  I use Windows 8 with an AMD Radeon HD 6XXX/7XXX card and felt the constant system crashes (i.e., Blue Screen of Death) using Firefox 19 before finding this thread.   Reset the battery TCP/IP IPv4 default installation. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

  Reboot the computer.

  got the P10 554, with Windows XP Home Edition. Since I have my own copy of XP Pro and need additional components, which are NOT part of the home ed., I tried to update.

  Works fine until the point where it says "Starting Windows". The progress bar runs out, the screen goes black and not more disk access hard and CD.

  Everyone runs into that as well, or is there a solution for this problem?

  Now, I have the problem, that just three weeks ago my warranty ended. Y at - it sth. as a guarantee of repair, so that I can send it again in my notebook?

  I have a laptop Satellite P10 554. I'm not able to get the wireless LAN. I have a Netgear wireless modem and a Netgear USB wireless "receiver". I have configured the entire setup and switched 'on' switch wireless on the left side of the laptop. Nothing happened. The light on the left side on the laptop that shows the availability of the wireless network never radiated.

  I have installed and inserted into the mobile network.

  Please advise on how should I proceed to get the wireless LAN working.

  As far as I know that the Wireless LAN is optional on this unit. This means that the appliance has been delivered without wireless card, but it s can put the card in the laptop.
  Are you sure that your device has a wireless card? You can check in the Device Manager. In addition, must be on the wireless network by using the switch on the side of the laptop and the key combination FN + F8.

• Skype crashes randomly 8.1 Windows Pro

  I'm having a problem where my Skype crashes randomly on my computer at work.

  This is what makes it very frustrating to use. My guess is it's a video driver problem but I downloaded a new driver for it already.

• Skype crashing randomly

  Since some updates my Skype crashes randomly every few minutes.

  It started with the following symptom: whenever my woud disk HARD secondary spin up because I navigated to it in Windows Explorer when Windows Explorer and Skype would freeze and then finally Skype would break, release of Windows Explorer.

  I changed the HARD drive forever and Skype still crashes randomly, even when I'm not using it but just it open in the background. Sometimes it works fine until half an hour before crashing, it takes less than a minute sometimes for her crashing again after the reboot.

  I tried to completely reinstall Skype (including remove the Skype of AppData folder) but it has not fixed the accidents (a new installation of Skype with an existing user is annoying as hell, you will hear the DING almost constantly while it receives all messages passed...).

  I have attached the report of the Windows event log below.

  I had Satellite P10 for the year 2003. So please don't get me wrong, but you have 6 years book, designed for Windows XP Home edition and now you ask you cannot find drivers for Win7.

  What you can do? Nothing. This oldie is not supported for Win7.
  Use the operating system that is supported and to be happy. If you want to use a more recent software I think it's time for the most recent material. ;)

  Satellite P10 is also really nice and absolutely reliable laptop.

• Satellite P10 554 turns off, can't start again, but the lights still burning

  My P10 554 stops after a few minutes. After that, I can't restart, but led lights are always on fire. When I'm waiting for a few minutes or a few hours, then I can restart my laptop once again, but it spans about one or two minutes and then stops himself again...

  If the AC adapter is plugged in to the computer some LEDS are usually on. For example the battery LED lights up green when it s fully charged.
  However, it s not usual that the laptop stops after several minutes of race and for me it certainly looks like a hardware failure.

  The problem is just a common user like me and you is not usually able to fix or to locate the fault. You certainly need a help of a technician with a lot more experience.
  The guys from the ASP can run diagnostic tests and are able to find out what's wrong on the Board.

  I got a Satellite P10 554, and as I said above the RAM does not work.
  It should be a software problem, because if I reinstall the drivers it works a few minutes (it did until now yesterday it stopped completely)
  It is impossible to install the new drivers or update a firmware somehow
  (pilot: after rebooting, the old drivers are loaded again (but I uninstalled them))
  (firmware update: I still got the message: invalid drive to update f/w)

  The error message says it all. I think you re not able to update the firmware because the firmware is not supported on this drive.

  Try to remove the drive from Device Manager, and then shut down the laptop.
  Usually after restarting again the operating system should recognize the drive again.
  If this does not help, you can try to remove the drive from the laptop. Turn on the unit, then go into windows. The reader should disappear. Then stop and reset the drive in the notebook. After this procedure the laptop must load the firmware again.

  I ve got a P10-554 and tried to install a mini-PCI Intel 2200BG card. the driver is correct installed but the work of won´t-hardware switch. I have could´t turn on the wireless card.

  in another P10 554 a 2100 b card work very well.

  It is possible that new generation cards cannot be activated by a wireless switch. I'm not sure that f happens only with Intel adapters. Please check in Device Manager if the card is recognized and installed correctly. If so try to establish a wireless connection.

  I'm sure it should work correctly.
