  I checked the BIOS and everything seems to indicate ok, in terms of cores 7 and 8 CPU power management config limit is set to 0 compared to 39 for 1 & 2 and 38 for 3-6. Is this correct?

• My Tecra A8 Celeron or Intel Core 2 Duo processor processor?

  I have a Tecra A8 (PTA83E-04R039EN) T7200/1024 / 100 G 54/15WT/DS2/L/M, it has a sticker on the top for Intel centrino duo processor. All read ups and support show is a processor core 2 duo with 4 MB of cache.

  However when I do a utility ID of Intel processors and software benchmark, it shows me that the processor I have is actually a Celeron M with 1 MB of cache.

  This is correct?
  Have I received the wrong processor in my machine or what?
  Hope someone can answer this.

  I installed Vista and it also shows that it is a Celeron M 1.73 GHz?

  According to the specifications of the laptop, your laptop comes with Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.0 GHz) CPU processor. I recommend you to call ASP in your country. They can communicate directly with Toshiba and offer you the best answer.

• Machine using LabView trigger signal

  The company I work for has just acquired a new machine which measure the size of the particles and other variables. The machine is supplied with its own program that records and analyzes the data. However, we want to get around that and read the data directly in LabView and so be able to filter, organize, and sort as desired.

  Attached are pictures of the configuration of the machine. The red circle indicates the cable that connects the PC to the machine.

  While the machine will operate its own, there will be no signals transmitted to the PC without a trigger command. It's my first question: how to provide the appropriate command of LabView machine so he can generate the right signals.

  The manufacturer of the machine:

  The colloidal Dynamics AcoustoSizer (AZRII) consists of a central processing Signal (EPSC) and unit of different sensors, shown in figure 2.1.  They are controlled by the application owner software that is running on a classical computer in MS Windows^TM based (PC).

  Under the direction of the application, the EPSC generates pulses of sinusoidal voltage on a sequence of prescribed frequencies between 1 to 20 MHz. These pulses are applied to the sound Amplitude Electrokinetic and mitigation sensor (ESA), where they generate ultrasonic signals in the colloid.

  These signals of ultrasounic, which contain information about the size of the particles and the load, is converted to voltage pulses by mitigation ESA probe sensors, and impulses are then directed to the EPSC for the signal processing. The processed signals are transmitted to the computer, as well as data from the pH, temperature and conductivity sensors. At the end of the measurement phase, the data are analyzed in the PC to determine the particle size and zeta potential.

  Information on the measurement process:

  A typical measurement sequence is as follows:

  The PC issues instructions for the EPSC applied pulses of high voltage excitation frequencies prescribed the probe to ESA/mitigation.  This is according to two modes, the ESA, and mitigation.

  The extent of the ESA, this voltage pulse is applied between two flat and parallel electrodes that are in contact with the suspension. The suspension runs vertically upward between the electrodes with a brace polyphenylenesulphide (PPS), the ESA probe. One of the electrodes is adsorbed on an acoustic delay line, opposite which is mounted a ultrasonic transducer thin.  The applied voltage pulse causes the colloidal particles (which are almost always electrically) to shake back and forth. This query generates sound waves, a phenomenon called the Amplitude sound Electrokinetic, or the effect of the ESA. The sound waves of the ESA spending since the suspension along the glass delay line. When they reach the end of the delay line, the soundwaves created tension through the transducer. The voltage pulse then crosses the EPSC signal processing circuit. The Fourier transform of the pulse is determined by the EPSC and then transmitted to the computer. This Fourier transform is a complex number with the two amagnitude and phase (or argument).

  At present, we are measuring to thirteen different frequencies, at the end of the sequence of ESA measure we have so thirteen amplitudes of ESA and thirteen phases stored in the PC. This set of quantities is called the spectrum of ESA.

  The extent of the sound attenuation of the output pulse EPSC is applied to a piezoelectric transducer. This generates a pulse of sound wave which passes through suspension.  This impulse and various reflections that come further in time are all measured, stored and analysed using the Fourier Transforms as in ESA measures.

  At the moment, that we measure to 13 different frequencies, at the end of the sequence of mitigation so we have amplitudes of mitigation thirteen and thirteen phases stored in the PC. This set of quantities is called the spectrum of mitigation.

  Well, which depends on the Protocol of the machine.  Do you have the link susanianak provided that help any?  You will need to check the documentation mfg on the appropriate command to send to start the cycle.  This can be done easily with LV, but it needs to work with the Protocol set by the seller.  Your photo shows what appears to be a serial cable. Use the VISA for this.

  I didn't see a second question.  Are you asking how to acquire information from the machine?  If you can find a driver for this hardware, as suggested SusanianaK, which would be preferable. You can build your own.  Since it's RS - 232, it sends the information in a serial data stream.  Refer to the doc for the equipment to see what are the parameters of the series.  If all goes well, your controller can work as a host and got the info as it comes.  But there may be a set of commands supported to extract it.

  If I have to use my Apple ID, wouldn't that let me use Final Cut Pro as it is allowed to the former owner ID and not mine?

  Unless sellers are explicitly including transfers of software license, you cannot continue to use the software without eventually getting into trouble. Adobe CS apps can be installed on multiple machines, but they cannot be activated on two. If the 'included' software has already been activated by the previous owner, you won't be able to use it.

  The inclusion of the high-end systems used on applications should be a red flag: avoid sellers.

  Look, there is always a chance, an installation (including those of Oracle Corp) script will check that you use the "oracle" account Just run the command id, compare the results with 'oracle' and... boom.
  I have seen those, but do not remember now that one.
  As for benefits 'being creative' and using a different username, I don't see any.
  I see no reason to change the name, or need some "political society".

  That depends on how it is implemented in your operating system.

