P7-1534 HP pavilion desktop PC, stop and sleep problem

P7-1534 HP pavilion desktop PC, Windows 8, 64 - bit, sometimes when I turned off my PC, the PC does will not off it stays on and I have to use the power button to turn off the PC and today I put the PC to sleep and he did not wake up when I tried to wake up that I had to use the reboot of the PC power button. I did a diagnosis of memory and found no errors.

Hi dwellas

I understand that you are having problems with the computer is shut down and not being able to wake up.

You can have an application or process that runs in the background that not stop correctly. Close all applications on the status bar that you can, make sure you first close all programs, and then try again. If this works, you should see what you have installed which can be the cause of this.

  • HP Pavilion x 360: stop and sleep problems

I've updated for Windows 10 and now my computer won't shut down or sleep. In order to shut down the computer completely I have to restart my computer, and then stop. If I used my computer for more than an hour, it will not be stopped or he wake up from sleep mode. I have updated my drivers and graphics cards, as well as disabled the quick start. I checked the BIOS and there is no update available. I also ran the updates of Windows. At this point, I don't know what else to try.

    Hi @bn485,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook of 360 and problems with the Shut Down mode and sleep.  I see that if you change the balanced power plan options option in the book will help. Here is a link that will help you.

Go to your power options. Select balance, then click on change plan settings. Click on change advanced power settings. Then save changes. Restart your computer and see if the options have changed.

You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

    You can also try:

In Device Manager, click the arrow next to display adapters to expand this category
Right-click on the graph, and then select Update driver software if more than 1 graphic adapter do 1 at a time.
Select search automatically for updated driver software.

The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver
Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

  • (Still fairly new) HP Pavilion Desktop PC beeps and there is no screen

Last year I bought a 2nd Pavilion desktop computer - it came with 8 Win. I bought a second WD 1 TB HARD drive as a backup drive and installed in the machine under the Seagate HDD factory. Using my 1st PC ISO Pavilion purchased the previous year, I had OS (8 win so) and tried it migrate to the 2nd HARD drive backup white PC I installed. In this way, between two PCs, I would have 3 1 TB HDD with a Windows 8 operating system. However, when you install Windows on this backup disk, I lost screen 100% function as if it weren't even plugged in the Vid card and after re-booting, I get 6 beeps, no screen, but the PC seems to work all along. I can't of course in the bios with no operation screen to check what I have changed inadverdantly by introducing a copy of an OS on a 2nd drive. If anyone can help?

You have a real dilemma.  The fact that you don't have VGA is not a good thing, in this case.  I can hardly believe that you fried the PCIE slot.  I put most of my money on the BIOS.  However, more strange things happened.  I wish I could come up with a magic solution, but at this point, I am not sure of the result.

One last thought.  When everything has failed, clear the CMOS.  I saw one step to solve many problems.  I don't have much hope in this case, however.

Solved the mystery - everything under the Sun EXCEPT tried without clogging the cable of data to the HARD drive, then plug again WHILE the PC was still power up - got instantly on screen, and windows runs perfect - go figure, right?

want to thank you for trying to help - we appreciate it!

  • HP pavilion DV6 1030us stop and restart spontaneously

I bought a HP pavilion DV6 1030us in June 2009, and the Bios has been updated to the latest F24A.

However, during the laptop running, it will be sunddenly stop stop and try again.

This unexpected shutdown just looks like all of a sudden power loss and happens at random, at least, I can't find a rule.

For most cases, this closure comes without blue screen, and it is independent of the operating system.  I tried to install windows 7 64 bit, windows 7 32-bit, vista 64 bit, xp 32-bit, all OS such a problem.

I don't know if other users with this template has such a problem. I got tired of what I do, still can not solve the problem.

I suspect that the Bios has a problem. I hope that HP will release a new very soon.

BTW, if I update the BIOS, it erases the old BIOS completely first, then write in the new?

    Thanks for your attention!

    Hi guys,.

During the Christmas holidays, I did real progress to find the cause of the problem of restart suddenly.

