Pavilion-17-g106nf: synaptics touchpad profile

I'm building a personal profile clickpad then, I load it. This method works correctly.

Each morning, I have to repeat several operations to load again my profile and I loose time to do.

Previously, on my previous laptop, when I change the profile nine clickpad replaced the default.

Is there a solution my profile automatically loaded instead of the original one.

Thank you healp.

Jean.

Hello

Try the following.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

In the run box, type regedit and press enter

In the registry editor, navigate to the following

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

Close the registry editor.

Make the profile setting changes, you need the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

Kind regards

    @BALDAGEI,

    Thanks for posting.

It is possible that there is a problem with the wizard for help where, you may not be able to install the drivers using the program. I would like to troubleshoot the software itself by following the ideas of SuperMario1 in this thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-Software-Recovery/HP-Support-Assistant-Window...

Also, you can try to install the touchpad and the Realtek driver yourself:

-To install tuchpad driver, download and run the following: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-118377-1&cc=ca&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4158&product=5318955&sw_lang=

  • Pavilion 15-n020us: drivers touchpad 15-n020us

I have been clean and update Pavilion 15-n020us of my Dad for him... Thus,.

What's up with the driver for the touchpad Windows 10 x 64 being a pilot of "Alps" (with reset of settings to scroll and others) while the driver for Win 8 was a Synaptics, with all the features?

HP? I think that might be a mistake here.  Yet another Windows 10 fail.

    Hello:

Another Member of the forum has reported this problem to HP.

See if the model 15z-n200 synaptics touchpad driver works on that one.

It has basically the same hardware as the n020us amd.

This package provides the driver that allows the Synaptics TouchPad in the notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The pilot turns the touchpad General (for example, double-click and scroll) feature and provides a user interface.

  • Synaptics Touchpad no longer works correctly

    Hello Internet!

Hear my fate and tremble: I recently updated my drivers from the official manufacturer website Synaptics touchpad.  Before the update I could press twice on the upper left of the touchpad to enable and disable the touchpad.  It is a convenient feature that I have grown very fond of.  However, after the update this feature no longer works!  I'm so devastated...  I really enjoyed watching the pretty light outline of my touchpad to turn to a hurt red when it has been disabled.  I suppose I could return the drivers back to their old form, but I wanted to check if anyone knew a separate fix so that I could have as well the new drivers and the old features that I loved so much.

My model number is: A6Y49UA #ABA

    My operating system: Windows 7

Thanks for your help, I remember you when I am the dictator of the world.

    Hi @El-Nacho .

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

It's a great place to find answers.
You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the HP Forums Learn how Post and more

I see that you updated your driver from the manufacturer's website.  HP recommends that the drivers listed on the HP driver page.  These drivers have all been tested and known to work properly. When you install the drivers of the manufacturing site, they may or may not work properly with your laptop.  Can of OEM and sometimes change a driver so that it works properly with your exact laptop.

Download or update of software and drivers for HP computers

If you don't have a problem with the old driver, I suggest you do a roll back driver.

15.3.11.0 is the version recommended for your laptop and Windows 7.

Here is a link to the driver download page if you need it. HP Pavilion dv6-6c10us Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers
