  I'm hoping to make a dynamic shape and I wonder if it's possible.

  I have a database with about 300 entries - pieces of agricultural goods and a few little bits of info on each of these properties.   Yes, this could be done, here is an example that should help: Drop dependent dropdown (specimen attached)

  We have drop-down list is activated option "Text entry allows the custom" (combo box). We need to display a text default value: "- choose or type--

  After the dropdown list gets focus, we must make the empty field, if the user does not need to delete the text "- choose or type--

  Then, when the user cannot choose or type anything and exits the drop-down list, we must display '- choose or type -' again.

  If the only option is to have the value "- choose or type -" as one of the elements of list, we need, whether set to null, empty string, or false.

  Is there a way to do this?

  The best result I get is enter when an event has the value this.rawValue = "--> field becomes empty, but I have not background the way how to assign a value to '- choose or type -' again. Even the call xxx.selectedIndex = 0; or xxx.setItemState(0,true); output action does nothing.

  I know that it would work, if the '- choose or type -' has the value '000', but it is for example very big change for validation scripts, that we cannot accept in this phase of the project.

• Top of the screen will flash intermittently

  I have a laptop g6z 4 months old HP that was bought new at HP.  It has Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  It is attached to an uninterruptible power supply.

  He sometimes "flashes" at the top of the screen.  Flashing is only at the top.  The rest of the screen is stable.

  I ran the HP tool, but everything indicates that it is correct.

  Which can do this, and how to solve the problem?

  I call or e-mail HP and ask for warranty repair.  It sounds like a defective screen for me.  Maybe give it a day or two to see if some experts have another idea.

• In the drop-down list box with header options.

  Well, I don't know if it is possible, but I'll ask anyway. Partially because I have limited real estate FP and also because I think it's a relatively easy way for the user to use, I came up with the following idea:

  I want something that looks like a ring of menu when the not selected, displays the text "plots". Then, when it is selected a list/menu opens downwards (as opposed to the default operation of the rings of menu). In this list/menu will be one element for each parcel of land that appears on a XY Chart. Each item contains a check box (control) and a string (indicator). Channels each displays the name of their respective field. The user can then click on the menu/list/thing to display the items in the plots and may check or uncheck however much they want. The idea is that regardless of the parcels are checked will be displayed on the XY graph.

  First of all, I've explained this well enough and on the other hand, is it possible?

  Similar to the menu Options Thread in these forums (look upward and to the left), when the mouse is hovered above / clicked, a menu appears with fields of string type. You could create something like this with boxes also. To do this (and maybe it's not the best way but just my first thought ) you might have a Subvi borderless modal appear positioned on the control that has controls and indicators to the breast that you need chains. It appears when you click on your 'Plots' control (which could be an indicator of simple string). It would disappear if the user moved the mouse outside the window of the Subvi for more than a few seconds (as for the menu Options Thread above).

  The Subvi should resize based on the number of details of XY graph curve that it should display, but it's not too difficult.

  There may be some drawbacks to that I thought not again but...

  It seems down right when I do dpList-> removeAll().

  I also can't seem to find the right place to call this function to an object of type in my class.  I think it's because the drop-down list is not ready yet as the dpList * is always 0 unless what I call after the line:

  app->setScene(root);
  

  in the applicationui.cpp file.  Calling it works on start-up, but trying to update the list later (by removeAll() and recreate) causes the app crashing.

  is there a better way to do it?  .. and make it safer?  I can't understand how to do this.

  First, drop the:

  dpList->setSelectedOption(0);
  

  Not only if it is not necessary, but it will explode your application if the function is called when there is already no options in the menu dropdown.

  Also, do NOT delete the task, because it is still owned by the datamodel. I also see that you use type casting C, which just blindly accepts your cast, even if it's a mistake. Instead, if you know for sure what kind it will be this way instead:

  Task* myTask = static_cast(myObjects[i]);
  

  If you are not sure if the type you are casting the is the type you need, use the dynamic_cast instead:

  Task* myTask = dynamic_cast(myObjects[i]);
  

  The advantage of this more static_cast , is that if you try to perform a type cast is not compatible, then myTask will be set to NULL.

  Alternatively, Qt offers a replacement for dynamic_cast which works on platforms where is not regular C++ casts.

  Task* myTask = qobject_cast(myObjects[i]);
  

  It is functionally equivalent to dynamic_cast, but as I said, it works on all platforms that Qt exists, whereas dynamic_cast cannot.

• show/hide fields based on the drop-down list of choices

  I have a field from the drop-down list with three choices. Based on the selection, I need a specific text form field to appear and the others to stay hidden. (Or if it makes the code cleaner, the resulting field could be a drop-down list, too, with the selected choice.) I don't know Java well enough to extrapolate the code from the examples online and it fit my forms. I can provide an example of form. Thanks in advance for your help.

  There are ways to run this.  the easiest for you would be to add this script to the event (calculation of the Properties tab) to calculate the field that must be hidden.  Take notes, all "/ /" is some tips for you to understand the code.  You will need to put this script in all the areas you want to replicate the behavior, change the value depending on what you want to accomplish.  the word 'event' means myself to make you understand.

  This works if you have a small amount of fields.  If you manage to have a large number of similar fields, let me know because there are other, faster ways.

  I develop a script (in JavaScript) which will allow a user to select an export PDF presets (that are loaded in a drop-down list) and then export the InDesign file to PDF, by using the selected PDF preset.

  I have the combo fill properly and I am also able to export to PDF correctly, however I have a problem setting the preset has been selected by the user. Here are some of my code fragments:

  Drop-down list:

  I searched the net and got two or three samples on it. But I failed to do my job of form as a requirement. Even if I generated the XML file structure given in the examples.

  I have Windows 7.  I could not afford MS Office, so I downloaded OpenOffice and, later, LibreOffice.  My problem is, when I open a document to write in a program, a drop-down list (formatting) is displayed.  It starts with "Default" at the top.  The box does not work, if I click on anything that it just flashes.  Or it will disappear.  I tried everything I can think of to get rid of him.  And, as long as it's here, I can't write to a document.  I can close, but only by closing the program.

  Is this problem only with free Office programs.  Sometimes when I am looking for a program in Windows 7, or if I'm looking for the Help menu in 7.
