Overcllocking a Ultrabook/Sleekbook processor

I have HP Envy 6 1002TX Sleekbook or Ultrabook I do not know.

What is the point of having this laptop if it does even not be accomanied, idon't think that 1.70 GHZ what all-purpose.

tell me exactly what is the point of having a VRAM dedicated 2 GB with this processor if it cannot even fullfill the requement min for most of the games?

So, finally I would like to ask if I can overclock this computer or must be replaced by any other computer: -.

What makes a Ultrabook promises that this laptop

1. faster booting 1 time. boots still slower than my PC core2duo more than 40 seconds.

2. 2. fast to answer very wrong answer can not even run Photoshop, Eclipse IDE, Firefox
and Adobe Reader Simultanuosly.Which is very easy for my core2duo.

3. good graph 3. can ' t even the games run smoothly.

4.10 hours battery 4.i have not seen it work more than 3 hours in power saving with min
brightness

the unique thing only this laptop is it looks, it cannot match my office core2duo 4 years with only 3 GB of ram (INR 24 000) I never expected this at HP...

  • Recovery HP Envy 4 Ultrabook (Sleekbook) after Windows 8.1 update course

I'm working on a model of ultrabook (sleekbook) of HP Envy 4 4-1115dx for a friend. They said they tried to upgrade to Windows Update 8.1 and it has not worked since. There was a black screen with an error that says "boot device not found" hard drive (3F0). I tried everything I can find on the internet to try to address this. I ran Diagnostics of hard disk (short and long), and the order is placed. I have reset the BIOS settings by default, Secure Boot disabled, enabled Legacy Boot and I have somehow or another managed to access a screen that shows the RAID settings and I put the hard drive in non-RAID (probably an error). During all of this, I ordered a USB hp recovery and when it starts I get a warning that says "not recovery support to the title of the current configuration, please activate the acceleration for Intel Smart Response Technology option and try again." I can't find this in the BIOS anywhere (turning power of boot technology fast Intel does nothing.) Through what seems to be something that you configure in Windows leading to the top of this post. I tried all these parameters before and after changing the RAID settings. So now I have a recovery USB which does not seem to work on this work and the drive tests very well. I could shoot the SSD drive, if necessary, but I was trying to avoid that, because you have to take the whole computer part to access. Any suggestions?

Well, I feel like a fool. I was misunderstanding the SSD as drive JUST before I realized it was both. The normal hard drive was dead. I put a new hard drive in it after removing the bottom of the laptop and the provided HP recovery USB what worked perfectly. I kept thinking there was a partition on the SSD that I didn't see or format. It was just a plain ole doesn't have a hard drive. Thank you very much for your help.

  • HP Pavilion Ultrabook 14-b005ea upgraded CPU + ram + hard drive

HP Pavilion Ultrabook 14-b005ea on Windows 8 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my sleekbook processor an i3 to an i5, I also would like to upgrade this laptop computers hdd + ssd cache to an ssd of 256 GB full so that increase the ram of 4 GB to 8 GB. can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

    CPU:

    More quick possible:

    Intel Core i5-3317U (1.7 GHz, turbo up to 2.6 GHz 1 600 MHz/3 MB L3 cache, dual core, 17 W)

    You have:

    Intel Core i3-3217U (1.8 GHz, 1 600 MHz / 3 MB L3 cache, dual core, 17 W)

The i3 you have is actually faster for most purposes than the i5, although the i5 has Turbo. I would not bother with this upgrade. It is the most difficult and expensive. The processor seems to be welded on so it would take a whole new motherboard, I'm sorry to say. At least try upgrading memory and SSD before committing to try upgrading the processor.

    Memory and hard drive:

You can install up to 8 GB of RAM and you can install a reader mSATA. However, the memory and the mSATA drive slot are on the back side of motherboard and not easy to do. See Page 59 and transfer to the manual. In general, this model does not have an update very easily. You can replace the hard drive on a regular basis with an SSD without having to remove the motherboard, but it is still much harder than the mobile way. See pages 47-49.

  • Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm: Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm processor and upgraded graphics card.

    Hello

I should probably start by listing the specs of the laptop. So here it is:

    Model: Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm

    Series: [personal information]

    Product: C6T29EA #BED

Processor: Intel Core i5-3317U (1.7 GHz)

    Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics card: GeForce GT 630 m 2 GB memory

    OS: Windows 7 x 64

So the question, well not really a problem, but recently I have noticed that my laptop has been strugling to run the latest games coming out to the point where some games even on setting him down still have very low FPS.

Then I thought to replace my CPU and graphics card because these two seem to be the issue.

Now, I got the user guide but it was provided on a CD while my laptop is not a CD ROM  So, I have been unable to determine what kind of a slot processor use my laptop.

