Part mysterious printer

I use a HP Photosmart (all-in-One) 5512, model B111a. It works fine except experience a paper jam now and again. Tonight, when I removed the crumpled paper, I found a loose plastic in the bottom part. I checked for broken edges, messages, pins, pegs... Everything seems very smooth and tact. I continued my print job with the breath which is held. He did very well.

From the start, I realize it is a hardware problem, and I called Technical Support. Basically he told me (and I freely translate here) "if it ain't broke...". "You know the rest. It is not broken, just disconnected.

Is it possible to scan and send a picture of the errant part?

Thanks for any help. I'm afraid the missing part may cause problems if not back in place.

Hi Barbershopper

This is part of the hinge mechanism that attaches to the door (when you open the printer to replace the cartridges). It might be difficult, but you should be able to hang back, take a look at the photos below...

No hassle, let me know

  • Last update of Firefox 28.0 would have removed the part my printer HP scanner?

I have not used my scanner on my HP printer/copier/scanner for a few weeks. Since then, I've had the latest updates of downloaded Microsoft and a new version of Firefox 28.0 thus put on it.
The printer/copier part works very well so far. But when I went to open the HP Solution Center where you learn and make your scans of I get a Windows Installer box popping up and it seems that it is trying to find something. Then he said: component trying to use is on a cd-rom or other removable disk that is not available. Then, a status box appears saying status insert the diskette and click OK. Then, something else pops up saying installation package for the product status is not found. Try using a valid copy of the installation package status.msi. Of course, between everything he had a function to browse my computer pop up and I'm not irritable. I know my way around a certain degree and updated plug-ins but not such things. My cousin said it would come down to watch, but I don't know when that will be. I was wondering if this has happened to someone else. Funny, is that I just found out that I can still browse my control using the analysis wizard panel. If my computer is grateful the scanner to a certain extent. And even in the HP Solution Center I get to scan market. Problem is once these boxes pop up, I can't shut down my computer in the usual way. You push in my Start button. Also, what is strange, it is manually update my Firefox and sometimes I'll see where it checks for compatibility and will tell me when something doesn't work with this new update. This time, I don't see anything. So maybe it wasn't Firefox. Oh I uninstall a program that had been on my computer for centuries, when he gave me but my cousin said that did nothing. It was more Microsoft Photo Story 2 THE. I think it's for the people who put things/camera on their computer to use. Any thoughts on what happened? Thank you!

No, installation and update of Firefox do not affect other software on your computer. Download and install the drivers and related software for your device from the manufacturer's website.

Unfortunately, I spent much more time that this printer is worth trying to run so I am with regard to the experts.

I have a HP Officejet Pro N911n of 8600 installed as a shared printer on the Standard Win2008R2, trying to run on a box of Win7 Pro. Initially, it would only print characters scrambled on the top line and will be continually. I searched through the advice and have not found a solution that will help. I have reset printer back to the default settings, settings reconfigured network and he has been able to print from some points, but not the others. example: works of Adobe Reader, but not from Outlook 2010.

I tried all the options Proccesor and several other drivers including Universal, I connected TCP/IP directly from Win7, tried XP.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

I noticed that you have tried things and different drivers. A suggestion, I would add would try all software uninstall and reinstallation.

Another driver, you can try to download to help would be a pilot 990c
    1. click on Start Menu
    2. click on devices and printers
    3. Add a printer
    4. Add a LOCAL printer
    5. choose the port existing (the port that the printer is connected too)
    6. choose (HP), right column, click HP DeskJet 990c, if it is not listed, update windows CLICKL, then try to find him after it updates.

Let me know if this can help, thank you.

