  • HP Laserjet P1102W wireless connection problem

I have a P1102W which worked very well up to what it wasn't wireless.  I use an AT & T Uverse 2Wire router and Windows Vista.  I have not changed anything, and one day the network would not recognize the wireless printer.  I've turned off (unplugged) everything and turned on the back without success. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the printer and have just received a message that the network could not connect to the printer.  The printer works when it is connected with a cable, but the blue wireless light just blinks and then turns off - indicating that there are no wireless signal.  All other devices and wireless printers on this network work very well.  HP support was no help, because the warranty had expired 2 DAYS ago!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi kadmiral,

    Follow the steps below.

1 uninstall the printer to the computer using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

    2. download the software and the driver for your operating system from the link below.

HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer drivers

    3. follow step 3: connect to the wireless network - second method: Standard connecting with a USB cable

If your wireless router does not support Router Setup (WPS), you can use this method to set up the product on a wireless network. With the help of a cable USB to transfer parameters facilitates establishing a Wi - Fi connection. Once the installation is complete, remove the USB cable.

  • Difficult to change usb Laserjet P1102W wireless connection

I currently have a macbook OS X Version 10.6.8 running.  I initially installed the printer (P1102w laserjet) with a usb connection and now I need to change to the wireless.  Setup online says to do the following:

System of preferences print and Fax to Open what to print , and then click printer setup

Then click on the utility tab, and then click Open Printer Utility

Then click on Config of HTML.

Here is where I encountered the problem.  When I click on Config of HTML, instead of opening the utility, as shown in the video, it opens a browser with a bunch of html source code.  I can't do something more that there is nothing to click, just a bunch of code.

    Can anyone help?

    Hi @shardul2000,

I see that you are having problems running the HTML code to configure the wireless. I would like to help.

Make sure that Safari is set as default browser. (sometimes the SAP will not open if it is not set by default)

Open Safari, at the top, select the Safari menu, select Preferences, general, as a default value.

Delete and add the USB printer in the print and scan window and try to re-run the HTML code.

If you're still having problems, close all applications to access another way to run the HTML code.

In the Apple menu bar, click Go, computer, MAC hard drive, library, Printers, HP, LaserJet, click the folder for your printer, click HTML config, it should open the webserver integrated for the printer to set up the wireless, and then click the network tab, click on wireless on the left and fill out your information. (be sure to infrastructure is selected and alpha or numeric is selected) Apply the settings.

You should get a solid blue light on the printer in 1 minute about.

Remove the USB driver, then add the network printer:

    Click on the Apple.
    Click on System Preferences.

    Click the printing and scanning.

Select the printer, and then click the sign - to remove the printer. (USB driver)

    Unplug the USB cable.

Then click on the + sign and select the printer from the list and click Add. (Hello P1102w)

    Test the printer.

If you need help, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • HP LaserJet Pro P1102w: HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Wireless Installation - adding other laptops and desktop PC...

    Hello

I have a question about computers adding more to my HP printer.

I followed the instructions & so I can print wireless from laptop, I used during the installation (after removing the USB cable).

I can also print wireless from our various iPads & iPhones (after the change of the printer WiFi).

But I don't see how I can 'Add' laptop (Windows Vista) daughter & my main desktop computers (Windows XP), so they can print wireless too!

Does anyone know how to do this?

I tried to launch the installation of the drive on my laptop HP printer girls. He was able to recognize the printer, but was unfortunately unable to print.

For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Simon B.

    Hi & thanks,

I also found a solution to install my printer HP LaserJet Pro P1102w wireless & connecting then 2nd, 3rd & subsequent laptop/desktop computers.

I initially reset the printer to remove any configuration, then I did the following:-

Install on a laptop using a CD or could start simply by connecting the USB cable to the laptop. Follow the instructions, test the characters etc. (to prove that the wireless network is configured correctly)).

Check printing wireless since this laptop computer 1 initial works, & also works various iPad/iPhone etc.

