I have a p7-1234 Pavilion and want to upgrade the video card. I am currently the EVGA GeForce GT 610 2048 MB GDDR3. This card will work with it?

This is a power supply that will work for you:

http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139048

It is modular allowing you to use only the necessary cables.  This means that there is more room inside the circulation of air.  He is also a 600W which will give you extra power for the possible future upgrades.  Any block of power SUPPLY Corsair will be good.  They are fans of the quality products for a reasonable price.

    mathenson,

You can update the video, install any PCIEx16 card video and the new PSU (power supply).

The general answer is based on the games you play. It is best to search for the site of the game, reading the recommended list 'graphics card '. Then add a little more.

    graphics card comparison site. http://www.hwcompare.com/6232/Radeon-HD-5670-vs-Radeon-HD-6950-2GB/

Hi I have a desktop HP Pavilion HPE h8-1100 AMD Angelica with a 300w power supply. The current map graphic is a Radeon HD 6450.  I want to upgrade to the best game card that my pc will support.  Any help and options would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much Happy New Year!

Looking for an opportunity 660TI GTX.  A CX600 Corsair or CS650m would be a good choice for a power supply.

  • I have a desktop hp a305 pc. can I upgrade the video card?

He joined the XGP intel.  I can provide all the system information, but I would like to know if it's possible before I look into it further.

You can upgrade the PC with a PCI video card. Are you sure that it is useful to spend the money on a PC which is about five generations behind current PC? If your plans are for games, then you should be aware that even with a video card updated it does not very well more recent games with a high SPF. The biggest factor limiting the CPU and operating system.

As always, the choice is yours.  Most of the video on this page Newegg cards will work. I suggest that you stay with the lowest prize cards, but choose as much memory as possible.

I recommend saving up for a new PC system more current rather than invest the money in which one might stop working shortly.

  • Can I upgrade the video card on my HP pavilion a4311f?

I have a HP Pavilion a4311f desktop computer.  I want to upgrade the video card.  Can I do this and what compatible video card?

  • Upgrade the video card in Pavilion HPE 380t

    Hello

I want to upgrade the video card in my HPE 380 t, currently it has geforce gtx 260, I want to install a geforce gtx 560 ti or 570.

I have 2 problems with the viability of this. 1. space. and 2. Food. Has anyone successfully completed a similar upgrade on this system?

Plug current sys is the following.

    • Intel Core i7 - 930 quad-core [2.8 GHz, 1 MB L2 + 8 MB of cache N3 shared]
    • 12GB DDR3 - 1066 MHz SDRAM [6 DIMMS]
    • 1 TB hard drive 7200 RPM SATA 3 Gb/s of 750Go
    • 1.8 GB NVIDIA Geforce GTX 260 [2 DVI, HDMI and VGA adapters]
    • LightScribe 16 X MAX drive DVD +/-R/RW SuperMulti

    power of 460 wt

About the food, the psu calculator gives me the following recommendations

I need my current configuration 529W!

    with a gtx 560 ti , I need 513

    with a gtx 570, I need 577W

    This raises a few questions:

    1. How can my system running on a 460wt power if the power supply calculator recommends 529w (nvidia reccomends a PSU 500w for the gtx 260 which is installed on my machine?)

    2. how the song gtx 560 ti could possibly require less energy than my current gtx 260?

    3. could I move to one of these cards without replacing the power supply? (I'd be willing to lose the dvd/rw drive, this falls 30w)

    4. what someone has updated the PSU in a HPE 380 t? Looks like there is a little extra space, but not much?

About the video card itself, I am concerned about the space, I looked inside of the case, there is a decent amount of clearance around the gtx 260, but I'd love to hear from someone who has tried to replace this card.

    Specifications for standard cards are:

    gtx 260 courses:

height: 4,376 inches, length: 10.5 inches, width: double slot

    recommended psu 500w

    GTX 560 ti

height: 4,376 inches, length: 9 inches, width: double slot

    recommended psu 500w

    GTX 560 ti super clocked

height: 9.4 inches, length: 11.8 inches, width: double slot

    GTX 570

height: 4,376 inches, length: 10.5 inches, width: double slot

    recommended psu 550w

bang for buck the 560 ti superclocked is the best deal, unfortunately they are also the most cumbersome...

    All advice appreciated!

    Hello

The difference will be the distance between the power supply and the optical bays can be annoying.  Open your PC and do some measure and see if a thumb causes less issues.  Don't forget the extra cable lengths.

Tip: When you install the new power supply, remove the front cover, lock the optical drive and slide if forward to facilitate the installation of the power supply. Do the PSU upgrade before you get your PC stable before installing new video card.

These "how-to" HP articles should be useful.

The OCZ has a bus verses double 12 volts the Corsair with a rail.  There is always a debate about who is best. Both have advantages and disadvantages.  I prefer implementing the only bus.  The really big PSUS, all seem to have several buses. The material of the size of the bus which had to bear the whole of the amperage on a bus would be rather substantial with very large power supplies and there are other reasons.