  • My Officejet 4620 do not print black ink

I replaced the black cartridge on my Officejet 4620 with a new high-capacity HP cartridge and it won't print black ink on the test page, any application or function of Copier.  I have reset the printer nothing helps.  The ink level indicates that it recognizes the new cartridge and says it's full.  Black ink out of the cartridge when I put my finger against the exit hole.  I cleaned and aligned the print heads, but still no go.

just in case someone else has this problem, heres whats really past and heres how to fix this annoying problem. its relatively easy to do and more efficient than wasting money on a new printer or have that he repaired as most people eventually do.

going on what? the ink has clogged print heads and solidifies closed. the function of "clean print heads" the printer comes with doesn't have the ability to solve this problem. This feature is to clean the heads Sales, not clogged heads. Why hp decided to make this model without a simple to remove the cradle is beyond me, but fortunately the cradle out and can be cleaned with hot water.

theres a few items, you will need to get there easily, or you could just burst the branch loppers, like I did and vent your frustrations.

you will need: a pair of slender beak pliers, a screwdriver torx T9 (selling auto parts stores them for a few dollars), paper towels and a space for work (its easier to do this in a corner of a room, on a small table or floor).  Keep in mind that you are dealing with ink, then change your clothes right just in case and also catch a paper plate or a few sheets of paper to print to set ink cartridges while you work.

    (1) ok. lets start. !!! FIRST UNPLUG THE PRINTER RIGHT NOW, IF YOU DO NOT ACCIDENTALLY DIE BY ELECTROCUTION!  I forgot and when I started unscrewing the first 6 screws, kept chime jump and im like * beep *? I was impressed by the security measures hp took as model engineering.

    (2) the printer is now disconnected and then go to your corner your work surface and place the printer, so there is a wall or a barrier on the left, and also, a wall or a fence behind it. This just in front of her as if you were about to use it.

    (3) now, what you have to do, is to open the printer as you will change the ink and on the right side, there is a plastic guide that prevents opening all the way to the top. Look on the side and you'll notice that he could jump off with fingers. pop off and open it completely open, so you can get to the screws of the cover you would have prevented access to.

    (4) press the scanner part and the upper part against the back wall.

    (5) all the screws you will be remove are the size T9H torx screws. There are ten total. There are 2 black screws in the top of the forehead and then 4 black screws in the top of the back. Remove them and put them on your paper plate.

    (6) following is 1 screw silver short located under the Control Panel, use your finger and feel under the * button. Unscrew, place it on the paper plate.

    (7) depending on whether you want to remove the face/Control Panel to get in the last 3 screws so locate the illustrations on the top of the printer, there are 2 on the lower left and 5 at the bottom right (1 and 2 on the left explain removals of paper jam and 1-5 on the right then explain change in ink cartridges). then about half an inch South of the illustration of the number 5 on the lip, is a plastic stand. six inches to the left is an another then 6 inches to the left, under the number of the illustration 2 (remove the paper jam) is a third support. Unscrew using your nails. Flip it up just like the hood of the car, and eten on the main top of the printer, keep the flat wire which is connected to the frame of the control panel (if the flat wire jumped because you got too loud, then simply insert it in when you go back).

    (8) then unscrew the 3 long silver screws that are located under the Panel you just popped off the coast. There is 1 on the left and 2 on the side rightish. mix 'em on the paper plate.

    (9) now that all the screws are removed, take the Panel front and partially pop it back together.

    (10) then take all over (the part with the small illustrations and lift like a hood of car, ONLY THIS TIME OPEN IT LEFT and he balanced on the edge of the printer, to lean over towards the wall or an obstacle on your left.) MAKE SURE NOT TO PULL ON THE STRIP OF COLORFUL SON FRUITS LEFT AND ALSO THE FLAT BLACK WIRE CONNECTING PART SCANNING FOR THE MAIN OF THE PRINTER PART.

    (11) then take the pliers to tapered spout and remove the 2 silver tension springs located behind the printer cartridges. Pay attention to where they were attached so you remember where they go during the Assembly. take a picture with your phone if you have to, or simply re - understand it like I did. mix 'em on the paper plate.

    (12) then disconnect the 2 large flat wire and 1 small flatwire attached to the back of the ink cart. take a picture or can remember like I did. I guess bad things can happen if you reverse the on re-Assembly. Pick up the phone and take a picture of quik to be sure.

    (13) now remove the cart ink, cartridges and all, by lifting the front first.  Be careful of the transparent tape little there that moves the carriage from left to right and vice versa. you don't want to damage this little guy. now take the transport to your paper plate. not some ink or accidentally get it on your fingers without knowing or will make a mess.

