  I have a HP Pavilion 15 - n090sa laptop computer that has a power on password asked that I can't remove. I read in previous discussions in this regard that, if I try and enter a password 3 times it give me a system off the message with a key hash below, unfortunately I do not have this hash key. So, how can I remove this password.

  Your machine has an Insyde bios, which I expect to produce an 8-digit stop code.

  Others to contact HP, the only other suggestion I have would be to stop the laptop. Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Plug the power adapter (leave the battery for now) and see if you now get to stop after knocking entered 3 times.
