P series too hot and sound card problem

Hello

in recent weeks, I have a problem with the temperature. The P series of satellites is much too hot, even if only the essential progs are running, the processor runs with 100% very often. Without the Task Manager (to close the CPRS) of "windows" the machine crashes several times down!

And since I've updated the driver sound in August this year, the sound may not be performed correctly. The sound card is not identified by diff. progs. MP3 direct cut and sound blaster, during the race.
I can't save anything! So bad!

Hello!

Clean the laptop? You can use spry compressed air could blow the dust from the cooling fans. So do not disassemble anything.

Which audio driver use? Toshiba or manufacturing as Realtek? Maybe there already is a new or try again with the old driver.

Moreover, what Satellite phone do you have?

Good bye

    Hello!

I have a HP Envy 15-j078ca running windows 8.1 touchsmart and, recently, I noticed that my audio is static/crackling noises. A test, I plugged my head phones to see if it was a speaker problem or a problem of sound card and audio in my headphones was also static noises.

Some of my audio programs tell me that it is a sound card problem.

What I did: I followed the advice on another thread that had me uninstall the drivers and hand it to reset my bios settings can have my drivers to reinstall but I found that my audio worked perfectly! ... for about 2 hours then my cell phone was dead silent so I got this back a few days and the audio was fine again... for a few hours before he began to do staic noises again.

I'm not really sure what the question is here, or how I can correctly solve this so any help would be appreciated!

  • Equium A210 - 17I HDD is not too hot and mobile stops

I seem to have a hard drive because of overheating - the laptop turns off intermittently and actually feels very hot (especially at the top left of the keyboard)

I installed a HDD Temperature monitor and it tells me that the disc is currently at 54 degrees, but was up to 64 degrees. It is clearly way too hot and the cause most likely of Islanding. I have the laptop on a USB, fan support to keep it ventilated but this t/doesn't seem to have much effect.

Everyone knows similar? Can anyone suggest a cause and solution? For what it's worth the drive is a Toshiba MK1637GSX - 160 GB - and the firmware is DL030M.

    Hello

A few days ago, I had a similar problem that the laptop was also very hot. So I cleaned up the laptop with a jet of compressed air, and I was very surprised how much dust came out.
I followed the instructions in this FAQ from Toshiba document:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD7A01ZZ000AR01.htm

I hope this can help you and if not, you should go to the authorized service provider nearest. They can check the laptop.

  • Problems with the video card and sound card on Toshiba model #PSLCOU - 02701G

I bought a new laptop in 2009, and it is a Toshiba, model #PSLCOU - 02701G. After about three months the video card and the sound began to spoil. It's what he does, I can go on U-tube or any web site that has a video to watch like CNN news, etc. What it does is it starts to play and the video and the sound is good and he paused for a few seconds and starts again, new breaks and pauses, starts, pauses, starts. He does it all the time, and I was wondering if you all have any idea whats going on? Help? Help?

It really sucks when you try to watch the news. Also, I put a CD or DVD into the laptop and it works perfectly. I can watch any DVD or listen to a GREAT Cd.

How is your network connection?  Sometimes, the system needs to create a cache to store the downloaded information and if the download is not pass quickly enough the system will freeze while wiaiting for download to catch up - not a problem with your sound cards and video, but with the speed of Connection on the website or on the network itself (or your network equipment).  This looks like the case if the DVD and the CD's works fine.  Check your internet connection and try to download the video pages to see if the problem is with all the downloads, or only those on a site.  You can contact your ISP and have them help check you connection and settings and the modem for problems or changes, you can do to improve things. Sometimes happens to me as well in the internet connection runs slower than normal and there is nothing that I can do but wait to accelerate - and it's frustrating.

You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get the drivers (and you need you to do all you have time to do, but at least the network card, sound card and video card - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), get the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Qosmio G20-141 - cannot install modem drivers and sound card

    Hello

I have a Qosmio G20 - 141 laptop series. My recovory all CDs have been damaged and some problems for laptop too.
So I formatted the laptop and I have configured with the new Windows XP sp2.
After the installation of the operating system, I can not install the sound card and Modem drivers.
Even if I downloaded these drivers from the Toshiba site and installed, still it does not correctly.

Please help me and your advice and your suggentions greately appreciated and thanks in advance

Hi first of all, I recommend an update of Windows XP to the last State.
All available patches and patches must be installed.

In addition, the Qosmio G20-141 belongs to the series of PQG21E and you must choose the serial number from the Toshiba driver download form.

The European driver Toshiba page provides different drivers for XP MCE and many QFE for Win XP Pro.

In addition, you will find an installation instructions txt file that gives the proper installation order. This command is necessary and you should follow this statement!

    Then, everything should work ok.

  • Satellite A200 PSAE3: Windows XP Home edition do not recognize the modem and sound card

    Hi all!

