P7-1235

I'm working on my boss with Windows7 installed P7-1235.   The system does not light.  The power supply LED is lit and the CPU fan turns momentarily and then stops.  I tried two other feeds with the same result and placed the power supply HP in an other cumputer and it worked very well.  I get the same result with all the fittings and memory on the motherboard.  Almost sure the problem is not power, but the motherboard.

Of course there are programs and data that are using the same desirable high hard drive.  I met Windows7 use chip set information so that the replacement of the motherboard must have the same or very close chip.

My question: is the motherboard of MSI MS-7778 (exclusive HP) the motherboard DEAD or is there other motherboards that can be installed and still except for the already configured hard drive?

Thanks for any help

jrsherman,

All HP motherboards have a "tattoo" that will only allow the same motherboard to boot WIN7 licensed OEM.

So your answer is only a card mother MSI MS-7778 can be installed and always with the exception of the already configured hard drive.

    Hello:

The biggest problem you may encounter is that the audio probably does not work once you upgrade to W10.

Other than that, looking at the specifications for your PC it seems that all the other materials should work properly.

If you decide to roll the dice, and after installing W10, there is no audio data, you can try this driver below that worked for others with the same IDT audio chip.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

    File name: sp71717.exe

Here is a forum member that have fundamentally improved PC the same model as yours to W10.  Other than the sound works, he apparently had no other problems.

  • Allowing the use of UEFI in Firmware on a Pavilion P7-1235

Greetings.  I'm trying to get the firmware in my Pavilion P7-1235 to recognize my hard drive and DVD drive as UEFI supported devices.  I'm looking to do this so that I can install Windows 8 (64-bit) with the support of GPT.  This will allow me to have more that 4 MBR partitions supports.

The system is installed with Windows 7 (64-bit), and I believe that Firmware acknowledged the two features of UEFI support.  But since I wiped the drive in order to perform an installation of Windows 8 own/release to date, both devices no longer appear as 'UEFI Supported' devices in the firmware.

In addition, when I press "ESC" during the initial start-up and attempt to select "Run UEFI request... ', nothing happens.  Through reading, I'm guessing that this is happening because I deleted the "HP_TOOLS" partition on the disk.  But I don't know if delete this partition is also the cause of my lack of support UEFI.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The score of "HP tools" is UEFI support and removing it causes your problems. If completely erase you the disk, rather than selectively wiping, you also deleted from your HP Recovery partition. I hope that you have already created your HP recovery disks so that you can recovery your computer to a factory State if necessary. Running the recovery discs HP can restore the partition HP Tools support and UEFI. If that does not do it, you may need to contact HP Customer Support to solve your problem.

  • P7-1235: problem 750ti and p7-1235 GTX

I recently bought an eVGA GTX 750Ti to install in this PC. The choice of the card was mainly for the low power draw, the PC has only a power of 300w.

Once the video card is installed (after uninstalling the onboard video drivers), the computer seems to start normally up through "starting Windows." The video hangs here, and I could not solve so far. Audible, you can hear the computer clear the checkpoint - it starts, I can type my password and login, even managed to use the ease of access to navigate a little by ear.

You try to start low resolution mode results in the same problem. Any ideas on how to see this problem?

    CPU: AMD A8 - 5500 (integrated Radeon D 7560) APU
    Motherboard: MSI ms-7778 (Jasmine)
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

It's true... most 750ti gtx require UEFI

but does msi nvidia gpu series 600/700 with hybrid bios feature... the game frozr twin 750ti they do is delivered with a switch to change from hybrid to the compatibility of the bios legacy (older)... you should return the evga and try that... the only drawback is that the card is a little long... about 8.5 inches long...

or you can also try the 750ti version of msi oc... It also comes with the bios of the hybrid

  • Questions about the replacement of a power supply for a P7-1235

I decided to do an update on my Pavilion P7-1235. I put in a graphics card and put in power level. After doing some research on this forum and others I know well enough that I need. The only question I have is about the food. I don't know what the original power supply. There is a vent on the side where it however. So I guess that there is a fan on this side of the power supply. This eating plan I get:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139050 & TPK = % 20500% 20% 20modular %2 watt Corsair...

