  A Thread is not an Application.  Threads always run in the background.  When you ask in the foreground, your application moves to the foreground.  When you ask background, your Application moves to the back.  This seems to be what you want, so what had coded you before was the right thing to do.

  When you call super.close () on a screen, if the screen is the last on the stack, that will close the Application, which will close all Threads.

  That said, the way in which open pop-ups depends on the settings of the browser of the visitor to your site.  For some, it may open in a new tab.  For others in a new window.  It is usually best to keep important information on the page of the main site where everyone will see it.

  Pop-up in Dreamweaver:

• ReaderCEF - Win10 birthday - CPU hog, wait until the cursor in other applications

  Since then on the anniversary update for win 10 Pro on My Book of Surface with screen seriously scaling, the reader has been a problem. Monitor performance status bar icons show about 50% of each processor in use, and the heat speed fan and screen confirm at least that much. App resource monitor says he uses about 12% CPU, but it uses so it takes more than a minute ResMon to fill all the information at all. The task manager says more than 30%.
