  I've had my MacBook for about 5 years now and I have an insane amount of Photos stored for the past 14 years, but during that time, my library of Photos being scenes has become a bit of a mess. (I think)

• Where can I find a standalone installation package, and not the current upgrade stub?

  My home connection is dial-up and to download an 'upgrade' of 40 MB solution would take about 2 hours. I use a public computer with free broadband to download the installation packages of all the software that I use. I can record these packets to a flash drive to take home to work on my computer.   I keep getting intrusive ads on the browser which I believe are due to downloaded software that includes JumpFlip, Aff packages and DocTo TXTConvert. I can't get rid of these programs to uninstall by using the control panel.

  You can have an unwanted extension that injects ads. Try this:

  Disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on page modules. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off. (Or if it's obviously bad, try to remove.)

  Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