I noticed that the fan is on top? Now there is no high ventilation in my P7-1235, I worry for nothing? I think that all the supplys to look the same. What is the top of the fan page for? Or can anyone suggest a replacement perfect for my exact Pavilion model?

Sorry if the questions are stupid, but I'm still learning and want to do what I can myself!

    Hello

Yes, you can use the power supply the same way. The image is in a vertical position for the convience of the buyer. I have the same with number of power supplies and it was fine. You can check the following links people have set up exact POWER supply in different ways.

    http://pcpartpicker.com/builds/by_part/Corsair-power-supply-cx500m

    However, please be aware of your power supply size and your case. If you have all materials/components in stock for your computer, then it is what it is;

    ATX case:

    : Height 39.4 (15.55 inches)

    Width: 17.5 cm (6.89 in)

    Depth: 40.9 cm (16,14 inches)

    PSU stock:

    (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches)

    And the power supply you want;

    Corsair size;

    "5.9"x 3.4"x 6.3"

As you can see the length of the Corsair is considerably larger than your stock of power supply. This could hampor of air or could even make it so the holes of the PSU and the case does not match. However, this is usually not what worry. The height and width that should be worried because the length rarely causes problems, I wanted to just make sure that you knew in advance.

Take advantage of your power supply; Corsair is a great brand.

  • Questions about upgrading graphics card, P7-1235

I bought the P7-1235, who owns the AMD Radeon HD graphics card 7560. I read it as an integrated card, but I could add or update? The power supply is 300 Watts I think. Anyone know if I can do an update without changing the power supply? Is this useful? In addition to surfing the web and watching videos from You Tube, I have Sims games. I would like to start playing more casual games, nothing heavy.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p7-1235. You are right in saying the the HD 7560 is integrated as part of the CPU.

Almost any card PCIe x 16 graphic detail that is more powerful than the existing HD 7560 will require the upgrade of electrical power to 400 watts to 600 watts unit. Exist it HD7560 must manage the Sims without problem, You Tube and surf the web. It should also handle most games 'casual' as well but shall be moved if you throw something hardcore. Operate the system as it is and if it works for you... well, if it's not... time for a new card and power supply.

  • HP P7-1235 video

I have a P7-1235 and recently bought a Radeon HD 7850 and a new Rosewill 500 Watt PS. I'm unable to disable integrated video tho because it has no option in the BIOS, have I need to completely uninstall the existing video dashboard to have this new card to be recognized? I just get a black screen and a message stating there is no adapter connected. I have disabled the video card built into windows, but still nothing. I'm guessing there is a conflict between the edge and the map. Thanks for any idea!

There is no update of the BIOS for the motherboard.  I doubt that it would benefit you if there is a.  The responsibility to develop the VBIOS suitable for the card's manufacturer.

Looks like that Visiontek Support needs a few lessons in customer relations.  I highly recommend the XFX card.  The cards are high quality and Technical Support has always been great.

    Hello

With the help of this forum, I was able to get my computer damaged upward and running, but I had to go back to the factory settings.  Spends hours at any reloading.  I'm doing a tune up using the HPSA but find very different than I had initially used and preferred.  The original gave me the opportunity to do a Tune up, but this new, HPSA8 doesn't seem to have the option more.  Is it true or is it a bad installation?  If anyone knows if it has more function Tune Up more please let me know.  If it isn't, it is possible to uninstall and reinstall the earlier version that has it?  I use the tune up service often and would not have access to this...

  • P7-1235: helps p7-1235 video card!

