  • Aspire V11Touch - possible problem of OEM partition

    Hello

I think I know the answer to this question, but I hope I'm wrong... would be grateful some advice and/or assistance.

V11 Touch came with W8.1 installed OEM. I made a disk image, a few days after purchase (not USB backup).

I run virtual machines (XP and Vista) using VMware player, and to be honest should have done the same thing with a Windows 10 evaluation copy I downloaded,... but I did not. I installed the trial version, played a bit with it a bit, then tried to factory restore the V11 thinking all would be OK...

    .. .He was not...

I couldn't do a restore to factory in any attempt to do so resulted in the copy of the evaluation being put back in place.

OK, I know I did wrong, but my question is fairly simple. The W10 evaluation copy has erased the original score of OEM of W8.1? If not, how can I get everything?

As I said I have an image of the computer before file evaluation copy has been installed. The original OEM W8.1 partition would be on this image? (I see 3 hard drive image files in the file system image).

Disk Management displays currently 4 partitions - 600 MB (restore healthy partition), 300 MB (health EFI system partition), 449,26 GB NTFS (c :)) drive and 15.50 GB (recovery healthy partition).

A new recovery disk costs about £50 and I think that my only option now is to return the computer to its factory condition (all software Acer present). I do not think that my disk image (taken before the copy of the assessment has been installed) will restore the OEM partition - I'm wrong?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you.

    I guess 15.5 GB's initial recovery, because I can't see the content.

If you wipe the HARD disk, delete you everything, even Acer recovery.

in this case, you can order the shop acer recovery media if you are in the USA:

    http://store.Acer.com/store/aceramer/en_US/eRecovery

or you call Acer support service if outside the USA.

  • Question about the Aspire V5-122P-0889 recovery partition...

My recovery partition is 14.82 GB in size, but it has only 95,21 MB of space used.  I upgraded to 8.1 Windows through shop Windows, but I highly doubt that it would be wiped out the info in the partition.  In addition, this computer is a computer refurbished plant.  When I got it it had a warranty of 30 days on this subject.  I had because I've included in the eMacines floppy drive class.  It does not matter if, as a computer Factory reconditioned, refurbished by Acer, should have the info in the recovery partition, shouldn't it?  I am at a loss.  I would use the recovery option to reinstall Windows 8 I don't like Windows 8.1, but now I see my only option is to buy the Acer USB recovery, and it comes to $43.  It's not just sit well with me.  Any ideas?  It is refurbished at the factory does not mean it must be defective.

I have a System Image backup when he was still just Windows 8, but cannot me use because it says that I can't use a system image of Windows 8 to restore a computer that has Windows 8.1 on it currently.

I know that I can download a Windows 8 ISO, but only with a product key valid OEM product key is not going to work.  Besides, who knows what the product key is anyway, as it is stored in the BIOS.  Once again, any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Well, after doing a little research, it turns out that one of the features of Windows 8.1 upgrade wonderful is that this makes it unusable to your recovery partition.  I guess this teaches you this in the FAQ on Windows 8 upgrade to 8.1.  The only option would have been to make a USB recovery before doing the upgrade, but of course, I did that.  As I said, I have an image of Windows 8 of this machine system, but it is useless for me.  Of course, my only option is to go there and order USB Acer recovery, then after you have reinstalled Windows 8, uses the saved system image so I can get all my programs without having to re-download everything.  Well, $44.95 and some headaches because I didn't read the FAQ and think to make a backup of the appropriate USB recovery.  Maybe this lesson will help someone in the future.  Such is life.

    (1) how can I find or get to the recovery Partition?

    (2) if can possible, I reinstall Windows from scratch and delete all partitions, or what happens to them?

I don't know how Acer or Windows handles the main 500 GB HD and 24 GB SSD that resettlement is made.

Can someone explain what is happening?  Thanks for your help.

Looks like the partition labeled "valorisation" somehow has been erased. You may need to order an Acer recovery media.

  • Default backup Acer Aspire (win 8.1) factory HP 320 GB Pocket drive format to Clipboard 32 GB

How can I get to use Acer Aspire win8.1 desktop that I preformed an Acer factory default creation backup on my HP 320 GB pocket drive that seems to have reformatted my 320 usb HP pocket drive in an expensive paperweight of 32 GB. try to reformat my HP 320 usb reader Pocket using win 8.1 not using NTFS produces no result.

Well, I can't help you with the stuff on the HP Acer Aspire forum but I can help you to recover your HP external disk.

Are you say that now it shows only 32 GB drive and the custom recover the entire 320?

If so, you should be able to delete the partition/partitions on this physical drive, and then create a large volume everywhere again.