I am so anxious to share my experience with you all.

As I mentioned before, when the first time I sent my laptop for repair, they replaced the hard drive, and nothing improved.

And the second time, I asked to replace the motherboard.

Unexpected, the reboot problem remains after changes to the motheboard, I've been very frustrated by such a result, I even thought that maybe this laptop is never fixed.

Then I started to search the Internet once again and a few posts point to the power supply and one point in the strip of memory, but memory defective barrette syndrome is different. And if my memory went all kind of test without any error, including windows memory diagnostic tool, memtest86 + 4.00 and the diagnostic tool memory in the bios setting.

in such a situation, I doubt that the power supply has a defect. but I can do nothing with it. I think maybe I make a memory module to avoid the will of power help (I have 2 * 2 GB memory module).

Unexpected, after that I got a good memory, restart occurred more frequently.

Then I suddenly realize if this memory module has problem, so I took it and put in another. and with the 2nd memory module, the problem of restart never happens so far.

To confirm this, I repeated this experience (I'm a sicentist in biology, I know that to reach a conclusion, the result must be reproducible). And this is the case, restart happened frequently with the first memory module and never happens with the 2nd memory module.

now, I should mention that this module model memory is: MT16HTF25664HY - 800 1. Then, do not lack of HP.

So if you suddenly have the reboot problem and if you do not find the reason, and even if your memory module has passed the test, you should try to replace it to see what happens.

If this post helps you solve your problem, pls post your result here to help more people in despair with such a problem.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 6120sb early and watch problem

My computer HP pavilion dv6 6120sb laptop has a few problems:
Sometimes when I push the power button it looks completely dead and I mean no response, no lights, no noise, nothing.
I always have this problem when I just have it turned off.
So when I wait for a while (from 2 to 20 minutes) it works again.
But this isn't the only problem, when the screen turns off automatically it turns over when I move the mouse.
And I can't get him out of sleep with an external mouse (own keyboard not responding any more) and no screen after waking up, but I hear it's there by a few windows sounds.
Since I am a computer scientist, I totally disassembled the laptop 2 days ago and the problem has been resolved! Until today
I removed the battery, pushed the power button for 20 years and even flashed the BIOS again by an official tool from HP but nothing resolved.
My opinion is that there is a problem with the sensor cover (what seems to be a magnetic mechanism) or the card supply, but how can I solve it?
PS: laptop is 2 weeks out of warranty and I really need it for school!

Thanks to all who tried to help me.

I solved the problem of deleting a component and making a bridge between the 2 contacts.

As I thought it was the sensor cover on the power supply Board which is known as SW3.

I measured all contacts of the component, and then the CRS gave me 3.3V, Out was only 1.1V (without a magnet).

When a magnet was near him, has given to 0V.

So I deleted the component and filled the will of the VCC. Now, I don't have any sensor cover more (I don't like on this subject) but my laptop working again as it should be.

Contact me if you want more information.

(The photo was taken before that I deleted SW3 and filled the 2 contacts on the left)

    Hi Willie,

    ·         What happens when you try to install Windows?

    ·         You have made any changes recently?

Method 1: Disconnect non-essential external devices and see if you can start very well.

Method 2: If you are unable to boot in any mode follow the steps in this article and see if it helps.

How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup

Check the boot priority in the BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) and make sure that the CD/DVD drive is the first boot device.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager stops and does not sync

Hello, I just got my new BlackBerry Storm and I installed the software on my laptop running Vista Home.  The software loaded properly, the icon is on the desktop, but when I use the USB cable and open the Desktop Manager, then I click on synchronize and I get an error.  There is no error number, it just says: unknown error reported

How can I get my mobile calendar and Notes to synchronize with my Blackberry Storm?

    Thank you

    Bill

Well, I broke down and called Bell Mobility.  They had me up and running in a few minutes.  I guess I would have called them first, but history with Bell Mobility Technical Support... Well I only use as a last resort.

in any case, the fix for this problem is to go into your control panel / user accounts / turn user account or disable / and then make sure that the box is NOT checked where it says use User Account Control to help protect your computer.