I can't understand what is the problem with my Satellite A200 (PSAE3)... I downloaded all the files on the right of the Toshiba Download Center, updated the BIOS to WXP but XP still not find any sound card or any modem. He isn't finding a device with a "?" question mark on this...

There are so many different drives, I tried, but no one has changed the situation...
    Anyone has any advice?

    Thanks in advance,

    ciroopi

Well, I found the solution to the problem! :)

so, I write these verses down for anyone who might know the same problems:

as usual, strictly follow the 'Toshiba A200 Installation sequence' found on the TOshiba driver download page.
as he [I jumped no useful installation programs]

I advice restart you each time you install a component, in order to have under control the whole Exchange.

    1 Windows XP Service Pack2 (RTM) - of course ;) -.
    [...]
    DirectX V9.0c 5 (SP2)
    Windows Media Player 10 V10.00.00.4036 6
    [...]
    10 Microsoft .NET Framework V1.1.4322 (SR1)
    11 Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment V1.6.0
    12 Intel ICH8M Chipset utility V8.2.0.1014
    13 Intel VGA driver 6.14.10.4833 965GM

Note that driver VGA, the ATI we too, was also a difficulty - in fact, I don't know what it would have done - for the AUDIO sound card.
You may have read in the installation dialog box.

Moreover, I do not know if you must install the sun java, .NET framework and WMP version that displays the list, versions that are OLDER than the most recent, but just to be sure, download the form versions THAT NET.

at this point, you should see "unknown PCI device" in the unknown devices in the system control panel.

    14 Realtek ALC268 Audio Driver V5.10.0.5433

for realtek, I suggest you download the driver from the zip from the realtek download page; Once extracted from the latest version for desktop or a temp directory, I suggest to install before all the patch KB888111 you might find in the \WDM_Rxxx\MSHDQFE.

    then restart.

for now, you should not see the "unknown PCI device" no more where it was before, but under the "system devices", like her, where you could also end the "Intel PCI Express Root Port", "Pci Bus" and so on [ja? m saying this to you because ja? m Italian aid of XP, and I don't remember the exact English names...].

Now, install the audio drivers by using the setup.exe that you find in the \WDM_Rxxx directory.
It should reinstall the kbfix and install the new drivers.

    Reset.

After the reboot, nothing happens, but...

.. see the "unknown pci device" menu - here? m not sure the name but the one with the exclamation mark in the 'system devices' - select 'Properties' and then 'driver' and 'update driver'. Let XP find the NOT on the net. tell XP to look for "Video and Audio Controller, game" [you know, the English entry that usually stands for device audio and similar] and he must find a CORRESPONDING driver, which is the "MICROSOFT UAA BUS DRIVER for HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO".
If XP don't select this driver by itself, you should look for "\windows\system32\DRIVERS\hdaudbus.sys".

After that, XP automatically detects ALL audio devices and install the correct drivers.
In addition, it now the entrance to the modem, modem to install the separate driver, that we could find in down in the "list system", like her, on the Toshiba download page.

    So, hope this helps!

    See you soon,.

  • Satellite A300-1NO - Realtek in Windows 7 sound card problem

    Hey guys!

    I have a laptop A300 1NO and trouble with realtek audio I installed Windows 7 (x 86, 32-bit) driver.
When I had Vista, I had 3 options to define how I want to record sounds. There was a microphone, microphone on the front and a "third option" which recorded the voices directly from the map its (perhaps waveout) and not by the microphones.

Now, I can not find the 'third option' (record sound directly from sound card) just two microphone options. I can see the devices deactivated and disconnected too, but it still does not show me the 'third option' :(

The freshly installed Win7 recognized my sound card and I got sound on that but he wasn't any icon 'realtek' in the control panel to change the preferences, as in Control Panel of Vista. I uninstalled it from the Device Manager, after that I install 6.0.1.5559 version (I've used it with vista x 86, 32-bit) but still the same problem...

I don't really know what to do...

    Hello

To be honest that I understand really what you would expect from an OS that is not released or not on the market yet...

It takes a few weeks or months more until the official drivers will be available for Windows 7. It s the same as on Vista and XP. After the liberation, most of the drivers have been released.

You can try some beta drivers for Windows 7 from the Toshiba page we.
But that's all you can do at the moment.

  • Satellite P100-195 - loud beep sound card problem

    Hi guys.

I bought a Toshiba Satellite P100-195, about two weeks ago and since I had a problem with my sound card I do not seem to be able to overcome. Whenever I have to increase/decrease the volume (or audio icon in the system tray or the control panel) I get a loud beep after I let go of the mouse button.

The sound seems to work fine, but the tone is getting stronger every time I increase the volume and is really annoying. I also noticed that whenever I got an audio/video conversion Canopus Procoder 2 I get the same tone, even if the converted files are well and plays well. My Satellite P100-195 was a Portuguese Windows Professional MCE.

