  You can:

  1. use the unlock code you generated to enter BIOS

  2 disable all passwords that are enabled in the Security menu of BIOS.

  3. If the request for current password - enter the unlock code

  4. for the new password, simply press the ENTER key

  5. repeat the same thing to check the password column.

• Folio 13: Reset password BIOS - Folio 13 HP

  Reset password BIOS - Folio 13 HP
  System to disable code 70406515

  Steps to follow:
  1. use the posted above unlock code to access the BIOS
  2 disable all passwords that are enabled
  3. If the request for current password - enter the unlock code
  4. for the new password, simply press the ENTER key
  5. repeat the same thing to check the password column.
  6. then exit the BIOS saving & exit option to save the changes.

  Troubleshooting:
  Incase if the password does not work please try a Hard Reset as follows.

  1. power off the laptop

  2 disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery

  3 hold the Power button for 30 seconds

  4. connect the power supply/AC adapter (leave the battery for now) & start Notepad

  5. If now see you a password, please type the password I shared front of saaaqaaaqaqqqaqqaaqaaqaaqaqaaaaaame and press on enter

  Unfortunately, business machines have a stricter security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

  If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a file custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.

• My Folio 9470 fingerprints m dowsn can't work after a long turn outside

  I use HP Folio 9470 m, my problem is:

  1. stop my and hold it for the night

  2. I turn it on the next morning, the BIOS asked me the password or fingerprint to log.

  3. I tried several times with the fingerprint but it does not work, even I click the button 'User footprint' and analyze my finger but it still does not work

  4. I enter my password, then starts OS off my computer

  5. I turn it on after his stop, the fingerprint now works again.

  The problem happened every morning, when I try to start my computer after a long day to the next. It will never happen if I stop in no time (1 or 2 hours).

  How can I solve this problem?

• Folio 9470 m ultrabook: validity fingerprint (vfs491) sensor stopped working after Windows 7 is 'important' updates

  I was connecting my HP Elitebook Folio 9470 m using the reader of fingerprints without problem since I got it, but this week I made a few updates to Windows 7 (more important only) and now the fingerprint reader is not an option when I start.

  The player is visible in material under biometrics Manager and I checked, this is the latest driver from HP (I uninstalled it and reinstalled it which didn't work). I find no biometrics, if I look for the Panel well.

  I activated the biometrics in Windows components (using gpedit.msc: Administrative Templates - windows components - biometrics)

  Some of the forum posts I've seen speak simplepass and hp protect programs - I don't know if they have something to do with it?

  Is there a way to reactivate or add it as an option for connection?

  I checked the bios has the fingerprint reader enabled (is) left the laptop for a day and then it started working again!

  Strange, but at least it works again.

  Unfortunately, after installing the card WWan, bios keeps stop and blink CARD WWAN NOT supported.

  Hello, I recently did a clean install of Windows Enterprise 8.1 on my EliteBook Folio 9470 m and fight to get the configuration of the Intel Quick Start technology. The software will not install claiming that there are no prerequisites and TSRI is grayed out in the system BIOS. I have confirmed the presence of the mSATA SDS (lms-32l6m-hp-liteonit) device. • Folio 9470 m: "lock" function key is triggered by an action on the touchpad

  On my laptop Folio 9470, I touch the touch pad in a way that locks the control key. I do not know what causes this behavior - everybody knows it?  All the keys I touch on the keyboard's behavior as if the command is also pressed at the same time. For example, when I press 9, the behavior is obtained by pressing Control-9. I have to restart my PC to get out of this mode because I don't know what triggered it in the first place.

  Step 01. Click the Start button and select Control Panel
  Step 02. Open Device Manager and expand the keyboard in the list
  Step 03. Right-click on PS/2 Standard Keyboard and click on uninstall
  Note: This driver will settle again automatically on your laptop
  Step 04. Please turn off the laptop
  Step 05. Disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too
  Step 06. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for a minute
  Step 07. Now re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter
  Step 08. Start Notepad and keep pressing the F10 key during startup to access the BIOS
  Step 09. Once you get the BIOS, please press F9 or [model] F5 key to load the default Installer for BIOS
  Step 10. Use the arrow keys to say 'YES' and press enter
  Step 11. Now press ESC/ESC. Save Changes and Exit - Yes
  Step 12. Now, please wait until the unit load the Windows operating system

  Now please re - install the drivers for touchpad of HP Web site in order to solve the problem