  For example, on my Linux operating system "oracle of L - usermod ' locks 'oracle' password to make a connection 'oracle' cannot be attempted. (Of course, this does not prevent the super user 'root' to run a ' su - oracle ' to login as 'oracle').

  At least once a week, in one of the Adobe forums I read, someone post a message saying something like... "I have lost my installation CD" or "I have lost my installation key" or even "I downloaded the version X and the need to reinstall and everything what they have now is the Version there that I can't afford to buy" - which ends with the Question: "How can I reinstall my software?

  Maybe someone will read this before you have a problem (well, we can always HOPE!)

  1 save your program CD (or DVD) and install the key in case you should reinstall it after a computer crash... Put your CD/DVD and install the key in a well-marked box and make a place for the box where always know you where it is (and if you move, buy a roll of RED packing tape to wrap this box is very visible)

  2 - If you buy a version upgrade, be sure to keep your product as a CD/DVD (and install key) in the box that you have created for #1 - just in case you have a problem and need to reinstall (note that you will not install the previous, since version entered the previous installation questioned key usually works)

  3 - If you buy software by download, IMMEDIATELY write the download of files on a CD or a DVD and put the disc in the box that you have created for #1 - and don't forget to include a note with the installation with the disk key (IE - print the email that includes the license key)

  4 - Write the keys to installation for all your programs and keep in a folder in your office (I use a MS Word document, I've updated and whenever I have to buy a new printing software)

  5 - when everything works properly, buy and USE software to make a backup image of your hard drive to DVD - R or USB external hard drive... This isn't a Windoze restore point, it is a complete picture of everything on the drive, that which you can use to restore the same disk, you can put everything on a new drive in the case of a hard disk crash

  Norton Ghost (which I have not used) is a product... There are several others

  The program I use is Terabyte Image... He made a full drive 'image' for the backup (or selected partition, such as restoring some providers supply instead of real support CD of the score) and it covers several CD/DVD discs or write on an external USB hard drive or a second hard drive internal

  As far as I know (I have several readers start identical 80Gig I turn via removable disk boxes, creating a backup image before you install or remove any program) this program will directly on the disc material to back up and restore EVERYTHING on a disk, run OUT of some (many?) other backup programs even the parts 'hidden' that software publishers use to store registration information... and who (from what I have read in various forums of software), which means that a restore from these programs can leave you with the unregistered software you can't use until you re - save

  The http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/image-for-linux.htm download includes a MAKEDISK. Program EXE to create a bootable CD - (don't forget to put your CD/DVD as the FIRST player to start, in the BIOS of your computer)

  "If you have a disk 3.5" start your computer drive (not all computers today have a disk 3,5 ''), you can use the DOS version of the program... the function is identical to the version of Linux and the screens are 'similar' - version BACK through 1.99 fits on a 3.5 "drive, I did not use the 2 x version BACK so do not know the size of the program

  Note that you MUST use the Linux version if you have a USB keyboard or USB mouse... Also note that the latest version of Linux (yet again, I have not used the last DOS version) will allow you to select an option for "entire disk" and will then select all partitions on that drive for you you could (if your target drive is a burner DVD or a hard drive NTFS) have created everything in a single file , and that the "entire disk" option will allow you to restore everything, including partitions, to another drive (when you perform a backup, I select the option to have everything written in the file of an image on an external USB hard drive which is formatted NTFS)

  This "entire disk" option works even when the target of the restore disk is not the same set up as drive you imaged... I learned this when I made a picture of all of a dual boot drive (8Gig for Win2k, 72Gig for WinXp) and restore that image on an 80Gig drive that started with just a single partition after restoration, this disc has been reconfigured to have two partitions for dual boot... it was a LOT easier than having to use FDISK to configure manually the 80Gig drive target and restore individual partitions of the existing drive to dualboot

  I have not used their version of Windoze, since I would rather run an imaging program that starts outside Windoze

• Owner of software Oracle (installation): password

  Ive installed 10GEX and worked a little inside. Now, I work in the implementation of backup process. I want to set up a crotab to run the same script which is used through the GUI (Centos 5.4 - "RedHat"). I run the script manually with success.
  
  Read on crontab, each user can have its own set of jobs. and by using the crontab-l command you can list the work in the queue of the user you are logged in as. The 'oracle' user exists, but I do not have a password for it... in order to log in to the operating system by using this user and set up a cron job under his name.
  
  What is the right way to go? backup using the oracle user tasks? Can I know the oracle user - this would allow successful for the oracle user, crontab entry, or how to determine what is the password.
  
  I could always change the oracle as a 'root' user password - but that would break something?

  Hello

  (1) If you set the oracle user password, it do not affect DB or Apex.

  (2) if I understand correctly, default password is not set for the oracle user, so you can't use it to connect.
  If you set the password using the passwd command, then you can log in with this username.
  Some Linux forum can give the best answer to this question.

• Older A1138 Office do not restart after software update?

  I have worked on an old Mac Office since last night, think that the owner said it is a model of A1138, do not see anything in the associated model anywhere on the unit. The OSX Snow Leopard loaded very well so I ran the software update, but after that he showed that is was downloaded and restarts, it seems being stuck at this time, should I shut down and restart or how much time should I wait please?

  Sorry to not give more details. Guy brought this machine for me yesterday. He said his tenant that moved did not have to take this very old and heavy machine for him, then the tenant given to him. The owner however gave him the unit without the disc hard OSX but hard left 2 discs in there for him. So, I loaded 10.6.3 original CD-ROM from Apple on this topic. I'm trying to upgrade from 6.3 to 6.8, but after he showed that the updates have been downloaded and restarts, it seems to be stuck at this time here with just the 'outer space and stars' screen purple color, should I shut down and restart or how much time should I wait please?