    • Make a right click on this PC (computer) or what you named it, and then choose manage.
    • Then select disk management. You can also type in disk management search bar to find. The external hard drive will have one or more partitions that should be the 32 GB drive and the rest of the space. The rest of the space can make it appear not allocated. I'll have to guess here.
    • Right-click on the 32 GB drive and delete the volume. You can do the same thing if she has another partition in there too.
    • Once the drive is unallocated space, you can right click in this field and create a new Volume, and then format it and others.

Let me know how it turns out.

  • make the partition without formatting drive and made game like left4dead affecting the windows program?

When I play left4dead, it freezes and stop smoking... I ask some friend they said I should do a partition because it affects the program.some of windows told me that the video card is low... Thank you...

    Hi dand0y,

1 when was the last time it was working fine?

    2. you receive an error message?

In most of the released games are caused due to corrupt or outdated video card drivers.

    Method 1

I suggest that you visit the video card manufacturer's website download and install latest driver package control if it works.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

    Method 2

Intel® graphics performance analyzers to check the performance of the game.

  • Problems with Acer Aspire V5 - 573 G UEFI?

    Hello

I have Acer Aspire V5 - 573G. Before all the problems start I used Legacy BIOS mode with 10 Windows Pro 64 bit OS. Have the latest BIOS v2.30.

So, recently, I decide to move from the Legacy BIOS UEFI and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with UEFI mode activated with the GPT partition style. Everything went well with the installation.

Now I am facing following issues with UEFI and Windows 10 witch, which I didn't in Legacy BIOS mode:

    1. When the laptop goes to sleep and is not touched for a while, I can't wake up to laptop. Press any key on the keyboard or touch the touchpad don't wake it either. Only way is to press the Power button to stop completely and then turn it back on. I don't know if it's something to do with the Windows settings to resolve this problem.
    2. Restart Windows sometimes stop laptop computer. It's really strange... Windows shows it restarts, screen goes black and does not start, instead it laptop shutdown. ??
    3. And when I shut down the system, it is not entirely clear. Often the blue light continues to blink, CPU and GPU fans are always and still closing system entirely to press on the button / stop.

These issues are somehow related to UEFI, because I had no such problems with the traditional mode and Windows 10. This is starting to annoy me when the laptop stops completely.

    Any help on this?

    Thank you!

  • Where can I post a problem of Aspire One AO756 USB system recovery?

Hello.  Where can I post a problem of Aspire One AO756 USB system recovery?  I had a HARD drive crash, replaced the HARD drive and bought a USB (Win 8.1) on the Acer Store system recovery disk.  The USB settles all the installation files and then said to remove the USB key, then click OK to restart.  But the bios can not find a bootable disk to complete construction. I was sent a second USB drive with the same results.  The new HDD Seagate passes each Seatools test.  In addition, I can boot from USB to the DOS or Linux and access the disk without problem. Thank you

You must use diskpart. in the windows setup program, there is an option to format the partitions manually. allows to delete all partitions, and it will automatically set the MBR or GPT disk.

  • Aspire error TSRI S7-392

    Hello, a newbie here.

Bought an Aspire S7-392.   Upgrade to Windows 8.1.   Partitioned the SSD to 2 discs.   The Intel RST displays error that the SDD0 may have some errors that could cause data problems.

I chatted with representatives of acer support.  He advised me to reinstall Windows 8, restore factory default.  Has made the whole process back to 8.1.  TSRI error persists.  To speak with another representative from ACER who told me to just ignore it! and I wasn't expecting.  Now I don't know what kind of trouble I could end up with.

Let me know of any recommendation.

    Thank you

    Ok

    can you please phone model.

I don't know if it is a hardware or software RAID0, but if a RAID0 fails, you cannot start even to your OS, since the data are split in two between the 2 "array disks" and lose 1 disc means you have lost 50% of your data. (very basic explanation)

so I think it's a mistake to false, but if your system has a hardware RAID, you can check the condition before starting the system.

EDIT: give it a reboot and check if the error reappears.

  • Aspire E1 - 572 - original product key preinstalled Windows 8

I bought my Acer Aspire E1-572 in March 2014 with a Windows 8 preinstalled. I upgraded to 8.1, then Windows 10. Then a friend noticed my laptop computer running very slow and proposed to create a separate partition for all my personal files. He wiped everything clean without realizing that preinstalled Windows does not come with a label old-fashioned of the product key for Windows, so now, I have a version of Windows 10 which cannot be activated. The seller referred me to Microsoft, they referred me to Acer, but... I am out of warranty. I'm afraid to try to refresh my laptop because there is no previous version of Windows 8 on left to return to. Pleeeaaaaase HELP!
