Outrageous prices on 3 Way SLI Bridge GYN70?

I'm looking to add a 3rd 980 to my area 51 - R2 and I read that need me the SLI Bridge: GYN70

I called dell parts and the woman said it was $139.99

Is there a way that it is possible?  I expect a sli bridge cost a quarter of the 980's price.

Can someone tell me where I can buy this or if this is normal?

Thank you

This price is correct. Those sold through nvidia has incorrect spacing for the R2

  • Area 51 - R2, SLI in Nvidia Triple bridge, 3rd power supply cable GFX

    Hello

I recently bought a new Alienware Area 51 - R2 with a single graphics card. I have three GTX 970 s from a previous computer, I would like to switch to this new machine. If you order the machine with the GTX 980 triple option, it will ship with a triple Nvidia SLI bridge like the one below. It is a long shot, but anyone happen to know the dell P/N WHAT is this bridge? Support contacted twice, I guess that Dell "is no longer sells these and sought to amazon for a share...» These machines started to be delivered last month, so I know the bridge SLI exist and are usable.

Hoping someone of Dell / Alienware can chime and do a bit of research.
    Thank you!

Edit: so, according to a technical support alienware - the part is GYN70 - manufactured by Nvidia.
The part is not repairable or can be ordered according to the two Dell/Alienware. I was told to just order support one of Nvidia.

I hope that these tech people receive adequate training because the Nvidia 3 way SLI spacing is NOT the same thing as that area 51 R2 uses. Very disappointing.

    Edit: The stock area 51 R2 motherboard spacing is 3 x 60mm.
    Most of the 3way SLI connectors are 3 x 40mm. I can't find a single connector 3 x 60mm - making it impossible to switch to 3 video cards.

It turns out that this v030x is not the medium. Colombia-British, non-English speaking customer service sent me a telegram from sli for $7 to $40. I'll now do the part myself and sell them.

Just to let you know, the support is not a necessary party. Dell installs only because they ship all computers, and something light come lose. Also, I think that the support is in fact part of their OEM video card and is the reason why they are not available separately.
With each card mounted inside two PCIe slots and the normal screws or clips, they won't just about anywhere. You would have the same arrangement as any other machine made-to-measure, using retail or after-market parts.
Regarding the custom nVidia SLI-bridge (heading 2 and 3) in the other threads Area51-R2 customers seem to have found the appropriate reference numbers. In addition to the modular video-map-power cables missing.
  • Alienware Area 51 Tri SLI HELP

So, I recently bought a Dell Alienware Area 51 with graphics cards from NVIDIA SLI 980 4 GB DDR5. I want to buy a 3rd 980 now directly from Dell. They don't tell me no problem but they don't sell Tri SLI bridges? It makes no sense at all? You are selling computers game, but if we want to add a video card you do not sell the bridge for her? I know that dell has them because you can set up a computer with them, with 3 graphics cards requiring this bridge. If they do not sell this bridge then I give them $600.00 for another purchase of the card. Makes no sense...

I contacted Dell spare parts to the 1-800-289-3355 service. I could order the Tri SLI Bridge part # GYN70 (Assembly, graphics card, NV, bridge, Tri-State for $139.99). I also contacted a Support technique Alienware (not Dell) and after explaining my situation, they sent the cables needed to connect the extra GPU to supply free of charge. I hope this helps.

  • Bridging the network connections

Can I send my internet connection from my card wireless to ethernet cat5 with a software bridge connection in the network connections? WINDOWS VISTA BUSINESS 32-BIT operating system

    See the following article: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Create-a-network-bridge.

    Warning

You shouldn't create a bridge between an Internet connection and a network connection because it creates an affair not protected between your network and the Internet, which makes your network accessible to anyone on the Internet.  (NOTE: I do not think there is a way to bridge that gap in security even using 3rd party software - although I'm not certain about it at 100% and you can definitely look around for some software or harware which ensure your system.)  Personally, I would NEVER open a hole in my security - you may be subject to unauthorized access, malware, someone actually take control of your computer and lock out of her, adware, spyware, and all the other things that we to protect.  The Firewall will not help because the bridge gives them access through it.  Security software will not help because the network does not detect the intrusion as such.  Yet once, there may be some products that deal with situations of this kind, but I could not find.

