Pavilion 500-056: accidentally disabled my speakers! sound/no

So here's the scoop. My computer (HP Pavilion 500-056) had been broken for a year now, and I finally fixed and reinstalled windows 10. Everything worked well and I was very happy until I realized that I had no sound coming out of my speakers. Through my process of DIY autour, check the cables and the entry and other output sockets, there seemed to be no problem. I went in the sound mixer, and there, I accidentally disabled my speakers, so they don't pop up on the list more! I have no idea how to turn them on now, and I still have no idea how fix my sound. If someone could help pronto, I would be very happy! Thank you!

Hello

If they were just disabled, you can re-enable the as follows.

Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "playback devices".

In the next window, right-click on an empty area and enter a checkmark against "Show disabled devices".

If your speakers are now listed, right-click them, then select activate.

Kind regards

Does anyone know of a specific diet that can fit in my computer case?  Without my ability to be upgraded will be severely compromised.

According to the specs of HP Pavilion 500-056 desktop PC product page, your computer uses a power SUPPLY ATX12V PSU which is 150 x 140 x 86 mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) in size. Please consider replacing it with a Corsair CX500, CX600, CX500M, or CX600M depending on your graphics card needs.

  • HP Pavilion 500-242ea, new computer, but no sound!

Hi, just got my new HP Pavilion yesterday. I started it but surprisingly not his fate. What I have to install anything? Need a speaker? pls advice.

    You are the very welcome.

I don't know of any consumer Office PC which have an internal speaker.

Most of the business offices do, however.

All PC's have a little chip on them which will beep, but that's all it will do.

It won't play any voice or music.

  • No sound on Pavilion 500-118

Set up a HP Pavilion 500-118, for which I had updated the OS to Win 8.1 late yesterday. I went on HP and NVIDIA sites to make sure I had the latest drivers installed (IDT, NVIDIA). Connected to the monitor (HDMI) on the video card (GEForce GT 635) HDMI port, still no sound. Do I need to have an external speaker for audio playback?

    Hello:

You should not need a set of external speakers if your monitor has built-in speakers.

If it isn't then Yes, you will need to connect speakers to it somehow.

I would use a DVI cable to connect the monitor if it is not from the built-in speakers and connect a pair of speakers to the audio Jack on the back of your PC.

Normally, you use an HDMI cable to connect the PC to a TV.

  • Accidentally disabled Windows Vista by default speakers?

Well the little volume icon that appears in the taskbar was not visible so I did:
Start > Control Panel > Sound > playback.

Then I thought that if I turned off the speakers that their licence it would bring back the icon... then once I clicked on disable the "speaker" icon has disappeared from the Read tab, and now I have no sound on my laptop.

How can I get the rear speakers on my laptop so I can get her again?

I use a HP G60 - 125NR Notebook PC with Windows Vista Service Pack 1.

    PLEASE HELP ME!

Note: This is the program of speaker I accidentally disabled:

    Conexant high definition SmartAudio 221

Also, I went into the Device Manager and I still installed on my computer, it's just that when I click it, it says 0 just next to "places". I just need help to return to the tab 'Read'

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! My parents will kill me if I screw up anything here!

    Hey O Rio,

    Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

One thing you can try to start Orb / Control Panel / Sound / the reading tab right click on an empty spot on the window and select Show all disabled devices.  This should show this audio device listed again.  You should be able to right-click on it from there, then select Enable.

Let us know if it gets you to the top and run again.

  • Recommended speakers or TV for HP Pavilion 500-152ea

I recently put a desktop pc HP Pavilion 500-152ea with a 23xi full HD 23 "IPS LED monitor however I discovered that when setting it appears that the monitor have built in sound. I have no idea why, I thought he would have done? In any case, I would like to know what the speakers recommended are for this PC? I wish they have good sound quality for music and play games. I also want to be USB powered only.

If this fails, then what would be the recommended TV to use as a screen with this PC? I'm looking around an inch HD TV 23 ''.

    Thank you

I solved this problem, I had a HD TV from LG.

  • 500-300na Pavilion: problem with Pavilion 500-300na (mother of Memphis-S) - Dead / no beeps sound and video

Hello - I hope someone can help me please

I have desktop PC HP Pavilion 500-300na.
The PC worked very well without problem - I went for a stay of two weeks during which the PC was not in use and power was turned off. I'm back from vacation and the PC does not work now.

