Pavilion 17-e119wm graphics card/Motherboard upgrade

I was wondering how much it would cost to replace my motherboard for computer laptop 17-e119wm of Pavilion. I want especially to do it for best game performance. I read the PDF on motherboards compatible but im wondering is it really woth the cost or it's too?

PDF file: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04069163.pdf (just look at pages 14 and 15)

IM interested in the: switchable graphics: ● dedicated AMD Radeon HD M 8670 (64-bit), the package M2, 28 nm, 25 W, 4 pcs of video memory (2 GB VRAM 256 MB x 16, DDR3, 1 GHz × 4 pcs)

● dedicated AMD Radeon HD M 8670 (64-bit), the package M2, 28 nm, 25 W, 4 pcs of video memory (1 GB of VRAM, 128 MB × 16, DDR3, 1 GHz × 4 pcs, 1 GHz, 900 MHz bridge) support for HD decoding, DX11 and HDMI Support for PX5.5 (supported for use on models of computer with Windows 8.0)

or the: Dual graphics: ● AMD Radeon HD 8650 G + graphics card dual 8670 M HD on computer models equipped with a processor AMD A10-5750

I would like to know more information / advice on any one of them please

and side note is worth it to upgrade because of ram 16 GB on other sites it is said that it can, but on this one, it can:

  • HP Pavilion p7-1030 graphic card upgrade help

OK, so I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7-1030, and the graphics card is crap, I need to update something much better.

I know that I'll probably need a new power supply too, if anyone knows a good combo?

Also, where can I find the old graphics card and POWER supply in order to remove and replace?

I'm playing BF3, so it must be good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Zxcvbnm0, welcome to the forum.

According to the specifications of the computer, there is only the embedded video.  It is integrated in the motherboard, so you cannot remove it.  It will be automatically disabled when a discreet card is installed.  Integrated video is never good for video intensive games or other programs.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you more choices of video cards.  You must measure the current PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  Normally, I buy my parts from Newegg.

Here is an example of a good food:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139028

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  I recommend you to stay at 9 "long or less.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

Here is an example of a video card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150561

The PSU is where the power cord is connected.  If you do upgrades, it will help mark the wires of the PSU to make sure that you connect them correctly.  The connectors of the motherboard must be labelled, and more, the wires on the new power supply.

  • Pavilion 500-112eo graphics card upgrade

The 500-112 OA have an AMD Radeon HD 8570 + 8670 D Dual Graphics. I have not found it slow until my wife bought a fancy office with Geforce GTX 770.

I didn't know until reading the plug of envy and 770 GTX how much power needs a modern graphics card.

And I immediately saw that it was not an option for the 300w PSU in the Pavilion.

After a little research I found the ti Geforce 750 to have low power consumption if it works with a power supply 300 w?
I will notice no change in speed graphic?

What would you say of the ti 660?

If anyone has recommendations to improve the graphics please share.

    Hello

The NVIDIA 770 is a huge map that requires a lot of power to run it. I was recently helping another Member with a 770 problem using a custom motherboard high-performance with a 750 Watt power supply. This arrangement could be over kill for your PC.

MSI GTX NVIDIA graphics below 750 cards should work in your PC using a 300 Watt power supply.

MSI NVIDIA GTX N750 TI and the MSI GTX N750 TF if Newegg out of stock then try Amazon.

You will still need to do some research on your own.  You can contact HP Partsufer or HP support and see if HP offers upgrade kits.

  • The HP Pavilion Elite 340uk graphics card upgrade

Hi guys, im using a HP Pavilion Elite 340uk desktop computer that came with a Geforce GT320 video card. The map is gone... dead disappeared and I'm looking for a better replacement. Can I get some suggestions of compatible with my motherboard (MS-7613) graphics cards. ? So, if I change this card with a better, should I upgrade of feeding as well? Thanks for your help.

    Hello:

My recommendation would be to get a GT430... you won't need to change the P/S.

Just make sure you get one with an interface 128-bit for the best performance memory (I think there may be a few models with a 64-bit memory interface).

  • Pavilion e9280t: the graphics card upgrade

I had to spend my original GeForce GT220 graphics card to use at least three 3 monitors so I bought EVGA GeForce GT 640.  When I installed the card, everything was fine until the computer, install the driver and start then computer began to stop and start several times and then stopped at c prompt and siad it is impossible to find a bootable.  Long story short, I had to use my emergency disk and restart the computer.

Then, I started reading Blogs about the HP graphics card chain and one of technology pointed out I should buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and this card will work without upgrading PSU, so I did.  Now, with the GTX 660 computer card keep start and stop and I can't seem to stop.  I spoke with a few outside tech and they said that I need to improve my diet.  If this is the case, then the HP expertise technology was not entirely accurate or I have another problem.

The UPE recommended are: (1) Corsair HX650 and (2) RS-650.  I also read that this MB Pegatron IPMTB-TK does not many power supplies above 550-650 watts.

Can someone tell me what is my computer problem?  Need to pass the power supply and if I do what PSU I can use?  Model and Type to fit properly in the case?