    (14) remove the ink cartridges and put them on the paper plate, side ink to avoid a mess, these things sometimes drip. put the plate side. its time to clean the print heads.

    (15) then go to the sink, to the distribution of empty ink and turn on the hot water and then let the transport of empty ink sitting there with the water mainly through the clogged color screen (inspect and make you is not a small rubber seal surrounding the small screen, if there is do not waste it. I didn't look too closely and I don't think that hp has them but I have a few other printers). It will stain the sink but water ink he comes out to be sure. notice there is also a small circuit attached to it. don't bang it upward but getting wet does not matter.

    (16) continue to do this until the water is clear.

    (17) then use your finger and rub the screen gently with your finger and then rinse it, taking ink until the water is clear. This continues until there is no more ink and screens are clean. do it for all the colors just for good measures. the color of problem that would not print, you'll notice takes longer to clean than the other colors.

    (18) now look on the lower side of the transport. these strange looking things are the leaders. Rinse in hot water and dry them with paper towels. then flip it over and the breath on the side of the screen again. also between the screenside and heads (on the side of the transport) is an opening which is also probably gunked up. It blows with water too. Then, turn it over and wipe the head again. Repeat this step until no fades or until you are sick and tired.

    (19) shake, then use paper towels to dry the entire unit. Make sure that the device is dry.  especially inside the female plugs. blow inside or out dry hair and dry gently. do not stand there and melt the but with the blow dryer. but the sooner it dries less your ink cartridges, sitting on the paper plate will dry out. the custom of the ink dry quickly just do not take a NAP or go on a date until you're back with part of the ink.

    (20) now you have finished cleaning the heads and probably don't need to do it again for the length of time, it was because you bought the printer. and just as a roadtrip you used a map to navigate, you will use these instructions in reverse for reassembly. but keep in mind when re - insert the 3 flatwires that you disconnected from the back of the ink cart, make sure you that have small metal contact on the flatwires points (side male) inserted so they affect small metal contact points on the caps of transport (feminine) side. ALSO BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE BLACK FLATWIRE CONNECTING THE SCANNER PART PART HAND PRINTER. THERE IS A SMALL GROOVE IN THE PLASTIC WHERE IT CAN SIT TO GUARANTEE NO CRIMPAGE. USE IT. also make sure that the 2 hinges to the scanner portion/cover are placed correctly before the fixing of the top with the 6 black screws.

now raise the printer and reinstall the ink cartridges. then plug in the appliance and turn it on.  If you get notifications on the control panel telling the custom of transport move, then open the trunk and remove the ink cartridges, hustles and ensure that transport is installed and that the tensioner springs are in place correctly. Repeat the operation if necessary until notifications go away or just do a test print and do not take into account the notification if you messed with it a few times already. That's what happened to me and the notification went his own. Once its online, open the hp utility and press the button "clean the heads. do 2 x in a row and you will be in style, with colors extremely rich and "BOLD" and Yes, printed black raven.

    p. s.

You can always take your aggression out with tree limb loppers or Tin shears like I did and cut the plastic Center keeps you to transport directly outside. Completely eliminates the disassembly and reassembly. Make sure you DO NOT CUT THE TRANSPARENT TAPE THAT MOVES BACK AND FORTH TRANSPORT. This way the next time it happens it takes you only 10 minutes before you are upward and printing.

    Enjoy!  -Porf

  • T120: T120 how to print a picture .tiff to scale and filt 24 "width of the roll?

I installed my new T120 today and tried to print a 24 "x 96" displays without success.

The images have been scanned on 12 "x 48" and when I get their approval to the store they would resize 200%. "  I have not been able to print a full poster and lose just paper trying to figure out.

I used the Print Options to change the page size of 24 "x 96" and also tried the automatic rotation of the width of the roll.  I changed the page layout in Portrait manually and also, which did not help.  I tried "to adjust the picture to the frame" checked and unchecked.

