  I see what you mean by shadow. I never noticed, but I just did some tests.

  It seems that you have selected one of the wallpapers stock delivered with the device software. I've tried a couple and I see the shadow. If I have one of my images, use either a photo taken with the camera or an uploaded image, however, there is no shade. I used one of my images throughout, which explains why I never noticed.

  Just give it a try and see if you see the same.

  The Passport will run many Android apps, but not all. Android applications that require Google services won't work completely, or not at all. The new private has a basic Android OS and will run all Android applications (except restrictions depending on the region).

  I'm not sure.  I'll give you my suggestion, followed by the justification.

  First of all, try to restart the device and then try to paste again.  If this solves the problem, read more.

  You should be able to touch the screen inside a text field and then release and the device then displays a small icon which users click to paste.  One of the reasons for which the icon does not appear is because there is nothing to paste.  First make sure that you cut something first and if you think you have done, double check.  Also, try to paste into an email to project or a note in do not forget to check that you can paste it into a different text entry field.

  Paste the icon may not appear because the site does not allow to stick inside the field.  This can be found in the case of a password entry field sometimes.  But I wasn't expecting for a case as in your example.

  So, if you have restarted and also makes sure stick work in other applications, try the following.  1 type something in the text field.  For example, type xxx.  2. touch and hold on until xxxxxx xxxxxx is highlighted and the small window with the dough as one of the actions is displayed.  3. tap paste.  This will replace xxxxx with the content you are pasting.

  Some password fields, you cannot paste.  For example, if you copy a password or code officer password or another source and try to paste into one of these areas, the icon stick will not appear.   However, something striking in the field and select and paste above are a way around.  Your situation is not exactly the same, but perhaps the proposed trick work.

  If you paste wrong in any field, and restarting the device does not solve the problem, then we expect more deep.

  Thinking of upgrading my iPhone 4 s. logical step is the iPhone 6 due to how Apple integrates devices, but the Passport looks like a phone.

  I've upgraded from an iPhone 5 and are very happy with the passport and how it works with my Mac.

  TL; Dr

  Synchronization of a passport with Mac works fine for everything else photos. ICloud same sync works fine. Photos also works, but not as easy as it is with the iPhone and a mac. The BlackBerry has a lot of productivity as a bonus feature.

  The timing looks like this for me:

  -Music, timings of passport via BlackBerry link, works very well. No need to convert songs to iTunes, link them he finds himself. Easy.

  -E - books, I transfer books and other files via BlackBerry mixture. He has a very good file manager and records for books are already there. Easy.

  -Files, see above. File management is easier than the iPhone and iTunes. More control. Easy.

  -Calendar, email and contacts, the passport of BlackBerry has a calendar way better than the iPhone. The e-mail client is also much better. All synchronization via iCloud flawless.

  -Photos, the link is supposed to sync t with iPhoto, but I did not it works. And besides I use Aperture. I I want the synchronization of the picture, I have to manually transfer the photos via the file manager. Hard, but not a big deal for me.

  And the Passport is a really good device communications and productivity. Physical keyboard, I missed it so much! A large touch screen that works well for playback of all. And little things, as a special note app taken easily accessible during phone calls and with the notes related to the call, super nice.

  The manual suggests that the button at the top of the phone is used to "lock screen (press); On/off switch (press and hold); Reset (press and hold for 10 seconds)"

  Mine doesn't work.

  The led light flashes once, then pause, then followed a series of six quick flashes. The phone will not turn on or off.

  Just out of the box, it worked fine for an hour then started its activity in flashing.

  Cannot get the battery for a hard reset.

  I'm having a problem where when I press the "Lock Screen" button on the top of the unit, the screen will Dim (as it should), but if I can operate the unit and sliding upward it opens without requiring a password to enter.

  Is it possible to set this so that when you click on the lock screen button it blocks actually screen and requires the password to enter when he wakes up and slide up on the device?

  Note: I have a set device password and locking the device after is set to 1 minute and screen time set to 30 seconds.

  I timed and tested it and it appears awaits device ~ 45 seconds before asking for the password, I guess that's a convienence parameter but is there a way to to that when you click on lock it locks and requires the password to access again?

  To lock the unit immediately without having to wait for the locking mechanism after the value, press in and hold the locking button, then selecting Lock.

  Hi all, new to Blackberry after moving from Android... This can seem like a really stupid question, but could someone tell me what I should have enabled on my passport for me to receive emails, while I'm away from home settings? Should I just receive them through my provider network (Vodafone), or should I get Data Roaming active or active... for example Mobile Hotspot yesterday, I was away from home & just received an email that was sent to me 6 hours before on the Passport, once I was home, I use Yahoo Mail if that makes a difference!
