  • What registry Paretologic DriverCure values change?

I have a laptop in my house that has changed hands several times and at some point ended up with this software in this regard. I just want to remove all trace of it from the computer. It has its own file uninstall.exe, but I do not trust the police itself, especially since the dialog box opens with a 'Get it FREE!' option and I know the utility of add/remove programs in the control panel is not 100% reliable to remove the odd registry values.

For now, I deleted the executables and he ceased to run at startup. Now I'm looking to find all the registry values it is changed and back them to what they were before. Someone at - it a list of values that this program change? In addition, in the future, how could I find myself these values?

    -Cheers

Remove the "executable files" was a horrible idea!

At this point, you may need to reinstall the program (Yes, I said reinstall!) and then uninstall it the right way, using (drum roll) Add / Remove programs. You shouldn't need to worry registry leftovers because they are of no consequence (if they exist).

  • ERROR 105/net: ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED - Service is not found

Well, I have bad news and good news.

Your last suggestions do not solve the problem. But, the good news is at the bottom of this page link was an ad for an automatic update of the pilots of the machine. Now, we both heard of such programs, perhaps using them. Me, I used free for aps from CNET. But this showed precisely drivers. That interested me. So I downloaded and purchased. Or them! There are two programs. Good, my thoughts away. An old man is allowed only.

In any case, I had checked on updates for the network drivers before over this issue of no wireless connection. Whenever I tried with no positive results. Meaning no updates were needed. But this time, thank you Lord!, this Paretologic DriverCure worked. It took a few tries determined, but on the second attempt, it seems us have overcome! I didn't have cable Ethernet is plugged in, and when I rebooted the glory it is automatically connected to the Net... Wireless. If that's a Word.

Oddly enough my friend, at this moment in time, I had not deleted the Setup free DNS numbers, is what is used to connect to the Net. So in a sense 'your' work on that works, if you get my drift. It was your entry for the right exit!

Another really curious thing is, in the email this morning I finally received a response of Qwest (ISP) about this same problem. God knows that the number of days that is. For your edification and knowledge I'm copying below what they recommend. I won't use this now, but keep it in reserve for later. But hope that I never have this problem again.

My sincere thanks for all the work you have done. It is sincerely appreciated.

This is the message of Qwest...

    Hello jenvint

Search in msconfig and remove the control from it

    Start/run and type

    Msconfig

    Ok

    Startup tab

Keep the page open then click on the link below. It will tell you what are all the entries and see if you can disable them or not. It will also identify malicious programs.  Turn off everything that is not necessary to run at startup

  • Message from DriverCure

I have Window XP Professional version 2002, Service Pack 3 on my computer. Whenever I restart my computer, I get an error message "DriverCure"  She says it is a "erreur error installation, please reinstall the application.  Problem is that I don't know which application the error message is referring to so it can be recharged.

    Hi Annie Clement.

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

Make sure that DriverCure is installed on the computer, if you find it and want to delete using Add/Remove Program uninstall from the computer.

How to change or remove a program in Windows XP

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307895

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