So I was wondering if anyone of you could help me determine if I can replace the processor and the graphics card on my laptop and if I can provide some suggestions to what I should look at, since I read that chaning a CPU on a laptop is sticky bussines.

    Thank you in advance.

Also if there is more information needed please tell me so that I can add.

Please have look at the below information shown for the processor upgrade

  • B4P24PA #ACJ hp 6-1002tx envy, what a ultrabook or just a sleekbook? Thank you.

    B4P24PA #ACJ ultrabook or not...

    Hello

No, it's sleekbook. Google will tell you everything.

    Kind regards.

  • How do I (a user) differentiate if I received a ultrabook or a sleekbook?

Hello. How can I differentiate between a ultrabook and a sleekbook?

I ask this question because I ordered a Ultrabook HP Envy 6 t-1100. When I received it, I noticed the following:

    1. I registered it and registered it as a sleekbook (I got the email from HP) instead of a ultrabook. Why is it so? All HP Ultrabooks are registered as sleekbooks?
    (I don't think so.)

    2. the name of the model in the BIOS it's a sleekbook. What the BIOS of the ultrabook of 6 t - 100 want to say?

    3. There is no sticker Win Pro 8 with the button under the laptop.

    4. the product number on the sticker under the laptop is different from the number of products in the BIOS (I used the latter to register the product with HP). Is this a reburbished product?

    5. There is no "Ultrabook" sticker on this subject.

    6. There is no sign of the "Technology Intel® Rapid Start" software and "technology Intel® Smart Response". How will I know that these technologies are present on my system?

Also, HP has promised to send me the product in 5-7 business days, but took almost 12 days for them to ship it. And I think I received a SLEEKBOOK refurbished instead of a NEW ULTRABOOK - for which I paid!

I liked HP for a long time. But after their fiasco of Touchpad and a 40% drop in their stock price, I'm seriously rethink on their business practices these last time.

With all the new competition from Asus, Acer, Samsung, etc. on the market of the ultrabook, I hope HP does not lose its loyal customers because of these problems.

I hope soon to the above.

    Thank you.

(I still don't understand why the models ultrabook and sleekbook are EXACTLY the same. It is confusing, mostly because a user cannot detect "invisible" mSATA SSD hard drive cache acceleration.)

    The answer was:

If a user is going to "Task manager", then click on 'Détails' or 'Services', it should see the Intel drivers for the ultrabook under the tab "Description."

I suspect that the sleekbook will not have these because they are usually at that base of AMD for HP.

"Ultrabook" is a term by Intel and can only be used by manufacturers when their products meet certain stadards defined by Intel. All "ultrabooks" are Intel based.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my post.

    I have HP Envy 6, 8 gb, 500 gb, 2.1/2.6ghz.

I have been surfing on YouTube and found videos showing how to use AMD Overdrive.  I minimum it and followed the video instructions.  Now, I COULD raise the multiplier, BUT soon as I hit him save it back to original settings.  I also tried the Turbo in the Overdrive cmdlet.  Ditto Ditto... Really, I GUESS that since the app was AMD it would work.

So, does anyone know how I can make this thing work?  I was in the bios and it is VERY limited.  I couldn't find something that could help with this at all.

Thank you so much to help you could give me.

I guess I'm looking for a way to unlock the bios so that I can actually made a change or two.

  • HP ENVY SLEEKBOOK 4-1080ee updated LEVEL MATERIAL

Hi, I have the above model and I would like to know these things:

    * Cache mSATA SSD is available for my laptop? I don't know if there already or if there is a slot, and if it is compatible or an effective upgrade. I read the manual, I think he said there but the manual is for HP ENVY 4 which could be for the Ultrabook and I think the mSATA SSD but my Sleekbook Ultrabook has no. Please specify and if it is compatible

    * I have 4 GB of ram on my laptop I think it's 800 mhz and I would like to add another 4 GB. My laptop runs on dual channel mode now? I know that running in two-channel mode is a boost and I have to buy a 4 GB 800 MHz also?

    * Finally made my support for CPU overclocking? or rather the turbo boost mode? and how do I turn in the case?

    Thank you

According to the manual, it has 2 memory slots, but only supports single channel operation. So, you can add a 4 GB module but no dual channel. Envy 4 manual is for the Sleekbook and Ultrabook and I believe that they both have the mSATA slot.

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

I could remove the service cover which is actually the whole bottom of the laptop and see if there's a slot mSATA above the hard drive. Frankly, try adding an mSATA after the fact has caused a lot of pain for users here and rather than I suggest that you get just a SATA SSD to 2.5 inches. If you try to use as cache the mSATA, we can help with that, but plan to a certain complexity and frustration.

Your CPU is 1.7 ghz natively and can burst up to 2.6 ghz. There is nothing that you can or should try to do with it.  Turbo Mode works without user intervention. If you think that the laptop is "slow", it is likely because pokey hard drive 5400 RPM. If you put in an SSD you complain on the processor more.

