  • Files in duplicate locations and Windows Live Movie Maker is not opening

I think that I dragged accidentally the document library tab in the Video Library tab (in the tab on the left menu). My docs & files are now both. If I delete one, it removes both. If I create a new, it does so in both. How to cancel this please?

In addition, at the same time, Windows Live Movie Maker no longer opens.

Libraries actually do hold all the files or folders, they combine their in a view for easy navigation.  For example, my video library shows all the videos of three different hard disks, my roommate's computer records.  But I can see all the videos in one view combined with the library.

To change the folders that appear inside a library, just right-click on the name of the library and choose Properties.  Who let you out your video library documents.

  • Windows Live Movie Maker is rendered my video funny

So I tried render(publish/save) a video of game I did and before I downloaded it, I noticed that it seems very rotten. I used the recommended setting when I visited, but it seemed wrong, so I used the "for the high-definition display' and he looked better, but pretty much the same. Everything that has a bit of a white outline around him and he was very pixelated, but when I go back to the original video, everything is perfect. He has not done this before, so I know that it is a problem. I tried all the options now and they all have this same white outline look to it. Perhaps using a custom setting/profile would improve the resolution of

  • Windows Media Player 11 will not play video

Windows Media Player 11 will not play DVD-video or video files from a SD card.  I tried several update codec options, but none were successful, including the option offered by Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en).  Windows tells me that a more recent update has been installed and refuses to go forward.

    Hi RonMcCulloch,

    ·         You receive an error message or error code?

    ·         What is the type of file you are trying to play?

    ·         The DVD I get recognized by the computer?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

In the meantime, you can try to reduce hardware acceleration, and see if it resolves the problem. (Only if your video card supports hardware acceleration)

    a. open the screen resolution by clicking on the Start button, click Control Panel, and then under appearance and personalization, click adjust screen resolution.

    b. click on settings Advanced , the Troubleshooting tab and then click change settings.

    c. move the hardware acceleration slider toward none to reduce or turn off video hardware acceleration.

    d. click OKand then click restart now.

Let us know if it helps.

  • Sometimes the clips in Windows Movie Maker will not play during preview and not at all after publication...

Hello!  I just create a movie using Windows Movie Maker (HP Pavilion dv6000/Windows Vista Home Premium).  During the PREVIEW, the first part of the video of my film sometimes will not play (view) while the audio continues. Sometimes he will play (view).  All clips are saved in the right place, the file formats are correct, and everything else that I think is done correctly.  In addition, after the publication of the video, he did the same thing; some parts of the beginning is not playing (see) only the audio.  I believe that this can have started happening after a few times when an error message pops up saying something like "Video player has stopped responding, but has revived with success...» "or something like that.

Now, I tried a few things to try to fix the problem.  I noticed that if I take the transitions and effects on the clips then they play but every time. I don't know why this happens only at the beginning of the movie and not all of the film since I also have clips with transitions and effects in the end.  Help!  This is my first time using this program/do a movie (and it's really good if I must say for me... he can win an Oscar! * smile *), but I wonder if I did something by mistake at the origin of this problem...

Also test it in another account that the component for WMM store is different on each profile. I've included the steps:

(Note that you can select exactly what you want to install once you load the installation process)

      1. Open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety, then clicking on user accounts.
      2. Click on manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
      3. Click on create a new account.
      4. Type the name you want to assign to the user account, choose the type of administrator account on the computer, and then click on create an account.
      5. Log out and log in to the new account.
      6. Verify that the problem you are experiencing is resolved

      Create a new user profile:

Follow these steps to create a new account, we can test:

(To remove the test profile follow the steps above and choose to remove the account from the user accounts).

If the work of nine and you discover you have a profile corrupted, take the measures listed in the following article to copy your data to the new: difficulty a user profile is corrupted

  • Windows Live Movie Maker is not recognizing my video files

Video files are MOV which should be compatible with WLMM, but when I add them there is an error and the following message appears:

"The file may be corrupted or in a format that Movie Maker does not recognize.
This movie can be saved or published until (the video file name) is removed from the project.
    "Error: 0 x 80070057.
I downloaded successfully to WLMM VOB files but it's the MOV formats that cause this problem. In the center of troubleshooting WLMM, he advises finding or installing missing codecs which is beyond me!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It may be worth trying to convert your .mov files on the
format .wmv before import into Movie Maker:

  • Microsoft Movie Maker will not play movie, only displays an image

I'm reading of videos that I took on my digital camera. I downloaded the Movie Maker, but when I press 'play' does not have the entire movie, rather the first image remains visible all the time so that the clock progressive count as usual.  I use Windows 8.

I'm afraid that this feature has been removed from Windows 8.0/8.1.1You have 2 choices 1) upgrade to Windows 8.0 pro and buy Windows Media Center or find a third-party media Player (for example, Cyberlink PowerDVD or VLC) that meets your needs. my choice is to use the Cyberlink media Center, even if I had to buy. He did everything I could possible in the way of media and done better than anything Microsoft has ever offered. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.