Problems have been met when try to get other laptops/workstations to print wireless (2nd & later).

The following seemed to work: -.

On the other portable computers desktop (do not plug printer with USB cable): -.

    (1) the installation of the CD,

    (2) choose the series w1100 - Wireless install,

    (3) choose to install the printer software (& display the Guide of the user if want),

    4) click Add another printer (option 1).

    (5) choose HP LJ P1100w Pro Series.

    (6) choose option 3 (to connect to a network configured wireless (that established earlier),

    (7) following, a lot of software is installed,

    (8) identify the printer by choosing the method to identify it (select in a list),

    (9) side of firewall pinhole (all).

    (10) looking for printer, concludes HP LJ Pro P1102w,

    (11) then the TCP/IP data has been: -.
    IP 192.168.2.46
    Subnet 255.255.255.0
    Gateway 192.168.2.1

    Host Name NPI1C754F

    (12) (stupid 'password required' kept appearing several times - X box to close),

    (13) to enable direct printing,

    (14) then,

Finally success!  A test prints to computers/idevices like many that I could find.

Thank you very much. I hope the above can help someone else!

  • HP P1102W WIRELESS PRINTING HAS STOPPED WORKING

Our P1102W lost the wi - fi connection and we cannot get it back.  Seems to be a printer WiFi issue.

It is one of two HP printers (other is a 5510) using a wifi network at home (WPA2, w/password), accessible by a Dell laptop and an Apple MacBook AIr (mines).  Two computers can access the 5510.  Both lost the P1102W.

The blue network on the P1102W is no longer regularly lights up.  By pressing the button on the P1102W wireless accomplishes nothing.  Electric bike achieves nothing (but used).  Moving the printer does not help.  P1102w works fine on USB key.

We tried to reset the Modem and the router. No change.

We have reinstalled the software. No change.

We tried to run the instructions from HP to make the printer wireless using Printer HTML Config Utility, but there page does not load in Safari. (Very frustrating).

    Hi @maddog8212 ,

I see that you have lost connection with the P1102w wireless. I will definitely do my best to help you.

I would like to reset the printer first to clear the previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
    Print a Configuration Page.

Plug the USB cable from the printer to the computer.

I have provided Windows and Mac steps, you can choose how you want to set up the printer again.

    Windows as follows:

Run the Wireless Setup to set up the printer on the network again.

Go to start, all programs, HP, HP Laserjet P1102w, then select Wireless Network Configuration.

    Steps to configure the wireless.

    Then, unplug the USB cable.

    Test the printer.

Mac as follows: (since you mentioned that you had the HTML option for your Mac)

Make sure that Safari is set as default browser. (sometimes the SAP will not open if it is not set by default)

Open Safari, at the top, select the Safari menu, select Preferences, general, as a default value.

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu bar, click Go, computer, MAC hard drive, library, Printers, HP, LaserJet, click the folder for your printer, click browser EWS or HTML config, it should open the webserver integrated for the printer to set up the wireless, and then click the network tab, click on wireless on the left and fill out your information.

    Try to print.

If you have run Setup for the wireless again on Mac in the first place, on the Windows computer, simply create a new port.

Go to start, devices and printers, click right on the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the ports tab.

Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
  • HP Laserjet Pro P1102w printer: HP P1102w wireless printer will not pair with a SBG6782-AC Motorola Wireless Cable Modem Gateway

I already had Internet AT & T U-verse using a Wireless Modem Arris IPDSL NVG510 gateway.  My laptop HP running Windows 8.1 and the HP LasrJet Pro P1102w wireless Prnter systematically and automatically connected to the wireless network NVG510 with no problems over the past two years and the wireless printer works without problem.

I recently replaced the Internet AT & T U-verse connection a connection of Mbs Comcast Xfinity Intrnet 25, using a Motorola Arris SURFboard SBG6782-AC Wireless Cable Modem Gateway.   My HP under Win 8.1 Pro laptop connects to the network and access to Internet without any problems what-so-ever.  However, the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w wireless printer connects to the wireless network and I can't print at all from my laptop.