  • Upgrade of the ultrabook.

    Laptop: HP SPECTRUM XT TOUCHSMART

    Model: 15-4000ee

    Product: C1S41EA

Recently I bought HP spectrum with i5 Proccesor. After awhile this Proccesor was not good enough for my work.

I would like to know can I change Proccesor i7, or at least upgrading RAM.

    Faithfully, awaiting response.

    Hello

The upgrade of a sleekbook or a Ultrabook is not a simple task.

The disadvantage is that, in to upgrade the processor, you will need to replace the motherboard. The CPU is integrated in the system board and as such is not a half-bridge CPU which can be easily removed and replaced by yourself.

    Best regards

Something like that is controlled by the BIOS and if that option exists, you might find in the BIOS settings.
However, if its not available in the BIOS, you would be able to disable s Intel Hyper - Threading Technology

  • HP Pavilion Sleekbook PC 14: Recovery of Windows 8: PC in a reboot cycle?

Laptop model: HP Pavilion Sleekbook PC 14
    Product number: C7D58PA #AKL
    The system board ID: 18F9
    BIOS version: F 18
    Editor BIOS: Insyde

    64-bit Windows 8 (I think, unless he updated to 8.1 I don't know)

No drive CD or DVD (Ultrabook).

It is a laptop from a friend. At one point, he pointed out that it shows just a black screen with the mouse cursor after the start it (after loading Windows 8). He has no idea of what happened before that, I read a lot of online reports of people having problems after such a broken Microsoft updates for Windows 8 or 8.1.

Anyway, it goes well with the idea of "clean install", nothing needs to be backed up. Recovery media (USB key) was created at the time. I start the laptop with the recovery media and get to HP Recovery Manager. I select 'Factory Reset' which is supposed to erase the whole hard drive and restore the initial factory condition.

After some time (30-60 minutes, not sure), it has completed preparations, which I assume were re - create the recovery on the hard drive partition, etc. It is said the PC will start itself several times during the recovery process, and I should not meddle. Ok then.

After I let it continue, Notepad starts, HP logo and the circle of rotation. After a while, I see a glimpse of what appears to be an empty office of Windows and a window that says something like:

    HP laptop
    < date > < time > (e.g. 14/08/2015 11:15)
    Please wait...

(there is a button in there I think)

Which is available for a fraction of a second, but then the laptop restarts automatically just and this very fact time and time again, showing this dialog screen each time after you start HP logo. I waited about 8 hours, and it continued just do so that even, it seems that the recovery process is interrupted every time with a reboot. If this restart is due to a system error, where I can see the journal, IE. What is the error?

So, what to do next? I have reset defaults in case where (though I think that nothing has ever changed in any case) BIOS, no effect. I have not tried to update the BIOS, but even if I find a new/UEFI BIOS for this laptop, I would try rather than as a last resort, or after that I have the PC back on.

I also tried the other recovery options, lighter, ('System Recovery' and 'Reduced Image recovery') prior to "Factory Reset", but they have not yet further, I think.

In addition, I ran a full system check in the start menu (RAM and hard drive), everything was reported as fine.

Yet one thing that may or may not serious, in case there is a problem of Windows 8: since the PC HP is bought in Thailand, it has a cheaper, 'reduced' Windows 8 version. It's a play full version, but apparently a kind of 'reduced' version that Microsoft sells cheaper on some countries, such as the Thailand. I'm not entirely sure what the restrictions are, at least you can not change the language of Windows system after the initial selection of IIRC (when Windows 8 was executed first to complete installation preloaded, English was chosen as the language of the system).

I mention this only because I'm not sure if it causes certain restrictions on workarounds, such as the use of some other Windows 8/8.1 recovery media created on another PC or downloaded an ISO from Microsoft, or somesuch. I have already learned the hard way that not all editions of Windows seem to be created equal with regard to the options of recovery, being able to launch the etc SafeMode (at least this was the case with my Windows 7, a lot of instructions online for just would not work on it because they are expecting boot options that simply weren't there).

USB media recovery that I use is created initially, according to HP.

    Problem solved. Steps to follow:

    1. forget about HP recovery. Of course it does not work for me little matter how I pray, I went to come and clean up the entire hard drive of all partitions (I presume that the recovery partition went too).

    2. create the installation media Windows 8.1 with Microsoft http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media media creation tool

I created the USB media on a USB flash drive of 8 GB on another PC. It will work and install correctly on Windows 8 system, no need to install first 8.0 and then he move to 8.1.

3 boot from the installation media, install (I chose the option to not save or move anything old windows, after all he was not supposed to be any previous Windows installed) and a great success. I guess you have to download and install drivers from HP separately, perhaps,

In fact, I am now upgrading to Win10.
