P1102W

I have purchsed several HP P1102W printer for my producer of network for compatibility "AirPrint" for our iPads.

Since we have several of them will be P1102W in different places, is there a way to get into the settings of the printers /GUI and change is name/ID?

Thank you for your help

If you go to the SAP (built-in web server) the printer, 'inside' of the admin section, you will be able to change there.

To achieve this printer's built-in web server, follow these steps:

  1. Print a configuration page of the HP printer control panel (press and hold the product Cancel button until the loan is flashing and then release the button to print the configuration page.

  • HP P1102w EWS troubleshooting

I have a HP P1102w who worked before wireless, but when I recently tried to reinstall I had problems with the built-in webserver (EWS) driver, eliminating my wireless feature. According to the device configuration page, the without wire is turned on and connected to my network, but I can't get real to work functions, and it does not respond when I try to find its IP address. Windows troubleshooting is not a solution, and reinstall the drivers, firmware update and installing ePrint all have not solved the problem. I am running Win 7 64 bit. Thank you.

The SAP is not required for a printer to connect to a network.  The SAP is only another way to interface with the printer.  The requirement is not a two-way relationship.  A printer may be on a network without a built-in Web server, but the SAP are not accessible without network communications.  I assure you that the SAP is not not accessible does not cause the network problem, but it's a symptom of a problem of network communication.  The SAP is simply a site that is on the printer and accessible as any other site except that a number is entered instead of a variety of www.site.com .

The problem you are experiencing is a network communication problem and cannot be resolved by the built-in Web server.  Your computer does not communicate with the printer on the network.

It seems that the printer has a valid IP address, because it corresponds to a standard private class C address.

I have seen this scenario before and reset the network in a specific way has the best chance of a resolution.

    1. turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.

    2. shut down the computer in question.

    3. turn off the power to the router for 5 minutes.

    4. reconnect power to the router and wait for all the lights return to normal.

    5. reconnect the printer to the power cord and plug the cord into the wall outlet.  Turn on the printer if it does not start automatically.

    6. when the powers of the printer and wireless light turns a solid blue light on, start the computer to the top.

See if you can access the built-in Web server.

The problem is a problem of network communication and the above steps usually solves problems of this nature.

  • HP Laserjet P1102W wireless connection problem

I have a P1102W which worked very well up to what it wasn't wireless.  I use an AT & T Uverse 2Wire router and Windows Vista.  I have not changed anything, and one day the network would not recognize the wireless printer.  I've turned off (unplugged) everything and turned on the back without success. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the printer and have just received a message that the network could not connect to the printer.  The printer works when it is connected with a cable, but the blue wireless light just blinks and then turns off - indicating that there are no wireless signal.  All other devices and wireless printers on this network work very well.  HP support was no help, because the warranty had expired 2 DAYS ago!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi kadmiral,

    Follow the steps below.

1 uninstall the printer to the computer using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

    2. download the software and the driver for your operating system from the link below.

    3. follow step 3: connect to the wireless network - second method: Standard connecting with a USB cable

If your wireless router does not support Router Setup (WPS), you can use this method to set up the product on a wireless network. With the help of a cable USB to transfer parameters facilitates establishing a Wi - Fi connection. Once the installation is complete, remove the USB cable.

  • LaserJet P1102w: HP LaserJet P1102w prints EXTREMELY slow by Wi - Fi

I was struggling with this problem for a long time, but today it completely freaked me. I was ready to throw this piece of... printer!

Problem is simple. When I try to print something wireless with graphics (jpeg or pictures images) to my iPhone, the iPad iOS 8.4 or the MacBook OS X 10.10 Yosemite, it takes forever! Document Word, PDF, preview or other programs - same result! I couldn't pring 9 pages today, after that 20 minutes, I gave up.

What is going on. Let's say I'm on mac. Special print goes to the queue of the printer, as usual. After that, this task shows in the queue as 'connection to the printer', green light flashing on the printer, as usual. It takes a minute or two, it's this that unusual. After that, "printing page 1 of departure." This can take 1, 2, 3 minutes... forever! Then a page prints in fact (for 5-7 minutes at this stage brand) and it takes time even to print page two and so on, or (probably) it will spit the unfinished page (only two or three inches printed and the rest of the page is empty) and displays an error flashing light orange. UGH!

I gave up on iPhone/iPad it long, since they can't see the print queue and it is the unpredictable result. You can wait 10 minutes for your document, and then leave and then just find the document printed when you no longer need (or half of the document).

I don't have this problem when you print any text, emails, simple confirmation of safari pages and so on. Only when printing document with pdf graphics or heavy. I don't have this problem when you connect the printer via the USB port (discovered this today). Now what really bothers me, is the fact that I actually could print heavy machine PDF Windows without wireless problem (I had exact problem even print document from my mac). What is going on?!

