Paved touch glass separating it from the body of the touchpad.

Hi everyone, new user touchpad/webOS here.

My new 32 GB touchpad seems to have a flaw. The glass screen is separate from the rest of the body. I phoned the free Butler service and spoke to a representative on Wednesday afternoon, who advised me to send pictures to show the problem and was told that I would hear within 24 hours of their receipt of my e-mail.

I received a reply this morning (Thursday) saying they received my email and will now work on my case, and I will be contacted when they have an update.

I waited patiently all day for an update with no luck. That's maybe ten hours later, more or less? Now maybe I don't understand the process, but surely it is a manufacturing defect and should be a simple matter of performance for a repair? I'm not quite sure of what is considering the delay I got only two days and the screen has begun to lift on the bottom of the touch pad near the Center Home button.

Please could someone advise me on the turnaround times for this kind of questions? My main concern at the moment, it is that even if I only got 2 days, my touchpad is sitting in the store that I bought since Saturday (they were trying to get a new one, one was commissioned as a replacement without a bit of luck). My 14 days money back guarantee window is short, especially with the end of next week.

If this stretches and I pass in front of the window of 14 days, would still be eligible for a refund on a defective touchpad, IE not only wear?

Also, should I send my return the whole box? That is to say... the brown box of white touchpad including all accessories in box up inside the outer box for a repair? I will answer all the accessories again when they send the a refurbished?

Apologies for dumb questions (maybe). I have virtually no experience with getting the items returned or replaced, so this is all new to me.

OK, finally I have the success I think!

After a discussion very unsuccessful online earlier this afternoon, I was reading how some people had gotten their touchpads, replaced by advanced unit warranty replacement service. I thought... what the heck... I'll try another web cat to see if the little guaranteed touchpad which includes or not.

Unfortunately, I told myself that no, this is not included in the warranty... Perhaps those of US in the United Kingdom do not understand that? Or maybe the firesale touchpads are not included... I'm not sure on this one. However, I have my history Patricia to relay and explain that I'm quite angry to says that I have to wait until 'during the next week', before I heard if I can send my touchpad in repair.

Long story short... after a long hours Webchat that lasted almost 40 minutes longer that they are supposed to be open (web chat closed at 17:30 in the United Kingdom according to the Palm support page), I now have my created Service repair order and a UPS box is sent to me with a prepaid label. Unfortunately, it will take 7-10 days, but at least they now send me a box to return in.

Score... I think so? Fingers crossed that all is well now, I have created real service order. I think I need a lie down!

    You should definitely take your iPhone to an Apple Store or Service Center authorized Apple repair.

    When you do this, you will not have to make any decision about what glass use.  Authorized people will repair your iPhone in a proper way.

  • WIN8 registers touch but no reaction from the user interface?

    Anyone having problems with Win8 button when your fingers are clearly registered (Windows gives this feedback from the spherical ripple effect) but the user interface under your finger does nothing? No not the button and so on.

    I live it with some Chrome for example, with the small button tab when it is near the top edge of the screen.

    If I drag the window to the center of the screen, I have no problem with getting keys recorded. Hit the button new little tab gives no trouble.

    When user interface elements are close to the edge, no reaction, even if the wave indicator appears.

    Cannot know if it is a driver or a HW problem. I use X220T.

    May be a problem with Chrome, in fact. Tried with Firefox and the new tab button is a lot easier to hit. ---> will give Chrome devs a hint

    I just bought a spectrum ew HP laptop and the touchpad works well in most parts except for the left and right-click buttons.

    Just that they behave like primary and secondary clicks. I checked that they were set to be as such, but it still does not work.

    Step 01. Turn off the laptop

    Step 02. Disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

    Step 03. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for a minute

    Step 05. Start Notepad and keep pressing the F10 key during startup to access the BIOS

    Check with the manufacturer of system support, documentation in line, or forums as there probably
    are shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

    Toshiba has also map of keys which allow easy adjustment of the TouchPad. See support for Toshiba
    and Forums. The key shortcut for the TouchPad, if they are responsible in the Fn + F9 or see the key card
    So usually loaded at the top of the screen.

    There is also usually a TouchPad control utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock
    at the bottom right.

    I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem - the screen of my iPhone 5 has started to "detach" from the main body of the phone, and I have just been quoted £206,44 to repair.

    The screen still works, but at the bottom of the phone around the home button, it raised about 0.5 cm. I can push the screen but then it will be flex and bulge in the Middle the phone and when I let go of the center of the fall of the rear screen and the bottom rises again. I can lift the screen very slightly until the screen goes black.

    Phones do not are damaged/deleted and there has been a case on since purchase.

    I had looked around this and other forums and it seems to be due to a "battery swelling' users seem to be getting free out of warranty repairs or replacements. I expect to pay a little (postage, possibly a cost of repairs due to the age of phones), but £200 + is that the phone is worth the trouble. It is a model for the launch, so I got it since 2012.

    If anyone else has had this problem, and have you solved it without having to spend a huge sum of money?

    The most economical solution is to locate a category renowned repair shop.

    Be forewarned that the fan - boys on the forum will tell you that you're a bad person if you do.

    Now this eprint centre is no longer used, can someone tell me how to remove unwanted applications from my Photosmart 7520 screen? I deleted the 'My Services' of connected HP but the icons are still cluttering up my screen. If I have a touch by mistake I have to dive and remove the paper or touch print Cancel to not print out.

    Something amazing happened! They are all gone. Don't know how but now the screen is empty apart from the "Get More" icon - and I certainly don't have to touch that!

    I work in LabVIEW 13. I get a string from a robot in this format: "[X, Y, Z]," where X, Y, Z are numbers that vary in character count. I am wanting to split these 3 double channels separated with just the numeric values (i.e. remove the square brackets and commas) and then graphic error between the ordered position data vs the returned position data. I looked at the search and replace and split strings of vi, but I'm kind of confused on how to use them properly.

    Graphic, I think you can figure out to play around with the numbers. To help you get started, here's how would you use string analysis for 3 numbers:

    If you are just graphical error between actual and theoretical, it's easy. Get the XYZ difference between two points, and then perform a calculation of Pythagorean theorem on the resulting vector.

    to check your setting first:

    Right click the speaker icon in the notification area and choose: Adjust Audio properties.

    Or: Control Panel, sounds and Audio devices.

    Volume tab: click Advanced under Speaker settings and open the drop-down list for the speaker setup and choose your speakers, click on apply.

    Click the performance tab and move the sliders to the complete and best, click OK.

    According to the Volume of the device, click Advanced.

    On the page of the Volume control, click Options in the menu, click Properties.

    Mixing should be your system and not one of your pickups.

    With reading selected all the check boxes.

    Click record, peripheral mixing system, check all the boxes.

    Click play again, and then click OK.
