Pavilion 17-G127DS: creation of recovery on USB

Can anyone tell me approximately how long it takes to create a recovery disc (actually on USB)?  I started it, and it seems that it is 99% for two hours.

It must perform any verification on its own.  It was all I had to do so that he can perform the restore.

Of course, it's Windows, so who knows?

It should finish alone, however, although perhaps after he convinced you he stop doing something useful.  None.

Hi friends, I have a computer hp laptop with window 8 preinstalled. Today, I created a USB stick 32 GB recovery image. In the image of disk recovery pen occupy about 21 GB, but the strange thing is that this process also occupy my equal to 21 GB of disk space (C). Before creating recovery USB key image, my free memory from the disk (C) was 60 GB free but after creating it, drive (C) reduced to 40 GB memory. Is this normal or has done, I made a mistake. If it is not normal that how I can release these 20 and 21 GB on my drive (C).

Process that I followed to create recovery image- as indicated by the hp guide
HP Recovery Manager > under the heading- (I liked to take the measure of security), I chose "recovery media creation
and follow the instructions on the screen... and successfully created the recovery USB Flash key. But my drive (C) breaks down. I don't understand why this is happening because I provided the window 8 with 32 GB USB key to create the recovery image then why there are also equal space on drive (C).
Please help me friends how free up my space of 21 GB drive (C).       Thank you...

There, he is responsible for download Piriform CCleaner, install the same. Restart the computer. Open the ccleaner > there you will get the "Run cleaner" option and follow the instructions of onscrenn. And everything about the reader is done.

When you start the creator tool Toshiba Recovery you will see information on recovery image and USB key, you can use. In my recovery image view is between 12 and 14 GB 16 GB USB key will be right for you.

  • Range of computers HP Pavilion 500: cannot make a recovery disk usb on my new hp desktop computer

HI, I bought a Hp desktop computer yesterday in a store in Alberta.  Yesterday after I bought the computer told me the person in the store to do a recovery with a 32 GB USB disk.  So today, I tried several times to go to the app to create recovery disk provided with this hp desktop computer.  When the application starts it says please wait while a blue bar across a white bar.  So the next thing coming back, he says put your USB drive in and the box has a check in there to copy the recovery partition and it also says to ensure that your USB has 16 GB of storage to the partion.  Then under this window, the next wiich button is greyed or I can not click on this button.   The Cancel button witch. I can click.

What I would like to now that's what I can do to fix this and make me a recovery drive because nobody gave me a recovery cd to go wth this computer.

Thanks for your help is always appreciated.

Equip the USB key before you run the utility to create recovery media and try again.

If the USB is not recognized as a removable disk, then it won't work. The fact that the next button is gray tells me that it is likely that you need to try a diferent of the flash player brand.

There are a number of brands known not to work with the utility. Unfortunately, the most common Sandisk brand, is one of them.   Transcend flash brand work readers

  • Creation of recovery HP on g6-1b59wm Pavilion Media

    Hello world:

I just got my g6-1b59wm Pavilion yesterday.

But when I went to set up tonight I went to burn my recovery using HP Support Asst media.

    I use single layer DVD-R x 16 DVD Memoerex.

I'm going to and start the Application recovery media, through the selection of media, tell him to continue on the media selected/inserted.

It starts with the creation/rally saying fine recovery information, will burn the first disc image very fine in disk verification takes 0% starting just at 1% of full 'IF' I'm Lucky.

And then tells me we have problems with the creation of recovery media that I want to try again?

Initially I have toilet it could be a bad drive so I tried 2 times, same thing has happened in exactly the same place so I don't think it is a bad drive.

    Any ideas?

I finally gave up and oreded a game thinking that it is much cheaper to keep wasting disk...  Any ideas, I would be grateful...

You have done a factory reset via F11 or Recovery Manager installed on the hard drive itself. I guess that the image of the operating system installed on a hard drive in the factory must be bad or corrupt, it doesn't a reset using disks that you have and then create your own discs.

    Hi @Phoenix-1921,.

Welcome to the HP Forums! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

Thank you for posting. I read your post and I understand that when you create the recovery media, it stopped and gave you the message of the one copy can be made. I wanted to help with that.

Due to licensing restrictions, you can create one HP a computer recovery solution. This message appears when the recovery media has already been created. If you bought a previously used computer or store but the computer was already open, then recovery media has probably been created before you bought the computer and this message is normal. If the computer is less than a few years, then you will probably be able to get a HP recovery solution. There might be a fee according to the status of the security of the computer, the country / region the computer was purchased, and the condition that generated the message. For more information, see looking for USB HP recovery disc or HP recovery discs?

Let me know if you need more assistance.

  • "Partition recovery has been deleted" Message in creation of recovery media

    HP Pavilion 2205tx - C5j09PA #UUF G4

    Windows 8 64-bit

"Partition recovery has been deleted" Message in creation of recovery media.

I bought my new HP pavilion laptop G4 two days ago only and has not changed anything in the two players named drive C: for windows and D: for HP Recovery.

now, I want to do a recovery with the HP Recovery Manager software disk.

but it shows a Massage: "Recovery of Partition was deleted" Recovery Media creation section.

in the recovery Partition my computer is almost full (3.26 G 25.5 G is free). so I think that there are current recovery files.