I googled this problem and found that I am not alone. I've updated all the software and firmware, I tried to reset everything - No. DICE! It's really very frustrating. I thought that this is because of the memory of the printer, but why it works perfectly via USB then?

In any case, it is a cry from the heart. Help, please. The printer is good, but unusabe in certain situations.

    Hello @Ivan4!

Welcome to the community of HP.

I hope you have a pleasant experience here!

I want to help you with slow printing that you encounter when you print images of your HP LaserJet P1102w wireless of your Apple devices.

I thank very you much for the detailed description. Because the printer is able to print fine wireless windows machine, we know that the issue is not with the printer or the communication. The fact that none of the Apple devices are able to print wireless images without being really slow, leads me to believe maybe it's a problem with the AirPrint driver or the Hello protocol that your Apple devices use to communicate information.

Image files are much larger, and much more data needs to be transmitted, so it is normal for them to take longer to print than a regular text document. However, if there is a marked difference in speed between the Windows computer and Apple devices, then the question is probably not just the files are larger.

I want you to make sure that the printer is installed with the driver on your Mac. (Because there is no feature complete HP software available for Mac 10.10 operating system will often default to the AirPrint driver)

    1. Click on the Apple icon on your Menu bar.
    2. Select System Preferences.
    3. Choose Printers and Scanners.
    4. Select your printer and press the (-) button at the bottom of the list to remove.
    5. Select (+), and then click Add printers and Scanners. (NOTE: do not select the printer in the list of printers nearby as this will often use the AirPrint driver automatically)
    6. Select your printer (one that shows multifunction Hello under 'Type').
    7. At the bottom of the window under use: does say AirPrint? If so, click on the drop-down list , and you should see a specific driver for the printer. Click on Add.
    8. Try to print a picture once again and let me know the result.

If it works to solve the problem, then I suggest downloading the HP ePrint app on your iPhone / iPad to print. It may be a problem of incompatibility between the AirPrint on your Apple devices and your router.

I look forward to hear from you and work at a resolution of this problem.

Tried it on another laptop running Windows 7 - same problem. I had the same problem when working on a clients computer.

    (1) it has been infected by viruses, so we had to make a Virus removal on his computer.

So you want to make sure that your computer is virus-free

    (2) in most Windows 8 HP computers in particular, drivers automatically installs on the computer.

Check your device manager and click on printers. It will show what is connected.

I installed a new router (Netgear R6220) and cannot figure out how to get the P1102w printer to recognize the new router. It shows the former name of the router (Belkin.833) on the test page and displays the IP address configured by AutoIP rather than DHCP as the old router does. The computer is a desktop Dell Dimenstion about 3 years and use Windows 7. The router connects to the computer to the Internet.

    Hello

In this case it may be an alternative, find the ip address of the printer and type it in your browser. You should have the printer's built-in web server. on this page there should be a 'smart install' tab click on it and on the next page, select Download. The driver will be downloaded from the printer itself. Of the itselfd of the printer, you say? Yes, the printer, these printers have a feature smart install, which means that there are a small amount of memory in the printer that contains the printer driver.

  • HP P1102W HTML Config does not

••• REPOST! STILL NOT RESOLVED! •••

    PRINTER: HP P1102W

    COMPUTER: MACBOOK PRO (2014)

TOPIC: CONFIG HTML DOES NOT OPEN

We recently got a new wireless network and I need to update my printer to reflect the change. However, when I go into the printer utility then HTML Config, nothing happens! Nothing opens at all. Just, the window closes and goes back to the original window.

I read several other forums on the same issue, but can't seem to find one with a solution.

    Help!

    Thank you

    Shelby

Thanks for providing this information ShelbyB.

    You use 10.9?

IPv4 address is 0.0.0.0, it does not connect.

Restore the default settings of the printer again.

You may need to remove and add the driver back again USB printers and Scanners to get the HTML code to open again.

Check your network encryption to make sure that the type of encryption and password are correct.

If there is a space or a special character in the password, it not be recognized.

To check the network password follow these steps:
In the Apple menu, click on Go, selection of applications, utilities, Keychain Access, double-click the name of the network,
Check the show the password box, type your Mac password to see.

(some networks have a password shortcut configuration)

    To check the encryption type:
In the Apple menu, click on Go, selection of applications, utilities, Keychain Access, on the left side, click on passwords, double-click the name of the network, check the show the password box, type your Mac password to see.

When you enter your information on the part of the printer, under the Mode of Communication, Web Server Infrastructure-click, select your network SSID from the list of available network names (SSID), and then click on the < < button. (update) In the Safe Mode pop-up menu, under authentication, click WEP or WPA/WPA2. Your selection depends on which wireless security protocol used by your network, make sure you select Alpha or hexadecimal, they apply the settings.

Print a Configuration page to see if you now get an IPV4 address. Then add the printer as Hello P1102w printer.

    Test the printer.

    Let me know the results.

    Thank you.