I would be very appreciately all help experts in this Forum.  to get the printer working wirelessly, since we also wireless print to this printer of IPads and other wireless laptops.

    Hi @Atmasin,

I see that you have trouble connecting the printer to the new router. I want to help you.

If the network name has spaces or special characters, the printer may not recognize it.

The printer is able to send/receive in the 2.4 ghz band.

If it is set to 5 GHZ network, you may need to change to 2.4 ghz. (rename the 5 ghz or turn it off)

The WPA key setting must be on AES to work properly not TKIP.

    Multi flow must be enabled.
Router firewall must be open for printer ports.
If you have Mac filtering give you printer hardware to meet the needs of the Configuration page.

You may need to contact your router company to get help to check these settings.

Try to run the Configuration Wizard wireless of the HP software to set up the printer on the network.

  • Re: P1102W - wireless Yosemite

    Hello

I tried to make my HP Laserjet P1102w printer to find the system wireless in my office at home, but he refuses... just keeps blinking blue eyes!  I bought the printer in late fall 2014 and have never been able to set up the Wi - Fi printing thing.  That's why I bought this printer - wireless printing!  Very unsatisfactory.

I traveled all forums added support 4 - 5 times, dleeted and printers, checked the connections, read the forum without end tips, etc. and still nothing.

I have running on all my devices of Yosemite and want the Air Mac I use to search for a wireless connection for printer... but no luck.

    any thoughts there?

    Hey @LC49,

Welcome to the HP's Support Forum!  I understand that you are unable to print wireless using your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer.  I want to help you with this and may have the steps you need to get this printer connected to your network.

To get started, see the article after a wireless installation of HP:

Setting up the printer on a wireless network for the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer

You will see a number of configuration options in the article.  I recommend you try the following method:

Setup wireless using a USB connection

  • I want to reset hp p1102w wireless default IP address manually

I want to reset hp p1102w wireless to the default IP address manually without a web brouser wireless connection.

    I'm on win7

I tried to set a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.101, but I used the false mask of 255.255.0.0

    I could use 255.255.255.0

So, when I use the hp Wireless Setup is says I can connect to the printer, but the network is bad.

So I couldn't reset the IP address and the mask for the correct values through the fbrouser web.

I noticed that with my 2 other similar printers there is a checkbox indicating the reset default wireless.

I wonder if it is possible to set the default settingson the printer manually without an internet connection to web brouser?

What can I do to solve my problem?

Any suggestions you can give me, I would apprectiate.

The proposed document was good and all

I liked the section 'Download updates of the firmware for your hp printer'

I found a paper by Shiomil "the HP 1102w printer stuck manual IP".

    solved my problem

To reset the default firmware values "lbuttons cance and wireless-press and then switch the printer"

After that, I ran the standard wirless install procedure and has obtained an IP address from the printer proveided by the DHCP router.

Then I used the brouser with this IP address for the printer setup page.

Then I reset the IP address to the IP address fixed, I want to use the printer.

    That solved my priobelm

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello analyst.1,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that you can print from your MacBook Pro to your HP using Ethernet and wireless printer, but not via Bluetooth. I know how it is important to ensure that you can connect to your printer via Bluetooth. I'll be more than happy to help you with this.

Use OS X El Capitan: Add or remove a printerand make sure you have the latest version of the software installed and printer connection instructions, specifically, this section:

    Add a Bluetooth printer

    1. Update your software: choose the Apple menu > App Store, click updates, and then install the listed software updates. Even if no updates appear, this ensures that OS X has the latest information on printing software you can download from Apple. If you don't do this, you see a message that software is not available when you connect your printer.

If you have a printer AirPrint, you have no need to check the software updates.

    2. Prepare your printer: use the instructions that came with your printer to unpack the printer, install the ink or toner and add paper. Turn on the printer and make sure it is not the display of errors.

