Paper sizes custom 3520 - still no Solution

My product is the 3520. Operating system is Windows Vista.

I searched these forums on these terms: 3520 paper sizes custom

It seems that the solution is to try a different print driver. I followed the link to this solution, which directs me to click the Start button, click Printers, and then properties and then on the Advanced tab where I'm supposed to select 'new pilot.'

But, the Advanced Settings tab is completely grayed out - nothing ' cept a ghostly version of what is there for other people (I guess).

I'm finally at a dead end? Is - draw can recommend a work around for this?

I can designate a custom size in Open Office for the paper, but I also need to designate this size even in the choice of 3520 paper. In my case, the paper, I would like to use only is not in the list (Yes, I checked the sizes of all the options). And there is no option 'Custom size' available.

Impasse I am, for now. Suggestions (other than buying another printer)?

DJ 450 driver is already installed as part of the o/s.

In the 3520 print properties which is displayed in the Ports option.

There are to many other 'create your own' card sizes.

Question: How do you define your own size requierments?

    Hey @driverman,

I understand that since the relocation of your Windows operating system 8 you are no longer able to modify your e-all-in-one printer driver HP Deskjet 3520 to allow custom prints. I want to help you with this today. It is strange that the Deskjet 9800 is not in the list of drivers, because it is a pre-installed driver built into your Windows operating system. That being said, I'll make you try another replacement driver.

    1. Open the screen to Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen, or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the left of the 'Ctrl' key
    2. In the start screen, type "devices and printers".
    3. If the option devices and printers fill automatically, click settings at the top right and click then on devices and printers.
    4. In the devices and printers folder right click on your Deskjet 3520 and left click on printer properties
    5. Left click on the Advanced tab
    6. Left-click on new driver
    7. When the new driver window just press 'Next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
    8. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    9. DeskJet 6980 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 6980 does not appear select "Windows Update" on the lower left. Once the update is completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 6980.
    10. After selecting Deskjet 6980 hit Next to complete the wizard driver new
    11. Under the printer properties window, select "Apply", but don't hit not OK
    12. Select the general tab
    13. Rename your HP Deskjet 3520 printer
    14. Click OK
    15. Finally, right click on your Deskjet 3520 one more time and click on Printing Preferences
    16. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    17. Left click on the drop down menu of 'Normal' for the quality of printing on the bottom right and change its normal fast
    18. Press apply and OK

Now that the other driver has been loaded successfully please test print in order to confirm if the problem is resolved.

    Here is what happened:

    2. I did everything up to step 5 (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03890386), BUT THEN I discovered my custom paper size No IS NOT SHOW ON THE DESTINATION TRAY? (see photo below). WHY IS IT?

The strange thing is... it DOESNT SHOW UP in the paper handling, but it appears on Page Setup > paper size (see below for reference). Or is it not the same?

    Hi @cfransisca,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Do you get errors when you check and repair disk permissions?

If so, I'll keep repair disk permissions until it corrects all errors.

    Apple updates are up-to-date?

Step 3: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

You use an external HARD drive?

I would have suggested to search through these discussions for a possible solution. Please use your own discretion. Otherwise, I suggest you contact Apple.

  • M651dn: with manual duplex printing only the paper size custom

    Hello

I have a strange problem with several HP printers in my office (cp4525dn, 401dne, M651dn).

Automatic duplex printing works as usual if I use plain paper A4 format.

But when I use a custom paper size (21 x 21 cm), then the 'duplex manual' appears on the screen with the information I need to deliver the document again.

It's strange. -That someone has an idea if this could be a bug or it's 'normal '. But automatic duplex should work too much here, I think. What you mean?

It makes no difference if or USB-connected to the local network. I also tried different drivers, without success.

    Thank you very much

    Daniel

According to the manual the User Guide Laserjet Pro 400 M401 , automatic duplex printing is not supported for custom paper sizes.

It goes the same for my printer LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M475dn .

I guess the same applies also to CP4525dn and M651dn models.

  • Odd paper size does not print on B8550

    Hi all

I have seen this issue before, but the answers don't seem to work for me, so let's try again:

I'm on a Power PC Mac dual G5, OS 10.5.8, connected to a Photosmart B8550 via USB. I'm in Photoshop CS4, I'm trying to print on a paper 12 x 15 for which I have a paper size custom, implemented and registered. I try to print to the paper size, and I get a message that says: paper size or type does not match the paper size and type in the in tray.

The really weird thing is, it worked a few minutes ago, and I do exactly the same thing now. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    Peg

No, thanks to HP, I found the solution. The paper type must be HP Advanced Photo paper, and I can print what I want, to any size I want, no matter what program I want.

Hey, HP, do you think you could indicate this to your support the so-called people?