My box has a check mark, so when I removed, then returned to the BBDM I was then able to synchronize my data between the Storm and my laptop.

Thanks to those who helped, now we know what to do if someone else comes in the Forum with the same problem.

  • HP Pavilion boot fan stop 1154sa g6-problem

So I'm having a problem with my Pavilion G6 1154sa. The cooling fan seems to be playing it just started, the high efficiency of speed and barely making a noise before cutting again, it does until finally the laptop overheats and shuts down, which gives the error message on loadup, that there is a problem with the fan. So, I tried to take part my laptop and cleaning on the openings of ventilation and inside the turbine, which I did, and reassembling it and still no change. Will it get a new fan? My warranty is exceeded so get it fixed is not a viable option for me, not a cheap option at least.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will need a new cooling fan. HP part number is 639460-001.

    Please try:

There is a way to maintain the USB active ports during the eve.  Simply go into Device Manager, navigate down to Bus USB controllers.  On each element of the USB root hub, then right-click and choose Properties.  Click the power management tab, and uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

  • P7 - 1126 s WIN8 upgrade worked fine until I got clean install. Now stop and sleep do not work.

I have a P7 - 1126 s running win7 Premium 64-bit and when I've upgraded to windows 8 that everything was working properly. I installed a second monitor without problem. After testing the monitors were operating properly, I shut down the PC to remove the old monitor and when I remved the second monitor and powered on the system. It allowed to to start the system and got stuck on a web page (to detect the Proxy settings) I let it sit for about 30 minutes and forced to withdraw.

When I rebooted nothing worked. I tried refreshing the PC and rebuild MBR etc... Nothing has worked. MS suggested the clean install. The installation restarts would freeze and I had to manually stop to complete installation.

The short of it is... Can not stop or put to sleep. What stops the system will power down, but Fans and light PCs remain on. I have to always force shut off. MS works with me, but no luck so far. All drivers have been updated. Several upgrades and reinstalls.

Why everything worked properly when win7 has been upgraded, but not when win8 was clean installed?

BIOS FRIEND 7.07, 16/08/2011 8 GB Ram 1 TB HARD drive

After further investigation, I learned that some drivers Win8 and HP are not compatible. Once update drivers out of HP, then the new facility should be good.

I rebooted Win7 and then Win8 and everything is great!

  • Error ' ' system timer was triggered "and hibernation / sleep problem.

Original title: Hibernation and sleep problem?

I bought a new laptop of Toshiba C55 series probably a little a month ago and for a while, it was fine, I had no problem. I had some mistakes with what is called a bad pool header, I've not experienced this once again. My main problem is with the sleep and hibernation. I went and disabled any parameter that would be extended automatically to my computer after a short period of time. It is set at only hibernate after like five hours, I'm never away from him that long. I don't want it to hibernate unless I put it specifically put into hibernation. I heard talking about hibernation is hard on your computer. I am usually only away from him for a couple of hours, so it's easier to have it in sleep so I can come back and get the right to return to work or what I was doing. I put it in mode 'sleep' whenever I need to go away for a few hours, for some time, I had no problem, he would go to the mode standby and stay there until I woke it. My problem is that most of the time when I put it in fashion watches, it goes to the hibernate after only a few minutes. WHY would he do that? And how can I stop it? There are times that I put him to sleep and he done as it should. Most of the time, but it goes to the hibernate after a few minutes. I don't want to make this period. Is there a setting I'm missing, I have conflicting settings on something? What is a small problem with Windows 8, or with my computer itself? The last thing I want to do is to restore it to factory settings and lost all the things that I have saved and have to reinstall my programs again.

There is also something else showing in my event viewer I've ever seen before. That means when he says "system timer was triggered." And can someone tell me what means the bad pool header error and how to fix it?

I found a solution, I noticed when I Hibernate the computer at night to go to bed is when it remains not in mode 'sleep'. I stopped it in hibernation at all now and it says in the mode "sleep" very well.
