  • Satellite A500 and annoying problem HDMI

    Hello world

I bought a Satellite A500 a year ago and I'm trying to use it with my Pannasonic Veria Plasma TV connected via HDMI. The way I use it is I leave the HDMI cable connected all the time and then swap between the use of the TV and my laptop. The problem I have is that it will not failover to the HDMI, I even try to disconnect the cable and by him plugging back in - then the screen turns off to switch but then it goes to the rear of the laptop screen.

After doing during up to 10 times it will eventually reverse but will then swap back to the laptop after about 10 seconds and that case I must keep trying until it finally works - VERY BORING

    Hoping someone can help.

And what happens when you start your laptop without HDMI cable connected?
Connect when the OS is fully charged, then when the active TV and HDMI port correctly, try to switch to TV ONLY using FN + F5.

It works or the same thing happens again?

I understand your question, but there is not a special solution. Connection HDMI either works or not.

  • Problem HDMI with Satellite C850-175

    Hello

My problem is that recently I bought projector Optoma GT750, unfortunately it doesen't work with my HDMI throught C850-175 (OS Win7 Home Premium 64) port. I have tryied all drivers Intel and Toshiba available for chart (Intel HD Graphics) but no luck there.

The more anoing thing is that HDMI works with HDMI all equipped with TV I have tryied but will not work with projector Optoma GT750. It seams to be no communication at all when you use HDMI between the two. Not even a wink, I tryied many various HDMI cables including designated 1. 4 gold plated a HDCP-no luck there too.

First of all ask, when using VGA port for conecting these two there is no problem at all for this to work, but I would like to use HDMI I don't need additional cables for sound.

I hope that above is detailed enough for any tech minded to be able to determine what the problem is.

I googled the problem and can not find a solution at all.

Someone at - it had similar problems or maybe someone knows what it prevents these two see each other through HDMI?

    Thanks in advance

I think it will be not easy to say why all this happens.
Usually when you are using the TV and use the HDMI key combination FN will be there (the unit is detected).
The same option is available when the projector is connected?

  • Qosmio G30 - external display problem (HDMI)

    Hello

I have Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP display with HDMI and DVI (with HDMI DVI converter) entry - I use HDMI as my primary connection. My Qosmio has NVidia 7600 Go card with the latest drivers provided by Toshiba for Vista 32 bit (version 7.15.10.9813).

My monitor was working fine months ago (same thing with my HDMI TV) I had no problems - but now I have a constant flickering problem (goes black watch my office then becomes black again) computer laptop monitor and no image on external display at all and I get 'balloon' message in the taskbar that my display driver has stopped working and it recovers when I leave my HDMI cable.

    any ideas?

    Thank you
    Bran.

    Hi Brani

It seems that the error comes from the display driver.
Why you n t try to remove the old display driver and try to reinstall the graphics driver of the European driver Toshiba page
    You may notice some improvements.

By the way; It might be useful to know that the Qosmio G30 supports the standard HDMI V1.1 (up to 1080i resolution).

    Good bye

  • HDR5010KB-digital recorder - signal does not always come through the use of HDMI

    Hello

I bought the product above in October. Since then, I have had intermittent problems. When switching on the channel AV on my TV (a Panasonic TX-P42S20B) signal is not always crossed when you use the HDMI channel (I also connected via a SCART, and who works so always seems to be a problem HDMI.) It is particularly obvious when the recorder has been used for a while (be it for recording or playback.) It is not overheating (or if this is the case, not to the degree I get a warning message) and turn off the power to the electric network seems to correct the problem, but it's a pain.

I tried to change the hdmi cable, as well as to try different channels AV on my TV and it did not help. Is this a common problem or make me a defective unit?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated

Have you noticed the same problem using other devices connected to your TV (using the same cable)?

  • Toshiba L 40, 6353 - no signal HDMI using other input sources

I have toshiba L 40, 6353 and strange problem with toshiba and my cable box.
On my previous LCD, I had no such problem.

If I turn off my TV or change to another source of entry for longer then 5-10 minutes and return to the HDMI from my cable box I get the message "no signal". I have to turn my stb or unplug hdmi and taken back to return to picture.

The decoder is not a problem because on the other TV it works fine.
I can always change the channel on that (display on the stb itself) but my toshiba led displays no signal.
I have my PC connected to an hdmi port and do not have this problem

    So far I have tried:
to connect my cable box to each of 4 ports HDMI and the same issue.
to disable the power management feature everything related to extinguish. Even 'turn if no signal' for each port individually.

    any ideas?

I have Toshiba 40 TV but the other model. I use STB too and two other HDMI ports for Blu - Ray player and my laptop.
Everything works OK and I'm happy that I don't have this problem HDMI on my TV.

It is unclear to me that there is something you can change in the settings. Have you tried to test the functionality of HDMI ports by using another high-quality HDMI cable or other external devices such as a DVD or Blu - Ray player?

It will be interesting to know if problem occurs with the use of your decoder only.

  • HDMI has stopped playing sound using Vista

I have been using a HDMI cable to play Netflix on my TV via a laptop computer for a couple of years.  Suddenly, yesterday, I hooked it up and plays the video but not sound.  The sound comes through the speakers.  I went on several forums looking for answers to the problem "hdmi will not play sound" and none of the solutions work.

For example, I did this: click Start, go to control panel, go in where it says hardware and audio and click the words 'Hardware and Sound', then the third option down, is "Sound". On the right under 'Sound', he says 'manage Audio devices '. Click on that and then click on where it says "device (HDMI) digital output" when that highlights, go down and click on "Set as default", then click on 'OK '.
I do not see the DEVICE of DIGITAL (HDMI) OUTPUT in the box "manage audio devices" and it can be a problem, but what is confusing to me, is that I used to be able to play sounds without any problem, and now I can't.
Something has changed, but I don't know what.  Microsoft has made an update that now interferes with the sound hdmi?