The beep will be like a BIOS we and not a BONE.
I already reinstalled the audio driver.
Can someone help me with this?

    Jose Felix

    Hello

Is - this loud beep appear on a fresh install that BONES form the Toshiba Recovery CD?

The second possibility is that your operating system has put this loud beep as a program event.
Go to sound and audio devices and select the Audio tab.

Here, you can see all your sounds that are set on the different program events.

  • XPS 720, video card and sound card upgrades?

    Greetings-

A friend gave me his old Dell XPS 720, which I updated to Win7-32.  The upgrade went fine--too easy in fact - and now I'm sorting on all other smaller issues.

I need a recommendation for a new graphics card and a new sound card.  The only thing I use this box is to maintain a website via Adobe CS4 Dreamworks, with the other tools in the suite and surf the net.  No game, no rendering heavy, etc.

    What I want-

-Decent color - graphics but no fan if possible.  The map in this area is now an INVIDIA GTS of the G-Force-250 - and the fan noise is terrible.  My needs are quite easy - is there a map smaller, quieter that I can put on this case in order to eliminate the a fan (which seems to be the highest fan in the Pack)?

Sound card - open what it is as long as it fits and works with this box and Win7-32.

    Thanks for your help/advice-

    -Sean

The integrated SigmaTel 9227 audio system should be good for your use. But any PCI sound card purchased locally would work or you could get an its PCIe x 1 card. Here's what we delivered =
    CT602 PCI Sound Blaster
    F7710 PCI Sound Blaster X - Fi
WW202 PCI Sound Blaster X - Fi XtremeMusic

You should check newegg for price and photos for the PCIe x 16 video cards. This link is sorted by lowest price to highest. None of them work so you have at least a 750w power supply. When you have found a video on the site map, I would look for it locally.

  • Inspiron 1520 sound card problem

    Hello

After a few manipulations of partition I did I had to reinstall Vista (Home Basic).

Then I installed the SP1 and the corresponding drivers from the drivers disk.

Now - while he was trying to make a voice call with Skype (it worked before) - I get e message that there is a problem with the sound card.

What sound card the 1520 there?

Shouldn't she displayed in Device Manager?

    Don't miss this driver?

    Two additional points:

    1. when I use the Drivers and Utilities disc (supplied with the notebook) - I have the list of all 1520 drivers associates. In the list there is a Sigmatel audio driver, however, it is not indicated that this is the card I have - as for other devices.

    2. the laptop speakers do not work.

  • cheap sound card problems?

Hello, I have a few problems with the hearing, which I'm trying to fix. but ordered a decent sound card and thought rather than start looking for settings and the remedies of software in the forums, I would see if you think my problems are simply down to me using a cheap card. I hope that during the installation of these will disappear from questions, but if they are not, is there anything else I can do to improve things? IM interested to know what you think:

    1. Once finished recording, the track is always just a little out of time against everything I was recording on the other hand, and I have to drag and drop each track very slightly backward in time. It happened with 1.5 and 3.0, im used to IT... but its boring.

    2. (this only happens with 3.0), if im a long track (more than 5 minutes), reading from time to time registration will be stutter for a fraction of a second, which is very annoying, coz it means something registration after that this point is out of time, and it needs re-doing, ARGH!

3 vst, such as guitar rig/amplitude work well, but as soon as I use them on several tracks, I can't even read. It's just a waste of stuttering. (it's more frustrating because I can't even blag through it, the only way to preview the vst sounds is to mix the whole project and listen back - Yes, VERY annoying).

That's close enough, and a proposal, I would say that his problems of latency on each case. I'd like any comment on this if possible, but above all, do you think these 3 numbers are attributable to a bad sound card? or is it something I need to set up in the settings?

I use xp, fast pc with the beast of a gfx card and plenty of ram.

    Thank you guys.

PS. sound card is a realtek ac97 onboard, I think that all the necessary drivers are present.

Yes, it could easily all be down to your Realtek. To start, you need Windows drivers, and that increases the latency time. If you get a decent sound device, then you can use its low-latency ASIO drivers and you'll probably find that you synchronize the problems disappear. Experiment with the settings memory buffer ASIO and your new device should optimize its performance in terms of drop-outs, I think. Hearing still works much better with decent sound devices.

  • Tecra 9000 - Modem and sound card

I have a Tecra 9000 with a cople of months there is a problem.

The modem has not been recognized more...

Given that the problem was not important that I took all measures.

But now, it is the sound card that no longer works.

It is not recognized by the operating system more.

What seems to happen? Software or hardware problems?

    Best regards

    Paulo

    Hello

It's not easy to say, what the problem is (software or hardware). First of all, you can try to delete these two devices (modem, sound card) Device Manager. After the start-up of the OS should recognize devices. In addition, you can try to install the new driver for these devices. If this action doesn't help, you can try to reinstall your system with the recovery CD.

    Good bye