Despite this warning, and in case you find software to protect yourself, here's how:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Add-a-connection-to-a-network-bridge.

Here's the thing.  I don't know if it is possible to the wireless card.  In my view, that it must come from the wireless network.  If your computer is connected to the network wireless using this card, I think it will work as long as the networks can be.  For bridge work, the two networks be thanked somewhere where the bridge can be created (in my opinion, means that at least one computer must be able to see and access to both networks).  I guess that's the case here.

I hope this helps.  Take the warning seriously.  You don't want to experience the potential consequences.

    Good luck!

  • NVIDIA SLI and Premiere Pro

As I understand, NVIDIA SLI a no. USED in ALL Adobe applications.  I have two GTX 970 s, and what I believe, or I would never active SLI if I want the best performance of Premiere Pro.  However, even if I don't have SLI enabled via the computer software, the physical component SLI bridge make a difference if it is installed on the graphics cards or not?  See, I never realized this, but the guys at Microcenter, put this SLI bridge on two of my graphics even if I never activate SLI.  I should have this deleted item or it will make a difference if I leave it there or not?

    wastingyourlifeaway wrote:

It makes no difference whether the bridge is there or not for your case.  All that matters is that if you enable SLI in nVidia control panel.  If you do not, they will continue to be considered as 2 independent GPUs.

  • Use support of collaborative bridge collections and labels?

I'm creating a wide range of collections with custom labels. All the files in the collection exist on colleges have access to a network share. I have succeed to save xml data from collection to a network share that users can copy to their local machines. This allows them to see my collections on their computers. I have trouble getting my custom labels will be displayed for them. I also wonder if there is no automatic way to bridge to use a space of clouds to save these configs so that we don't have to go through the synchronization and the manual copy of all the data in the collection all around. Any help with this is appreciated

    Hi PetewMWM,

    > This allows them to see my collections on their computers. I have trouble getting my custom labels will be displayed for them. >

Unfortunately, the bridge is still kind of nobody, a computer app. It is not designed for servers. For the labels will display correctly, you will have to each of your colleagues have to name their labels identical to yours. Bridge recognizes that there is a label, but it is unclear what if labels have not been assigned to each bridge to view the files. So labels will appear as white if there is a mismatch. I guess that's what you see?

Bridge is not connected yet to the cloud. But it would be a great feature request: Photoshop community customer family

While you're there, everyone do a favor and also to ask the bridge in order to better support on a work network. I keep hope that if enough people request features for Bridge, Adobe will be accompanied by more support and improved enforcement. They have no need to know you are out there trying to use the bridge.

  • SLI on Precision T7500

    Hello.

I tried for the past few days get 2 GeForce GTX 670 cards working in SLI on my Precision T7500.

I have the cards installed in PCIe SLOT2 and SLOT4 and connected by a bridge standard SLI ASUS. I also configured the video BIOS as 'Option 1'.

The two cards are recognized. The system starts. I can connect the video cable to each card and it works. I see also two cards on the Windows Device Manager and nVidea Control Panel. However, I have not all the SLI settings there. I have run many tests and confirmed that SLI is actually not work. I use the latest version of 304 nVidea driver.

What Miss me? Can you please help me?

    Hi thewaver,

    Welcome to the community.

As explained by you it seems that your computer answer about all the needs for SLI configuration work on your machine. However, we have not tried SLI bridge from ASUS, on our Dell Machines. Please check on this part and keep us informed.

Hello world. I am of the Hong Kong(not a native english speaker), then please ignore my grammar.

    GPU: Nvidia 675 m x 2

"The problem I have is every time I open a game in" ""FULL SCREEN ' (any game) with SLI mode, the screen starts flashing in red (just like what you'll see when you video tape no old - LCD/LED TV). It is fine when I disable SLI but low fps.

Sometimes, the screen freeze and stay like that, and I have to do a hard reset (holding the power button). And it saids the pilot of 675 m "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\nivddmkm.sys" crashed and caused a breakdown of the system.

I tried to reinstall both intel and nvidia drivers, complete system check with AlienAutopsy but nothing is working. The two GPU temp. had about 60 ~ 80 all in game (with my coolermaster protections cooling slot).

In this case, I would say that there is a problem with the material it could be the video card or the SLI bridge if you are no longer under warranty I recommend to take to a repair shop so that they can solve the problems of the system and provide you with better diagnosis.
