P2715Q, Windows size and location change after the mode 'sleep'

Hey

After that the monitor wakes up fashion 'sleep', all the windows are in the upper left corner and in different size just before going to sleep. It makes me crazy. Did not help. Found a few registry hacks key, but it can't be that difficult.

I use following:

View P2715Q Dell, Windows 10 Pro GTX 1070

Everything is up-to-date.

Really hope you can help me!

#update 1

It has something to do with how long the mode 'sleep'. I set the Sleep mode function 1 minute, whereas the display 'falling a sleep' and woke up after 30 seconds or more. Everything was in place.

This isn't a question of monitor. It is a video card driver problem. Tiles from 1920 x 1080 uses two P2715Q sewn together by the video card driver to get the resolution of 3840 x 2160. So if the video card driver is slow to initialize the awakening from sleep mode, all open windows and icons are tossed at top left. We see this issue "tile" on AMD and Nvidia drivers. All you can do is to continue testing video card drivers latest when they are released.

Workaround solution =
* Spend 90% of your icons to the taskbar or the far left background
* Close all open windows before allowing computer standby modes

  • Set the CS6 PS 'Open' dialog window size and location

    I just upgraded to OS X Mavericks for OS X El Capitan.  Until the upgrade, I've always been able to set the size of the 'Open' dialog PS CS6 and location, but it would seem that the option is no longer available.  What I get now is a window rather small (default).  I can resize and locate it, but it will not stick.  Next time I open the dialog box window is again at the default size and location.  I'm sure that there is probably an easy answer to this, but it is that I have not found so far.

    Thank you

    The size and location of the operating system open and save dialogs are controlled by the operating system.

    And MacOS 10.11 has some bugs regarding the size and location of these dialog boxes that Apple is still trying to solve.

  • Why my wifi doesn't connect after the mode 'sleep'?

    When I close the lid on my laptop and open it again my wifi does not connect unless I reboot. I have recently installed windows 8 and that's when the problem ensued. My laptop is a hp envy 15-3247nr with all windows 8 drivers installed and updated including the BIOS. It's okay I'm trying, my wifi option remains grayed out even to disable airplane mode. The f12 key stays orange and does not come on until I restart my laptop in a couple times. Help, please.

    (all drivers are up-to-date and in working order and Yes, the power of the network adapter settings have been changed to not save energy)

    Yes, I tried the utility intel to uptate pilot and he was one of the network drivers and windows 8 but when I tried to install it, an error message would come to saying that I had so he couldn't install the supported operating system.

    And Yes, I went into the bios and set all my settings to the default values and after that point it began to work.

    what I specifically made back my driver of network to an earlier version, and then I went into my bios and changed my setting of network adapter the opposite of what they were (activated or deactivated the opposite), restarted my computer (does not solve my computer), so then I went back into the bios and reset all settings to the default values, and after this point is at the beginning of my wifi to connect without having to restart my computer and so far so good.

  • HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na: HP Envy - keyboard and Trackpad not working after the mode 'sleep'.

    HP Envy laptop - 15-ae011na

    I have this laptop for only 1 week, he did various updates. I guess that's from Windows 8 to 8.1. He also completed an update of the BIOS with HP Support Assistant.

    Question: When the awakening of my laptop mode 'sleep', my trackpad and keyboard do not work, I have unlock my PC using HP Simple pass, then press the power button to restart the machine.

    Troubleshooting: I followed some advice for troubleshooting on the support page which lead me to uninstall the keyboard driver then restart my machine. I have all the latest drivers aswell.

    Someone has an idea what might be causing the problem? Ideally, I'd like to do a restore or upgrade of Windows 10 immediately.

    Thank you.

    Looks like this has been caused some my driver problem with Windows 8.1 and I guess that's with HP SimplePass such that it would not recognize the keyboard and the trackpad after waking up to use it.

    I have upgraded to Windows 10 that looks like a solved the problem.

  • Satellite L500 - keyboard idle after the mode 'sleep'

    Help would be welcome please!

    Hey William,

    That s odd, but in my opinion you should try a BIOS update. BIOS version latest for your laptop, you can download from the Toshiba page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

    But let me give you a little advice: update of the BIOS is always a bit risky so make sure that you are logged on as administrator. In addition, extract all the files from zip archive and close all programs running (also AntiVirus).

    By the way: you use pre-installed Windows 7 in Toshiba or did you do your own installation of Windows?

  • Black screen HP Elitebook 850 after the mode 'sleep'

    Hello

    I have a HP Elitebook 850, which is about 3 weeks old. It is running Windows 8.1 with most of the HP software, which is available for this model, installed.

    Once the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' may not wake up for some reason any. The screen remains black and seeing everything seems normal. The only thing to do is either ctr + alt + delete to restart or shutdown forced by using the power button.

    Any ideas?

    Best regards

    Has exactly the same problem.  Called HP support.  They said that I needed to downgrade the video driver I was using.

    Specifically they asked me to check the version of the video driver first:

    1. Start screen, type "Device Manager" and then click to open Device Manager.
    2. In Device Manager, expand "graphics cards".  There were two shown:
      Radeon (TM) AMD HD 8500/8700 M M
      Intel(r) HD Graphics Family
    3. They asked me to double click on the graphics card Intel.  The dialog box properties open;
    4. On the tab driver properties dialog box, check the Version of the driver.  Mine was 10.18.10.3379.

    HP support and then asked me to download an older version of the driver, 10.18.10.3316.  Here's how:

    (1) on the laptop in question go to hp.com;

    (2) in the Help menu of hp.com, click Download drivers;

    (3) search by product: Enter 'Elitebook 850 G1' and press Go.

    (4) multiple results will come to the top, select the one that says 'HP EliteBook 850 G1 Base model Notebook PC';

    (5) to select the operating system: "Windows 8.1 (64-bit);

    (6) from the Index to download, select 'drivers - Graphics ';

    (7) tΘlΘcharger "Driver Intel video and control panel (International)" version 10.18.10.3316, November 15, 2013.  It's a big download, 158 MB.

    Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it.  If you get a dialog box warning you install an earlier version of the driver that is currently installed, click Yes to continue.

    After you have installed the version 10.18.10.3316 driver, I restarted the laptop.

    To test whether the fix had worked I open a text editor and entered the text without saving it (it was to see if the unsaved document would still exist after that the laptop computer woke up from his sleep).  I then put the laptop to sleep by closing the form.  When I opened it again the light behind the power button has been slowly pulsed on and outside and the screen was black.  Based on the presented power button the laptop out of fashion 'sleep' and return to the lock for recording screen in.  Once connected, I found that the unsaved document was still open for the laptop had obviously just slept and rather than restarted rewoken.

    I hope this helps.

  • Computer won't turn on after the mode 'sleep'

    My computer acted funny lately when it goes into mode 'sleep', and I have to reboot it until I can do something new. I know I'm not the only one having this problem, I've read the other posts on this problem. Anyway, my keyboard has a sleep button that I brush occasionally, that causes all this to happen. However, I brushed it today, and instead to go just in a coma, the computer entered into mode 'sleep' (the light was orange, noise died down), then woke up to the top in a way where the fan on, but the light went off. I've forced to close and then turned back on. Now when I turn it on, the light and fan both going on, but the monitor remains off, and none of the lights on the keyboard lights up. Is there a simple solution to this, or it will need repairs?