Until now, when I do what I think changes are suitable for settings, I managed to print: a mini-print (width 2.5 "), a small printing (4" wide), an average print (8 "width), an extreme close which is correct in the width, but only the central part of printing, or a large roll of white paper.

I do not currently have an Adobe product and just trying to print from original .tiff analysis

In all of drivers for the page size than the size of your page for the image I think that 12 "x 48", then in the set page/exit tab and in the resizing box select apt to roll or A1 or 200%

  • HP Laser Jet Pro M251 nw: HP Laser Jet Pro M251 nw do not print Green

I use a HP Laser Jet Pro M251 with Mac OS more recent Sierra 10.12. I tried to print a document in color from Excel and others a good percentage of the document should be printed in green. Instead of green, a very light, in some cases the struggles of the naked eye to see light YTYPE prints instead of GREEN. I then ran a test of the printer color page of the utility application of HP and there is no green anywhere on the page.

All of my cartridges are 80% full or higher and I use the same newspaper, I am using since I bought the printer a few years ago. Indeed, nothing in my usual routine (for example all consumables and accessories) has changed. So, for the most part, my printer is not good for color printing.

If anyone has had this problem and, more importantly, knows how to fix? I don't want to buy a new printer, but if I do, and if this problem is not easily corrected, I will not buy another HP. I'll check Consumer Reports to get advice on a new laser printer. I really liked this good printer and have, until today, thought it was an absolutely fantastic printer.

Please help if you can. Thank you for your useful answers.

Just a tip, I discovered the problem. It turns out that the Cyan cartridge was not good.

  • Designjet 5500 does not print a color (Magenta), head scratcher

Hello all and thanks in advance. I'll try to be brief with my problem. I was wondering if anyone of you advanced users have experienced this problem and if I am wrong in my assumptions: granted Designjet 5500, work status unknown, for my personal use (mainly CAD). Replace the belt, system of tube of ink, cartridges and printheads (belt was shot, the ink tube sank cyan) system started successfully with print heads of installation showing all 6 colors of ink. Ran diagnostic impression. Magenta is totally absent in prints of Diagnostics 1 and 5. Not even a trace of color. I tried the calibration and fails with the error 6009, understandable. tubes of ink to the transport still show all 6 colors. printer initializes generally very good, with all the list OK print heads (because they are all new!). But sometimes throws an error 0032 00000004 0c fall detector, but not always. Fall sensor cleaned. My thought is that the Magenta Printhead is about shooting. Given that all the tubes of ink and no ink bubble comes OK. The fact that she sometimes error 0c 0032, but sometimes not, said that the printhead magenta must be fired sometimes at startup. So, I intend to replace the rear cart cables as the next logical step. Notice please! Thank you! Ray

The first you see, it's actually the flowing magenta printhead ink. Take a damp paper towel, then press the printhead magenta in the towel and you should get two lines of ink. If you need a comparison, take the black and do the same thing. If you don't get two complete lines, then you can try to soak the print head in warm water (the temp) for about 2 minutes and pat dry with paper towels. Most of the time you can tell right away because when you place a print head in hot water should flow little ink and water take on the colour of the print head. Also make sure that it is not the magenta head light print and magenta. My feeling is that if you have a problem of thin cable you get an error message since the main Board check electrical connections to the print head during initialization, and when printing. Since you are not getting a failure than this message means electrically the printhead and the connections that are very well and this is the part of print head that is clogged or not working do not.

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you are using a printer all-in-one HP Deskjet 1050 with a Windows 10 PC and the printer takes a long time to print or even copy. I would like to help with that.

    Original title - printing problem

My Dell 926 AIO printer displays only half the work, if that, then stops.  The printer says 'printing' and computer screen says "suppression" of information with the printer.  If I turn off the computer and the printer and start again sometimes I will get any impression over, sometimes just the part not printed in the first task, and sometimes the same - print a page or two and stop.  Is this a problem of printer or a computer problem?

    Hi Dennis,

    1. What operating system is installed on the computer?
    2. Since when are you facing this problem?

Method 1: Try to run the printer troubleshooter.

    Open the printer Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

    Uninstall and reinstall the printer.