    Hello

Make sure that the physical connections are properly connected. You can do the system restore, see if it works very well.

  • Computer does not connect to Tv (HDMI)

I would like to watch movies and tv on my tv through my computer shows. I used an HDMI input to connect to my tv and the sound worked for a while. But the other day I had to scoot my computer and I unplugged the cable hdmi from my computer while it was on and I plugged it in and it doesn't work anymore. I had already used the Panel to try to get two moniters back (my computer and my tv), but it would recognize my TV what should I do?

Some video cards need to connect to the TV through the monitor settings (multiple). Until you do this, the TV signal cannot be routed on the HDMI output.
With the card nVidia, for example, you use the nVidia Control Panel (right click on the desktop and then nVidia Control Panel) to set your PC screen and your TV screen, if both should show the same (aka clone setting), independent or used to extend office. This setting usually remains for as long as the PC is not rebooted, even when the TV is off. If the computer is restarted, you have to redo the settings of the TV. The TV out video card detection varies also from TV to TV. Some cannot be detected unless the position is an HDMI port, while others (in the minority, I think) can detect regardless of their settings AV. It is perhaps also dependent on the video card, but my observation is based on at least 3 different models of nVidia graphics cards.

To confirm that your TV HDMI input port is OK, if you can, try with another TV HDMI input. The TV HDMI input ports seem to be notoriously little reliable and they can fail. One of my friends had a similar problem and had his TV and was replaced for free by describing the problem HDMI all in a few months, out of warranty. You makes you ask why the manufacturer was so eager to replace (but no complaints for the good gesture!). This may not affect you, but the HDMI port on all LCD TVs is a relatively new gadget and not well tested over time for reliability in various usage scenarios and could be the weak link between a computer and digital television.

  • HDMI audio still works but only my TV displays the desktop instead of what's on my computer moniter.

    Hello

Hope someone can help with this mystery.  I've been watching Netflix fine until yesterday, when all of a sudden the HDMI signal has stopped working.  I can put a movie and hear through television, but the TV shows a picture of my office, even if the Office does not appear on the computer, the film shows.  How is that even possible?  Tried turning off and unplugging everything.  With the help of windows 8 (and is it to be terribly frustrating)

    Hello Randy,

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help you.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    2. Did you try to connect to a different HDMI port and check if it works?

According to the description of the signal problem HDMI has stopped working. You also mentioned that you can put a movie and hear through television, but the TV shows a picture of your desktop, even if the Office does not appear on the computer.

HDMI cables are supported, but not all, audio signals compatible HDMI video audio support cards. If your TV has an audio input, you might be able to connect an audio cable separated from the sound card of your computer directly to the TV. Otherwise, you need to connect the different audio signal to an output device, such as external speakers or your stereo. Follow these methods and check if that helps:

    Method 1:

I suggest to disconnect the HDMI cable and try to connect it buy, follow these steps.

    a. turn off your computer and place it near your TV. Unplug the monitor, but leave the mouse and keyboard connected.

    b. connect the video cable from your computer's output to your TV.

    c. turn on your TV and set it to the input that matches the output on your computer. You may need to refer to the supplied with your television user's guide for instructions on how to do it.

    d. turn on your computer.

    e. you should see windows displayed on your TV. If the screen looks stretched, or part of the screen seems cut off, you will probably have to adjust the screen resolution in Windows.

    f. If Windows will appear on your TV, you will need to reconnect the computer to your monitor and adjust the screen resolution before connect you to your TV.

To set screen resolution follow this procedure:

    a. right click on the screen, and then select the Screen Resolution.

    b. check if the resolution is set to 1024 x 768.

    c. If this isn't the case, then set it to 1024 x 768.

If the problem persists, go to method 2.

    Method 2

According to your description, it seems the question could be linked to the display drivers and try again the steps to uninstall graphics card in Device Manager, uninstall the drivers of device from the list of programs, and then download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website.

    Step 1:

Uninstall the device from Device Manager

    • Open the Device Manager
    • Expand the section of the graphics card .
    • Find the Display card Driver.
    • Graphics Driver right click and choose Uninstall.
    • Select the check box delete the driver for this device.
    • Restart the computer after the uninstall is complete.

    Step 2:

Uninstall the drivers of device from the list of programs in the control panel

    • Click Start, select Control Panel
    • Now, click on programs and select programs and features.
    • Find the Display card Driver.
    • Display driver card click right and select Uninstall.
    • Restart the computer once the uninstallation is completed

    Step 3:

Download and install the latest drivers for the graphics card on the manufacturer's Web site

For more details you can see the wire supplied below which deals with the very issue that you are facing.

  • How to connect my Satellite L300 to TV?

    Hello...

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 - 2 4 and want to connect my Toshiba 32HV10E plazma

The tv has a hdmi input, so I bought VGA adapter and connect it to the computer

    Unfortunately, it does not work.

Eventually he s a problem HDMI VGA adapter.
The point is that you cannot convert the analog signal into a digital signal (VGA to HDMI)
You can convert digital to analog (VGA/HDMI)

As far as I know the TV supports a component port.
So, try using a VGA adapter - component cable.

If you want to add an external display, it is not a problem - HDMI is probably the best connector to use.

If you want to add TWO external displays, which can be a problem if your system has Intel or video hybrid.