    HP Pavilion e9280t Truckee-UL8E

    Chipset: Intel X 58 Express

Original power output power: 460 Watt

    Hello

The differences between the reference models and variants will vary according to the manufacturer.  See the image below and notice number 6 power connectors that are necessary.  Depending on the configuration of your PC, a GTX 660 can't get enough power to the 460 watt power supply in your PC. As I said earlier, I didn't have a question of power using the EVGA GTX 660.  Graphics NVIDIA GTX 660 cards are border line with some power supplies according to the design of the PSU and the loading PC.

The Corsair CX500, or CX600 would be excellent choices. Note: the power supply fan is mounted upward toward the top of the Cabinet because it will shoot in the air fresh from along the edge of the top side entries.

I think you can use W7 32 bit nForce 430 chipset driver, it might work.

You may need to install the driver manually if automatic installation method does not work.

While I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I can almost guarantee you that nobody will develop W8.1 or W10 graphics card or chipset drivers.

You'd have to roll back to W7, if the suggestion above does not work.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-6c53cl Graphics Card Upgrade!

Is Hello possible that I can replace and update the graphics card for my HP Pavilion dv6-6c53cl? I would like to play some of the newer games on the market, but the graphics card seems to be holding back me. If it's not a way I can replace it, is there a way to make this point without physically replacing the part?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

    Hello

No, you can't, "Intel HD Graphics 3000" is welded to the otherboard. In fact, you can change the video card on almost all laptops.

    Kind regards.

  • Pavilion P6680D: updated graphics card

I have a HP Pavilion p6680d desktop computer and I was thinking about upgrading my graphics card to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 motherboard: Iona-GL8E MS-7613.

It fits and what I need to change the power supply to operate.

    Hello @Kyukyumii,

    Thanks for the quick response!

Unfortunately, I can't make recommendations about these products.  Generally, most of the gaming graphics cards, will have PCI Express 2.0 or higher.  There is always a chance that you will experience reduced performance, based on your hardware.  I hope this helps.

    Kind regards!

  • What graphics card to upgrade a p6120f

I want to update my graphics card, one which should I use?

    Hello

Here is a link to thepage for your Pavilion for assistance. Your motherboard support page is here.

Your PC has a PSU turned on fairly low at only 250 Watts. This means that an upgrade to a video card that has serious care game will require an upgrade of the power supply as well.

Upgrade video cards for your PC must be PCI Express x 16

A video update to card game card requires at least a 6 PCIe connector power pins. It is not present in the original power supply.

  • HP Pavilion dv4-2170us graphics card

Hello guys I have one question though that I got involved me with games now and I bought this laptop

HP Pavilion dv4-2170us about a year ago and now I want to upgrade my graphics card because I can't run games like SECTION 8 PREJUDICE because I'm in the HD graphics which is a really crappy graphics card.

What graphics card I could get for this pc?

I'm trying to keep it under $400 I thank you for you time guys that I enjoyed.

    Hello

It is not really possible to update the graphics card in a notebook the video chip is physically soldered to the motherboard and so for all practical purposes, is not a replaceable component.

    Kind regards

  • P6674y Pavilion: Pavilion p6674y update graphic card

I want to install a new graphics card in my former lodge. I'll add a new power unit - I prefer nvidia EVGa etc usually... does anyone know, or can anyone refer me to a url with this info?  I tried my radeon 5820 and she didn't any what exit, so I stuck in a 500w PSU and a gtx old 9400 for now, which only works for low use.

    @Maggietron, welcome to the forum.

Recent video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The motherboard may not be upgraded in the UEFI.  The last video cards that does not need UEFI were the GTX 660/670. I suggest to contact EVGA Tech Support (1-888-881-3842) to help choose the best card for your system.  They are the experts on their products.   In addition, they can tell you the power requirements of the card they recommend.

  • HP Pavilion G070ca: update graphic card

I'm just curious to know what graphics cards I can install in my laptop. I have the 17-inch HP pavilion G070ca laptop, it uses a processor intel I7-5500u and a nvidia GT940m. I would like to probably the 970 or 980 just wanting to know if people are compatiable with my laptop

    Hello:

There is no removable or stretch graphics card in your laptop.

Nvidia GT940m GPU is integrated to the motherboard and the only way to update the graphics would be to replace the motherboard together with one of those enrolled in the service manual for your laptop model that may have better graphics.

It would be a very costly intensive project work.

Better sell your laptop and one with the graphic solution you want to get.

    Ironbreaker1, welcome to the forum.

I think that almost any video card will work on your computer.  However, there are two main considerations: 1) the amount of energy needed to run the card properly and 2) the length of the card.

You certainly need to move the power supply (PSU).  The specifications of the computer state that the PSU is internal and 180W.  Most newer video cards require at least 400W to work properly.  Normally, I would recommend a block of at least 500W Power SUPPLY; 600W is even better.

Here's a video card that should work, but it requires 400W of power.

I love the Corsair PSU.  They make quality products at a reasonable price.  The PSU is the backbone of the computer, it is not the place to save money.  This is a power supply that should work for you.  It is modular which allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  This more than makes up for the air circulation.  You should check the space provided for the power supply to make sure it will fit.  In addition, make sure that the connectors.
