path for windows dll

Hello

I want to clarify where my application will search windows DLLs.

I found this article:

http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/862567530005F09C862565C50068363D

But I can't add the path like this: \System32

And this is the problem because the system can be installed on different drives.

I could make builder to copy the DLLs in its data directory, but this causes my application crash...

If your DLL is located in the or the Directory simply configure the path of the library in the library node call only to specify the name of the DLL without any path. This will make LabVIEW call the Windows API LoadLibrary() bearing this name only and Windows will search this DLL in these places with whatever the correct paths for the current system.

    Hi Billy,

Try a clean boot (Vista and W7) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once don't forget to reset your system back to the normal state, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work. If you are using XP, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316434.

    I hope this helps.

  • What is the file path for Windows Live Mail storage files in Win7?

I had to save my old C drive and reinstall the OS and now I can't find all my e-mail folders that were under the "Storage folders" section of WLM.  Please tell us where the program records those so I can copy this folder.

Also, where are the stored so WLM Contacts I can do the same thing for that.

WLM is delivered with a default section called "storage folders".  They are different from where the Inbox stores the messages, you can check in the section Options/Advanced Options / Maint.

This is the folder called storage folders is, too.

Still looking for the answer to where the contacts are stored.

Which varies according to the version of the program. In the last (WLMail 2011), they are in a database in the folder called C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts\Default, where C:\ is the drive operating system. You won't be able to make use of all other folders next default one.

Questions about contacts in Windows Live Mail its place in this forum. You must give your version of the software when you post it. In WLMail to find, has press on ALT - H. If that does not show you the version and number generation, press escape twice, then press Alt - F B.

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  • Libguide40.dll in C:\Windows\Wow64: is it necessary for Windows to operate?

Running Windows 7 with a new system.  Processor Intel 5930 K, and also has the Thunderbolt chip (intel).

Many people have complained that Libguide40.dll (an older file) is in conflict with Intel new Libiomp5md.dll that is used with the existing programs and new processors, etc.

This error occurs when you use the latest version of Cyberlink burning software.  I get the error trying to burn a new data CD with drivers updated for a program I use.

More specifically, you get an error saying 15 OMP libguide40.lib is there, but also found libiomp5md.lib and if the program does not know what to do.

They say to go to the environment variable and to KMP_Duplicate_lib_OK = True to ignore the conflict of the library, but Intel says you can delete the file Libguide40.dll and keep up with the libiomp5md.dll, but no guarantee there is not no effect Windows System.

Libguide40.dll is therefore necessary to ensure that windows 7 works?

CyberLink (the CD for LG burners) has the libiomp5md.dll as part of the installation of my blu - ray drive

If I uninstall the libguide40 or rename it, Windows will crash?

    Thank you

  • LV 5.1: Secondary DLL not found, path to the DLL to work it must be re-specified every time

I wrote a little VI (my first!) to send a string to a DLL that has written:

    SendStringToDACQ.vi

Our DLL exports two functions, DACQInputMsg() and DACQOutputMsg(), who receive and output channels, respectively. DACQ.dll also called PIDebug.dll, which we use to write debug information to the Windows debug stream.

    The DACQ.dll and the PIDebug.dll live in C:\Program Files\Pulse20\

The VI _always_ complains when I load first, that PIDebug.dll could not load, and the VI is not executable. If I change the library function call, I see that the path I had entered as C:\Program Files\Pulse20\dacq.dll has been replaced by...... \dacq.dll. If I just retype as C:\Program Files\Pulse20\dacq.dll and click OK, it still is unexecutable. But if I then click Browse (which opens C:\Program Files\Pulse20\) and then click OK, then everything works.

But if I save it, close LabVIEW and run it again, I have to start all over again.

Note that I have by clicking Browse does not change what LabVIEW sees as the path to the DLL. It seems just "wakes up" something and actually load the DLL (and possibly the DLL depends on it?). The actual function call, calling convention, and the arguments are correct because everything works after I re - specify and re - browse to the DLL.

Yes, we use LabVIEW 5.1. If I can get some things fixed and complete this proof of concept, then maybe I can get approval to upgrade!

    Thank you!

Sorry for the Kipper, it was PEBCAK. Put C:\Program Files\Pulse20 in the Windows environment variables corrects the problem.
