much appreciated.  I thought I had covered all the bases, but the problem is in the part of the Page Setup from LR.  Somehow the border right side had been incorrectly set.  I changed it a.25 and all is well.

You probably have too much in your Inbox.

    1. Move messages that you see in the user created folders.
    2. OE backup.
    3. Close and open OE.
    4. Compact your folders.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: file | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    Compress your OE folders:
    http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm#compact

6: Uncheck work offline and make a manual send/receive.

What now? If you still have questions, after return before doing anything else.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • Outlook Express take up to 2 minutes to display the message in the preview area

Using XP Home Edition with SP2 and SP3 more latest updates
    in Outlook Express

Go about 9 Aug 2011 no message in the Inbox
When clicked takes 15 seconds to reach
120 seconds (if the email has a large number of .jpg
or .gif inbed in enamel - largest number the
It takes longer) for the message to display in the
    Preview. and
Outlook Express client is totally locked
until the content is downloaded and displayed in the
section preview pane with the exception of the high-low-close
and while you wait for the message to display the
bottom of the preview pane area is a shade of temperature
    gray.
    For example, I get the
Download all the days of the show Kim Komando
Newsletter which has a lot of photos you need now
on a 60 seconds to display when it used to take
5 to 10 seconds. However, if unplug
form Wildblue.net my ISP (POP3, SMTP)
    then click on
the email appears in the preview pane on
5 seconds, but everywhere in the email
where there should be a picture box with
a red X in a box (not shown) with all the text
    différance and visible.

    Before September 9, 2011 I click send/receive to get
the list of emails form the Wildblue (perhaps gmail)
    Server.
Once the list has been uploaded they afficheraient
above the pane viewing and when I clicked everything
Individual email, the text would be displayed with a
a few seconds and an image (.jpg, .gif etc.) would be
have an empty box and would be downloaded while
I was reading the text and the Outlook Express client
was NOT completely locked or I would be able to
Select another email or go ahead and just delete
without having to wait to be able to download all the
photos but NOT since September 9, 2011.

    ALSO

Since September 9, 2011 once waited for 1 to 2 minutes
for the message to be displayed if I click on another return
Let's say for the daily download The Kim Komando Show
then return to the daily download The Kim Komando Show
in a few minutes complete the electronic text and photos will be
view wihtin a few seconds HOWEVER if I wait for an hour
or so it will take more than a minute display but
the bottom of the preview pane will be totally white - not grey
and the Outlook Express client will be totally
behind closed doors until it downloads once more photos.

what they told you to this topic
and after talking to your support, I agree that you
MICROSOFT changed something in one of your
updates that made Outlook Express almost
    unsuable.
    FIX IT!

1: do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

3: delete the temporary Internet files:

For IE6: In IE | Tools | Internet Options | Remove the files button. And check the delete offline content.

For IE7 & IE8: Tools | Internet Options | General tab | Browsing history | Remove button. Select temporary Internet files.

4:disable e-mail in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

For some programs, turning it off is not enough. You may need to uninstall and reinstall in custom Mode and remove the analysis when e-mail messages.

5: download the free version of this tool. First check the updates and then run a full scan.

Column of Outlook Express folder in find

When Outlook Express 6 detects emails from a name in the right column indicates the folder in which it is in. How can you tell which folder this folder is located in?

OE does not have the capacity to tell you where the folder is located in the folder hierarchy.  You can select different trees under local folders to find what subfolder is and what kind of tree it is under.  Unless folders.dbx is corrupted (which happens a bit), then OE will not create folders for you.  If folders.dbx is corrupt or not, I would suggest that you backup the files and the registry (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#6) before things become corrupt, because you seem to have a complex organization from your e-mail folders.

  • The spelling in my Outlook Express 6.0 is in French only. The drop down menu has no other options. How can I change to English?

    Check spelling

Outlook Express is not an own spellchecker but uses Office components for this. It must be Office 2003 or earlier that she cannot use the components of spellchecker of Office 2007 or later version.

Note that Outlook Express has been replaced by Windows Live Mail, which has built-in Spellers (and other languages available for download).
