Pav p6243w: change of RAM

Hi im new to the forum. Names of Mike. my computer is 2009, but tech support said that I did not need to buy a new one for a faster speed. He slowed down, so first I bought an OEM Samsung DDR2 2 GB to replace the 1 GB installed on location DIMM # 1. I know that my Board can use up to 3.5 GB not the full 4 but it would help my speed? If it's a good thing without worrying, how can I change the map. I don't know how but not the procedure if one is necessary. (ie. off, unplug, discharge static electricity... etc) Thanks in advance...

No, you can not do it yourself. The system will automatically change to the need for more ram.

Hello! Thanks to the time to read this topic, I have a question on my hp compac D220 pc so I hope you will tell me the answer!
IM runing windows 7 now and try to install windows 8.1 but IE NX unsupported. So I decided to change my processor and the extra ram of 1 GB ad, and the new graphics card but I don't know that the graphics card & CPU (last) support my pc.
Here is my pc in detail.
1.80 ghz, 180 GB HARD drive and 1 GB of ram, motherboard AMIBOIS, Windows 7 running. So suggest
me that I buy a new pc or
change cpu, ram and graphics card.

    Hello

As it is an OEM machine, you will not be able to replace the CPU this processor is specifically compatible with OEM motherboard. If you are looking to change the CPU, RAM and GPU, you really can both do you a favor and buy a new machine all together, or build your own.

I just installed two new modules of memory (4 GB), but my laptop recognizes only one of them. I tried to research on how to change RAM voltage in the BIOS to see if that will allow the laptop to recognize the bars of memory, but can not find a way to do.

Can someone please advise on how to change the RAM voltage in the BIOS (specifically from 1, 5V to 1.6V). Thank you.

the RAM voltage can be changed in the BIOS. ThinkPad does not offer this possibility.

    Hello

I was wondering I just bought a new Toshiba Tecra A10, I just wondered how the change of the RAM, it comes with 1 GB of Ram I want upgraded to 2 GB or 4 GB.

The RAM slots are located at the rear of the Machine or below the keyboard?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Memory module compartment is placed at the bottom of the unit.
You can remove the screw clean the lid in plastic and then you will be able to remove this cover and access locations of memory.

AFAIK, you can upgrade the memory for max 8GB (2 x 4 GB), but it's not necessary you can upgrade to 4 GB RAM and it is more than enough

    Hello

I m not very good if this disk will work in your notebook.
The fact is that hard drives support different master/slave/c-salt settings and wrong settings lead to error IDE #1.
The BIOS does not simply recognize the CD/DVD drive.

  • Pavilion dm3-2020eo does not start after change of RAM

As the topic says my computer does not start after a change of the RAM.

I've updated 2 x 2 GB 2 x 4 GB DDR3 SO - DIMM 204pins Rams. When I start the computer after installing new RAM does nothing, all I get is a black screen.

According to the Spec computers, it should be able to take up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Here's the key:

We're working on two sockets and one does not at all.

You have a bad memory module. It happens very rarely, but it's not impossible to get a new stick of bad memory. Get the replaced bad and I think you'll be fine.

  • I changed my ram and something is wrong

    Hello

I am having trouble with my MacBook Pro. It's from early 2011, and it got REALLY slow down recently. Everything seemed to go well in general so I bought new Ram (2 x 4 GB instead of the 2x2gb installed). A few hours ago, I installed the RAM and the problem is that the computer is now super fast but it does that for a while then suddenly restart itself. Chrome and Thunderbird are also break repeatedly, sometimes after working for a while, sometimes they crash at startup.

I tried to install El Capitan, but I get the message ' year error occurred "3 times already (I'm still on yosemite because my computer was so slow and almost died).

I ran a program called Rember and I received the following message:

"FAILURE: incompatibility of data to local address 0x0000000175271d80."

    "Actual data: 0x0000000175261d80.

Is it possible that something is in conflict with the new ram I have installed, causing the failure of the system?

A note: I bought a set of 2 x 4 GB of ram before and they did not work at all - my MacBook Pro would just keep rebooting. Now it's different because the computer running for a period of time (about 30 min to an hour).

I hope someone can help me solve this problem.

    Thank you

What happens when you install the RAM of origin?

Macs are very selective with regard to the RAM.  What brand did you buy and what are the specs of the RAM?

Check if your MBP had the kernel panics.  If so, use these instructions to post a:

  • Pav DV7 7015 ca: ram high grade

    DV7 / i7 @ 2.30 3610 quad Core / 8 GB ram / win 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

I would add (double) the RAM in this machine, but have never had coverage of the and have no idea where the ram or how many sticks make up the 8 GB has currently. I need to speed things up upward with the upgrade of ram and an SSD for help with my RAW photo processing.

    (1) what type of ram, this machine uses?
    (2) can I just add more (another stick 8 GB) or can I replace the current with a 16 gb key?
    (3) what is the maximum amount of ram that this machine will use?

I am a type of office and have no idea of what was going on inside your laptop. Thanks in advance.

According to the official specs, you have 2 x 4 equals 8 GB.

    Plug

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

See page 53. Memory is inside the large T shaped cover on the bottom of the laptop. It can take up to 16 GB of memory, modules of 2 x 8 gig of this stuff:

    Module memory 8 GB (PC3 12800, 1600 MHz) 670034-001

    http://www.Amazon.com/Kingston-PC3-12800-notebooks-KTH-X3C-8g/DP/B0089MTP0W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1461606849&SR=8-1&keywords=670034-001

Memory prices are falling again, so it is a good time to buy. I say most people forget the 8 GB to 16 GB upgrade computer since most users have no 16 GB of RAM but the treatment of RAW to .jpgs images or another format is an exception to this: you need all the memory and help you can get.

An SSD is also a good idea. Your laptop can actually take 2 hard drives. I could write a book on options that gives you and how to on this subject, and I'll do it if post you back and ask questions.
