Hello! I am currently experiencing a problem with my Blackberry ID. It seems that I can have forgotten the password to my ID I asked a password reset to my email address which is also my ID. The problem is that I don't use email more and have not used for some time and as such cannot access the email to get the reset link sent. My ID is [email protected]. I really need help ASAP! coz I can't lose all my info

Well, there's good and bad here. First of all, be glad you're not on OS 10.3.2. With this operating system on the device and in your exact situation, you would have a brick for a device. 10.3.2 has the new feature of protection against theft that locks the device until the password is entered. There is no way around it, not even a wipe.

However, with 10.2.1 at least, you can wipe your device and start over with a new BBID. You will need to create a new BBID and connect you with that. All the apps that you have purchased will be lost and you will need to redeem them and your BBM contacts will be lost. You will not be able to restore your backups, because as is necessary the unit to be connected with the same BBID.

Live and learn... keep it up on your BBID. It is important. Have an account with an email, that you no longer have access will often lead to loss of that account if you have forgotten your password... not only your BBID account but any account. You must keep track of passwords and email addresses, just right to face your house keys and a car. It's just the times we live.

    App world tells me on the right side of the page that my machine is connected (which is) via the USB port. I tried the phone turned off, taking the battery for more than a minute to be sure, restart the phone, restart the computer and try again with no luck.

    I also tried several browsers, Chrome and Firefox.

    I therefore disabled my firewall and still had no success. This gets really annoying, and my blackberry seems to have stupid questions like this forever.

    I tried in IE and it works. Went back to Firefox and Chrome, and it does not work. But the interesting thing is a friend tried his blackberry on my computer and it works fine in Firefox.

    EDIT: I found the problem, I deleted the App World Plugin from my computer and reinstalled Firefox and it works. Why it does not detect that I use a plugin obsolete?

    Anyway, problem solved.

    Depending on your situation, you should not have a new BB ID... You can simply retrieve your password of your existing:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question

    • KB26361 How to change or reset a BlackBerry ID password

    But, if you want to really abandon your current BB ID and create a new:

    I have a similar problem with my Blackberry Pearl 8110, Desktop Manager 5.01 and Outlook 2003 SP3.

    When I try to synchronize my contacts from my Blackberry to Outlook, the process gets thru 'Read in the device address book' 90 and 90 files without problem.  It starts the process following "Treatment Device Address Book" and gets 86 90 files and stops and a pop error message window: [title bar] Intellisync. It has a red circle with 'X' white and says "Unable to read data from application." with an ok button.

    I uninstalled Desktop Manager 5.01 twice, deleted the folder Intellisync following "KB11703" with no luck.

    In the Intellisync [C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync] folder I found this file: PtTrace.log (see below):

    Honestly, it sounds like a bad record... If you can refine what folder and delete it, maybe then things move on.

    But the KB02048 is therefore more accessible because RIM has either deleted from the Knowledge Base or?

    I couldn't find a solution for this, ANYWHERE so I just decided to fix this problem just upgrade to the new version of the BlackBerry Desktop version 6.0.0.40 software. And now, ALL my contacts synchronize with a problem.

    Also from the beginning of this problem and now I have also improved my Outlook 2003 to 2007 and then to 2010.

    So I do not know if the combo of doing all this software update fixed the issue of the contact crupt but its market not now and that's what I need.

  • Problems with my Blackberry Storm blackBerry Smartphones

    I just bought a new Blackberry Storm Verizon about a week and a half. I really wanted to get one when they came out first, but a lot of apps from third party that I used all the time on my Motorola Q were not available for the storm. After waiting this long I decided to go there and get one anyway and test it. Much, I love the storm and the concept, Blackberry (storm) and very in deca. I used a Motorola Q for the last 3 years and could do almost everything I needed with it. Why make things too hard and try to be an island intrinsically Blackberry?

    Problems I see with Blackberry and storm:

    1 JAVAScript does not work correctly. I have installation of webcams in my office and at home that runs Javascript and they work perfectly on my Q using the browser Opera Mobile, Skyfire and IE. On my Storm, I tried to search for it a Blackberry, all three modes of emulation, BB, IE and FireFox and none it will display. (Note: I also tried the bolt and Opera Mini, the cushion of numbers does not work in Opera Mini, he types lower case letters).

    2. software remote access connection is another nightmare. I could use on my Q software VNC FREE remote access to my office or home computers. For the storm, the ONLY option I can find is simply a paid for the program.

    3. the third-party apps. There are very, very small number of third-party for the Blackberry Storm applications (and seems to be the Blackberry in general). Is Blackberry so hung up on themselves that they will not be open and allow the sellers to fill the big gaps they left with their product (s).

    4. I can't access to my college email address located on Microsoft Outlook Live via a web browser or email on the BB.

    Here are some of the problems that I have seem to have with the BB. Too bad I don't like Windows, I have to say it works and third party apps are lacking and simply do not work. Apart from all this, I'm really doing my job as a storm for me, because I love the technology involved with him.

    A gleemer of hope, thanks goodness PDANet has finally released a beta for the storm. He was the biggest reason that I would not get a storm originally was to be able to connect my laptop to my smartphone.

    If you pass (correctly or incorrectly) in both directions between the signals. IN the management of connections > Mobile network > network technology, you can choose one or the other, why not try only GSM or 1XEV for awhile and see how it locked to one or the other.

    They can tell you your username in the blink of an eye. They can also reset the password (if they have administrator rights) or just to get the user name and go to the "forgot password" and it will send it directly to your device.

    Nevermind! I solved this myself, haha.  I went to my carriers BIS site and discovered that my old PIN was again activated on my settings.  I just had to move the esn and PIN for new phone and im good to go.

    Hello the BB community, I am new here and I just wanted to correct a problem with my blackberry.

    Well when I started to connect my blackberry to load (I have a usb to wall adapter charger), the battery percentage would not rise. Thus, after removing the battery and put it in the creeped out slowly on its way to 80% battery power and no more would go high, no matter how long I left it to charge.  Same problem when I tried to charge it via the USB port connected to a PC.

    To try to solve my problem, I bought a new battery.  At first I thought it was the solution because the battery has been charging at a normal speed and don't punish me out constantly.  However, even once, I noticed that, after a night of load, the power would NOT higher than 80%.

    I tried all tricks, even reset my blackberry and re-installed the software. However nothing will leave power rise above 80%...

    Help, please!