When you press the power button, the LED lights up, CPU fan, electric fan and the two spin system fan. There is no video. There is no beep error codes. What is it - actually dead.
If I hold the button for about 5 to 10 seconds, the fans run down, but the rest spinning CPU fan.

    What I've done so far:

    Tried another monitor.
    Tried a different power supply.
Powered by the motherboard on its own with any other disconnected.
Taken the Cmos battery on the motherboard for 1 min and replaced it.
Clean the dust from the fans (they were not so bad as to be honest).

The machine worked with in PCI16 slot video card - I removed this for the test. As I can't get into the Bios, I can't put in the work of the "mother video card." Not sure if it is a problem.
The unit has a strip of 8 GB of ram DDR3 - I tried this in another location without any changes.
I have not tested the ram. I have not tested the CPU or deleted one of the fans / heat sinks.

Thanks for any help you can provide
    Chris

Okay, I think THAT I managed to fix it and understand what the problem was.

I think the problem was double - first of all, before the problem started, Technical Assistance from HP have a BIOS update and download. I think that this update changed the Startup Configuration in the BIOS to "ENABLED" Secure.

Not really a problem. . BUT...

The video card I was running was a riser and secure boot DISABLED neeeded and legacy support ENABLED.

I have reset the BIOS using the jumper (bios password) information – I also did a 'blind' changing information from the bios to switch to the use of the video of the motherboard (bash F10 for 10 seconds at the start, then three arrows down, then two returns... This pass BIOS to "Apply default settings and exit"). I don't know who really helped, but the machine comes up in life.

I put the information here, in which case another experience a similar problem.

  • Pavilion 500-130ed documentation, specifically audio hardware

    Hi all

    I own a HP Pavilion 500-130ed (since Dec 2013), with Windows 8, 64-bit.

So far, I am very satisfied with its performance, but the documentation (on the material of the HP Pavilion 500-130ed) is rather sparse. The specifications refer to 'High Definition Audio 7.1'.

What I don't understand is how can I use 6 channels, since there are IN, a MIC IN and LINE OUTPUT (a blue, green and pink connector) on the back and a microphone and speakers to the front connector.

Anyone can shed light on this issue? Is it possible to actually make the 7.1 configuration possible? (For people who are more technical than me; The PNP device ID is HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_111D & DEV_76F3 & SUBSYS_103C2AF7 & REV_1002\4 & 2DCAAFFF & 0 & 0001)

    See you soon,.

    Sando

    Sando, welcome to the forum.

According to the specifications, the built-in sound is 5.1.  Look at the section titled "Sound/Audio".  Here's a guide to help you with your problem.  It's for Win 7, but I do not think that the BONE has made a difference.  Read it carefully and it should help you.

Please click on "BRAVO", if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • How to clear the BIOS on an HP Pavilion 500-214ed

    Hi all

in a Flash of genius unprecedented I accidentally disabled all the USB ports on my Pavilion 500-214ed. Which now leaves me with a useless system, since both USB keyboard and mouse do not work. So I need to reset the BIOS to factory settings.

I have found the ROM_RECOVERY (E16) jumper on the motherboard, which I guess is that I need to clear the BIOS, but I can't find a manual or something to let me know which jumper settings, I need.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

    Hi, Steve:

Normally, you can find that info on the motherboard plug page but it isn't here.

Have you tried to unplug the PC and carefully remove the cmos battery room and pressing the power button to remove all residual power to the motherboard?

If all goes well, remove the cmos battery will also clear the BIOS settings.

But if you look at the motherboard first, there are no jumpers labelled CMOS and password?

  • HP pavilion 500-141ea

This is probably going to sound like a stupid question as im new to this, but I just baught HP pavilion 500-141ea and I leave there speakers play sounds, but I can't hear anything? I saw that it is said

Audio: High Definition Audio 7.1 this means just the sound of reading or am I just stupid and it doesn't have speakers built in?

    Hello

Your PC turn has no built-in speakers, but you can easily get a set of any computer store (or use a screen that has built in speakers).

    Best regards