Please someone help! I have a p7-1235 and I'm trying to upgrade to a video card to improve game performance. The problem I have is that I can't get a card to work. First of all, I tried XFX r9 270 x without a bit of luck, will not appear. Traded the card for XFX r7 260 x still same problem, after I went to Best Buy, which is where I got the two cards, they tried another XFX r7 260 x and it doesn't work too. They even if the MOMO couldn't handle the power draw of the map and recommended a card with less power needs. At this point, I returned the third card XFX. I bought an EVGA gtx 750ti hoping it would work. Well now, it starts and allows you to start windows screen and hangs there. Just FYI, I've updated the power supply, first got a thermaltake 650w with 43A on the rail. Since that o the help, I'm back too. Currently, I have a PSU of 500w with 31A on the rail and when all connections have been made correctly and power connectors are connected. I am at my end of witts and everyone with insite please help. I was thinking about an older chipset, i.e. HD 7850 might work, but I don't know that Best Buy can ban me for life if they see me here with another comeback. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Try this EVGA GTX 660.

  • Pavilion p7 1235 HP Recovery Manager removal

Pavilion p7 1235 Windows 7: I would like to uninstall the HP Recovery Manager and use the hard D for my data disk partition; However, the HP Recovery Manager does not appear in the list of 'remove programs' in Control Panel.  How can I remove it and keep the D partition?

    Hello

You can do it manually as follows.

    Note:

As this will remove the ability to reinstall Windows 7 from this partition, make sure first that you have your set of recovery disks in case you need to reinstall the operating system - be aware that if you use these discs to reinstall the OS, they recreated all the original partitions on the hard disk for all custom partitions and data will be lost.  This being the case, be sure to back up data that you plan to store in the D partition to an external device/support before performing a recovery.

    To format the D partition.

Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type compmgmt.msc , and then press ENTER.  Click disk management in the left pane and let readers load upward.  Right-click on the D Partition, and then select Format to start the wizard.  Windows 7 will affect a Volume label so if your happy with it, just leave the default value, which is still D.  As the Partition D has had a FAT file system, it is probably best to change it to NTFS.  Allocation unit size must be left by default.  Select the option to perform a quick format if it is not already done.  Leave all the other default settings, and then click Ok, and then Ok to start the process.

Once done, close disk management and you should see the available empty Partition D when you look under the computer.

    Kind regards

  • DV6-1235 KEYS DOES NOT HELP

    Hello

He was 1-2 weeks since I bought my dv6-1235. 2 days ago I turnt it shut down normally. Then when I came home and turnt on once again, touch buttons (toggle, increase/decrease volume, wireless power) were not working.

As I see that the colors are correct when I activate or disable the problem is that it does not get my Tush... I removed the software installed again and quick launch buttons but does not work... Also tried the version of HP web, but everything is the same...

So I would really appreciate if someone can solve this problem )

    Hi Ozan,

I looked around some more with other problems of machine dv6 and found this solution little...

    1. turn off your computer and unplug it from the socket

    2. remove the battery

    3. press the button for at least 30 seconds

    4. replace your battery power on - and it should work now.

From what I read it seems to be a temporary solution and it can happen again.  My advice is first to update your BIOS.  If my memory serves me right the dv6000 and 9000 series had a heating problem which has caused the wireless to stop working.  I do not take it in time, but updating the BIOS was intended to increase the cooling (to change the timings of fan or something) and so to stop the heating.  I think a similar problem that happens with this new range, but I can't confirm.

I hope it works for you.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p7-1235: how to upgrade my desktop PC bios HP Pavilion p7-1235 to version 8?

I am trying to install a graphics 770 GTX on my computer, but it is still stuck in the first hp screen and then everything freezes.  I did some research and saw that it could be a bios incompatibility and someone said that upgrading the bios to version 8 can solve the problem, but the update does not appear on the hp Web site.

Make sure the motherboard installed is a jasmine.

You should be able to see what your BIOS family is.

Make sure it is ROM family 2AE0...

There is a version 8 available to HP support.  The improvement is to improve the security of code UEFI.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=vc_140765_1 & swEnvOid = 4059 #tab2

Update of the BIOS can be risky. If you decide to use the ROM BIOS file, you must assume full responsibility for the result.