  • Paper size HP OfficeJet 7500 has large Format - custom printing

I am a collector of stamps and create all my own scrapbook pages.  I use the white pages of a well-known stamp album manufacturer (lighthouse, Germany).  The pages are 10.625 "x 11.7".  How can I set up my printer to print correctly on them?  I don't see any option for custom paper, even if your listing online says that he accepts custom formats.  What should I do?

    Thank you

    Lloyd Thrower

I found a solution.  The height of my pages are the same as the width of A3 pages.  So I have 1) used for the adjustment of the A3, 2) turned the page in landscape mode and 3) only used the 10,625 left inches of the page.  It prints perfectly.

What I learned from this is to think a bit off the beaten path.  If the paper size is not supported, find one that is, which can be changed.  It must be greater than what you use - but not too big or you end up with too much adjustment.

  • Custom with iPF 8400 paper size problem

I created a custom paper size of 11 x 14 inches for my new IPI 8400. My file is 11 x 14 size and print perfectly on my Pro 100, but when I send it to the 8400 it cut a full inch of my image, send me 3 normal small borders and a big. I tried to re-sizing of the image to 10.75 x 13.75 inches, and it still cuts a full inch of the image. Verification of image on the main page does not change, nor is the page. • HP OfficeJet 8600 and Custom paper sizes

I have a HP OfficeJet 8600 for 2 years now, and I've never had a problem with it until today.

I bought a few cards with inserts that I can print on, however, because it is a custom size, I can't print on it. The printer has no option to set a custom paper size.

So, I do the obvious thing and Google a solution. The firmware update I read... no luck. The update utility can't find my printer on the network even if I print it to 3 different computers, and I can browse his IP in Chrome and check the Web page.

Try a different driver (Win 64-bit 8.1)... the steps that I follow do not work, and when I get them to work, there is nothing different.

I tried to do on my MacBook Pro too, but I can not do anything there either.

Totally ridiculous, which releases a product with this MASSIVE floor!

I am very angry that now I have to put it back write more than 100 of these cards

So I found out how to check the updates of the printer itself, and I have updated firmware, so that rules out.

I just replaced my Officejet Pro 8500 with a 8600.  I NEED to print on paper that is 4.88 "x 8.25".  How can I get the printer to accept this paper?  I use Word 2010 and that you set the paper size in Word, but the printer indicates the paper size does not match.

  • custom paper sizes missing 8610

I've created some custom paper sizes that are available under a pdf printer but not my hp printer

    Hello

On 8 x 4 in, you earn a 4 inches in width or length?

Be aware that a length of 4-inch is not supported by the hardware (5.0 to 14.0 inches) and so not to appear, if this is the problem in fact just change between the height and width settings for the shape and orientation of the paper...

  • How can I create custom with the Photosmart 6510 printers paper sizes

I want to use paper sizes personalized with Word or Photoshop.

    I have a Photosmart 6510 printer all-in-one.

While I can find the custom size tab layout in Word and can set this size, I don't seem to be able give the new size a name or save it.

Is it possible with this printer, or is there a workaround to avoid the message 'paper mismatch '.

Thanks for the ay help I can get.

I'm sorry not to come back earlier.  I stumbled across a work around for this problem.  Use a different print driver for the printer.  I'll link the instructions below.  Again, sorry I don't come back with the workaround as soon as possible.

  • custom paper size Photosmart 7525

Is it possible to add a custom for the 7525 printer paper size? Paper format (5.5 "x7.75") does not appear on the drop-down list and the list does not show a custom paper.

    Hello

The printer does support some dimensions that come as default printers. Unfortunately, you can not customize the paper size.

  • HP 9500 win 7 custom paper size tray 1

I have 12 x 18 paper loaded in Tray 1.  The control panel is correctly set.  Our office has a mixture of windows and Mac and have always been able to print on paper 12 x 18, in the #1 tray.  I recently bought a new computer running Win 7 64 bit.  The driver "HP Color LaserJet 9500 PCL 6" of windows does not support custom paper sizes.  I tried to create forms under the print server properties, but custom sizes do not appear when I'm in my applications.  5 PCL and PCL 6 UPD pilots paper 12 x 18 in option, but when I use these drivers of the printer fails to pull the good paper from Tray 1.  With Acrobat, it defaults to 8-1/2 x 11 paper and prints a second sheet indicating:

    PCL XL error

    Subsystem: VECTOR

    WARNING: IllegalMediaSize

With AutoCad, using the UPD and printing on paper 12 x 18, control panels flashes and asks me to load the A3 paper into Tray #1.  Change the size of the margin in my application doesn't seem to help.

I'm an architect and paper 12 x 18 is essential.  Thanks in advance.

After exhausting any permutation of the driver options, I reluctantly installed the PostScript of the UPD driver.  Problem solved!  Printing on paper 12 x 18 in Tray 1 works perfectly.  There is clearly a problem with the UPD PCL5 and PCL6 drivers.