I have not access to HP to buy recovery disk or call support.

    Thank you

I don't know why your PC is saying your partition disappeared - you're right, it seems to be missing. I know that if you use the wizard to help to make your recovery disks backup copies and then ask him to remove the recovery partition to give you more space on the hard drive, it will remove the factory image HP of Windows 8 for the recovery partition and let the normal Windows repair tools.

There are tools, but which allow you to create your own recovery partition full with these tools of Windows repair and a new image of your instalation so that you can restore from that. You can use this tool: Windows 7/8 - creator of Partition Recovery OEM available here: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/21978-Windows-7-8-OEM-Recovery-Partition-Creator but it's a lot of work and it would be faster and more easy just for your data backup and restoration of your HP recovery disks made you from the support Assistant. If you did not the disks, HP can opt to send you a copy... they do not normally this but I read that some people have luck to get a free copy of HP media... otherwise, they want you to buy recovery disks ($40.00). I guess it depends on the exact terms of your situation.

An alternative is to use Macrium Reflect Free Edition to ghost or clone your system. You can then restore your entire system even with your custom programs installed, to the exact state it was when you made the backup image. (this may take several dvd) I suggest that you go down that road because your system with Macrium Reflect restore is much faster than restoring from the HP recovery discs. Even if you do not get another copy recovery disks, you must use this tool to make another backup that you can customize to your liking. Your re - installs will be faster, they will already have your chosen installed software, and you will save wear on your HP recovery disks.  You can then delete the recovery partition to regain this space on your hard drive (since you cannot access in all cases, you will not need this space being taken up).  BUT... you cannot restore Mode UEFI which is what HP comes with. You have to go into your Bios settings and switch in the Legacy Bios mode (which disables the secure boot) FIRST or else the Macruim recovery boot disk will not load to install the recovery image. After the system re - installs you can go back into the bios settings and disable bios Legacy and reactivate if secure boot you want. (Windows 8 charge mode UEFI bios active secure boot or Legacy mode... it's your choice.) UEFI mode will load faster, but it will cause problems if you want double boot the system with another OS) hope this helps.

  • Creation of recovery disks - problems

    Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help me?

I recently bought a used HP Pavilion DV6 (DV6-2110ea - product number: VY095EA) laptop and I have problems with the recovery system.

When I bought it, I managed to recover the system to set up the laptop back to settings by default, and as an afterthought, I tried using the recovery software to see if I could create a set of disks.

I ran the program expects to be told that the records had been created, but the software came with the message that he has split the partition to create the DVD.

After a while, he came with a message saying that the disc 2 of 4 was created and asked for the next DVD.

It seems that the creation of recovery disks never finished original owner and I was wondering if there was a way to start the process so I could successfully create disks.

Any help you guys could give would be extremely useful.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re the above:

I have authorized the creation of recovery software complete two final discs that then created file "hpdrcu.prc" in both the location suggested above.

I deleted the and represented software and it has allowed me to create a complete set of discs.

Whether if they work, it is another matter altogether, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it (again - there's always Linux)

    Thanks anyway.

  • Recovery Manager done accepts not DVD-R for creation of recovery

I am trying to create a set of recovery discs using a new blank 4.7 GB DVD-r, but creation of recovery media reports the following:

"The inserted disc is not supported in the Recovery Manager, please insert a disc (capacity of 4.7 GB) DVD + R or DVD - R blank."

When the "OK" button in the error message display area is selected, the DVD tray opens to allow the replacement of the DVD-R.  This error condition repeats continuously regardless of the insertion of different discs.  In addition, this error condition exists when applications controllable by the user have been arrested, including Microsoft Security Essentials, and Memeo instant backup.

The computer is a H8-1234 running Windows 7 Premium Home 64 bit.  Windows and HP updates are up-to-date.  The hard disk of 1 TB of the OEM has a 17.1 GB D: Partition containing HP_RECOVERY.

How can I overcome this error?  DVD-r do formatted first?  If so, what format Protocol must be used?

    Thank you

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion HPE h8-1234. Please read this recent thread titled "DVD to drive recovery for Windows 7? "Memorex DVD + R, said using different quality Disc." It should give you a few options to try.

  • How to make a backup recovery disk (usb) for my new XPS8700?

    Hello

Please bear with me as I'm pretty much computer illiterate.

I just bought a Dell XPS8700 with Win8.1 for my partner for Christmas.  It came with 2 TB HD cache & 32 GB of SSD.  Round 6 months. from now on I intend to buy a 120 GB SSD for upgrading its system & will use for the operating system.   I do not know how to do this (I have an idea... looked. vids online, etc.), but what I need to know is > how to make a backup for its new computer recovery disk (so that I can put it aside for when I get the new SSD).  I don't even know if that's actually what you still call it (recovert disc?) or if it is called "backup of factory drive?

Basically, I want to put Win8.1 on a USB key so I can use this more later to reinstall it on an SSD.

I bought a Lexar 32 GB USB (3.0) to use for this.

Can someone "please" give me a step by step on how to go about doing this?

    Thank you!