    3. Connect your printer: follow the instructions that came with your printer to make sure it is ready to connect through Bluetooth. You must also make sure to activate Bluetooth and set up the printer Bluetooth as a new device.

After connecting your printer, if you see a message prompting you to download new software, be sure to download and install it. OS X will automatically use AirPrint if your printer supports.

    Have a great day!

  • How to configure a printer wireless connected to Time Capsule?

I just bought a printer HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M577z MFP Flow. It has capabilities of wireless printing. So far, I was able to connect wirelessly to one of my MacBook Pro computers, but only by having the printer create an Ad - hoc network that allows up to 5 devices to connect to the printer. But that of not what I want because every computer should manually disconnect the Wi - Fi network, connect to the Ad hoc network, the print job and then reconnect to the Wi - Fi network whenever a print job is required. It is very difficult and frustrating.

What I would like is striking is the printer act like a network printer by wireless connection to my Time Capsule. I can't connect the printer to the USB port of time Capsule because they are far away from each other, and I don't want to use cables throughout my place. But I have no idea on how to do it because I can't find this option in the menu of the writer or configuration of the United Nations the HP utility software.

I hope someone here could help me, please. Thank you!

I have an Epson printer, so some of my experiences may or may not apply.

I also have a time Capsule, and my printer and Time Capsule are far apart.

My current configuration looks exactly what you are looking for: a wireless network provided by Time Capsule than all my Apple devices to a wireless connection, and my printer connects to the same wireless network.

When I first bought the Epson printer, I needed to connect it to the Capsule of time via a USB port.  This sounds as if it were true for you as well.  So, for this very short period. I moved the printer via the USB port next to the printer, the connected Time Capsule, made the setup and then the printer recognized my standard wireless network.  I've returned to steady state, which I use now, with the printer and the far (actually on different floors) Time Capsule.

  • 7520 HP loses the wireless connection. What can I do?

I've seen lots of talk about HP products, loss of wireless connection.  I have the same problem with my 7520.  Initial Setup is perfect, but he began to lose the connection when it went into standby mode.  Someone at - it a solution?

    THERE IS A FAST SOLUTION!
On April 18, 2014 (page 11 of this thread), I posted a quick solution. My HP7520 printer has worked on Netgear router WIFI 7550 flawless since then. I suggest you read this post.
From long experience with HP, I found they have great hardware, but their software has always been dismal. The ultimate "fix" would be for HP address their failure of a software that allows to my difficulty in working.
A single "tweak" in the router security settings wifi will do. The rest of settings changes other people have suggested are short lived (about an hour in most cases), while they don't be reconnected unless they restart everything. It makes sense because of what is happening.
The single "twist" parameter should logically point HP programmers to where in the firmware, there is the problem. They listen to? And, really, it doesn't matter on all other settings printer and router. All mine are back to the default settings and it all still works very well.
Go to a BBQ and stop wasting your time on this issue.

  • Very limited wireless connection

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 - 3153ca with a 64-bit windows system 7 and I'm only able to get a wireless connection when the laptop is very close to the modem. Once the laptop is moved, for example, to another floor of the House, the connection is lost and cannot be re established until I have the back next to the modem. He has no problem with the wired connection. This has happened while he was trying to pass my McAfee security provider, although I don't think this is the problem that my other laptop (a Dell) converted without this problem. The other laptop continues to maintain its connection Wireless throughout the House, so the router and the modem is not the issue. I downloaded and re-installed the adapter without modification. I have scanned the laptop and nothing is reported in the mess. Are there any ideas as to why the wireless connection works only when the laptop remains close to the modem? Thank you.

It seems I may not have been very clear in my previous post.  I wanted to suggest was to reverse the connection of the antenna.  As mentioned in the thread I linked, the connections might have been reversed from what they should be from the factory.  If this is the case, then connect the antennas in a factory setting would not solve the problem.

Have you tried to reverse the antennas?  If they are in the deformities, then this would fix it.  If they are in the right position, then the worst you would have (only in the deformities) would drop signal strength.