    Hello

Here are the specs of your machine:

He uses: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 M, which is soldred to the motherboard so practically you can not change because you have to change the motherboard, to buy the new video card, to change the cooling system... all adding up will cost more than a new machine.

  • HP Pavilion 500-164, upgrade the video card.

I replaced the power supply in this area for a graphics card into the PCIE slot. I put a Nvidia 9600 GT in the box, not changed no settings, tried to start, and I get no bios and 6 beeps. Any advice?

Based on specifications, your desktop HP Pavilion 500-164 has been bundled with Windows 8 installed and has a feature called 'Secure Boot'. You must DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ACTIVATE the standby mode 'legacy' in the BIOS before the computer will start with the nVidia 9600 GT installed.

Please, remove the video card, make changes to the BIOS and turn off the computer. Then, reinstall the video card and turn on the computer. Your problem should be solved.

Please see Computer Does starts is not after the installation of a videocard (Windows 8) for more information on the subject.

  • I have a Pavilion dv6 laptop and I want to upgrade the graphics card

I'm the product: HP Pavilion dv6t - b 6, 00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC

    Product number: QJ912AV #ABA

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

Graphics factory-installed: Radeon HD 6490 m + Intel(r) HD Graphics Family (but I spend the Intel 3000 drivers)

My graphics were problems since I got my laptop and I didn't realize what a few months after when I did a check on why my graphics running on low FPS. I called customer service and they could not solved the problem, so I started to do the research and updating my drivers for each of them and switching them too. I have finally fixed them and instead to run Minecraft on 22 FPS, I was there at more than 60 FPS.

Now, this graphics card is good and all, but there are not adapted to the new games (and I've had this laptop 1 year). What don't get me, is why HP installs some old graphics chips in a new laptop. in any case, I want to see what I can put in the new card. I really want to install and Nvidia 650 m, but I don't know because I don't have any information on my motherboard and it is manufactured by HP. Why I want to improve it is because that 1.) This chip sucks and can't play the games of 2005 and more than 2). He cannot run newer games like I'm a player PC of BF3. I get a strong brand of 28 FPS on BF3-ultimate low quality on this game, he reached sometimes 30 but not much. I want this thing to run as good as my game desktop computer that is custom built, so I really want to know what works with this laptop.

Please help me to know what works so I'll be better satisfied with HP products.

Read this document. This has been implemented by one of the community experts (erico).

The answer is usually going to be no upgrade that has been done on the graphics card as this is usually soldered to the motherboard and designed to work with specific chipsets. The fact that this example uses the switchable graphics actually still less likely. I'm sorry.

PC hardware is changing at a rapid pace, so you get a day probably will be obsolete in a few months if not sooner. I personally ordered a laptop and there was already a new model of the series which has a better processor and graphics card to this topic. Alas, I was outside the return period and could not take advantage of the new model.

This largely depends on the software used, but cell phones are not usually able to achieve the same performance as a desktop game PC. My laptop performs as well as my office during playback of half-life 2, but there is a big difference when I play Crysis. The experience will depend on how the program is written and how the game engine is optimized. It varies from game to game.

    No mate problem!

A new processor, power SUPPLY and a graphics card means that, probably, a new decent machine might be a better option. Take a look on ebay, I suggest that a few Intel Core i5 - 750 can be a very good machine, because it's a pure core quad and beats even a core i7 mobile Processor...

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: Possibility to upgrade the video card or processor?

    Hello

I wonder if I can improve my laptop so I can run some games (better). I'm sorry if this has been asked before for this model. Here is my card:

    Productnaam:HP PC portable Pavilion 15
    Productnummer:J8D20EA #ABH
    Totaal geheugen:6.00 GB
APU A8-6410 Processornaam:AMD with AMD Radeon R5 graphics card

    Thank you very much.

The model number is 15-p053nd. There is unfortunately no way to upgrade. On this model the processor and the video are soldered on the motherboard so that the only way to update something would be to replace the motherboard. A motherboard replacement with a processor and upper specification video card will cost as much as the computer laptop everything worth it and would still need to be installed. Also, you already have a system that is so he has very much put at level square, near the top anyway.

    @MacTheSteve, welcome to the forum.

This is Service and Maintenance Guide for the workstation.

I contacted StarTech to see if they would have an adapter 'Y' which had two 8-pin power connectors.  However, those that they should be the following on your motherboard or the power supply:

StarTech Brandon: basically, there are 4 SATA power or LP4 molex.

I believe that your diet is enough power, but simply do not have the required connectors.  At least, I don't the seen on the diagram of the motherboard.  It seems that you need to upgrade the PSU.

    You are welcome.

Yes, it is certainly an option.  Here is an example of an adapter that you could use.  There are 2 ports USB 3.0 on the back i/o ports.

There are others that can add up to 6 monitors to a single computer.  I am not sure that this would not require an upgrade of the power supply, however.
