• HP Pavilion 500-321: graphics driver constantly crashing and recovery

  Hello

  I've been instances make more frequent accidents of graphics driver. The message I get is:

  "Display driver stopped responding and recovered."

  Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8 (R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered. »

  When this happens, the screen goes black for a split second and then everything goes back to normal.
  
  It happens every time I play games, demanding or not (could be just Agari.io, for example), or simply to Watch youtube videos. When you play a little demanding games, even with low settings I know my chipset is capable of processing, it happens rather frequently.
  
  I have a HP Pavilion 500-321 with an i5 CPU 4750 and 4600 Graphics Intel Intel chipset on Windows (64-bit) 10. The driver installed is Windows and the site of software & drivers of HP, the last (10.18.15.4271).
  
  Any ideas on the way that it can be and how to solve?
  
  PS: I've done several resets factory and same charges 10 Windows installs, so is not a solution for me.

  I think that I managed to solve the problem by forcing the installation of the original drivers for my Intel graphics chip. I downloaded from the Intel Web site.  HP would not let me do this through the Windows Wizard or through installation of Intel software, so I did it manually after some research.

  I have not seen the error message in more than a week now, not even when playing a bit demanding games, so I think it's safe to say that the problem has disappeared and that the problem is HP drivers in Windows 10.

  I hope that you are able to pass it along so that HP can work towards a solution, if they are not already on this subject.

  I just bought this HP Pavilion 500-282 3/15/15.  I would like to upgrade from the intel hd graphics card 4400.  Also, I would say to install the I3 I5 4130.   How hard would that be? I upgrade the BIOS?  The power supply is 300 Watts.

  HERE IS THE SPEC PAGE for this unit.  It lists the processors i5 which will work with the motherboard, just scroll down.

  The intel hd graphics card 4400 is part of the processor but will be promoted to the Intel HD Graphics 4600 (GT2) with any of the i5 processors listed.  If more than one upgrade is necessary, you should know that food can be a problem and the graphical upgrade with Intel onboard graphics is somewhat a problem, too.  Be very sure, through research, that works in the motherboard video card to the study.   I would like to apologize if this is in the wrong section... I got here by looking at another thread, which ultimately does not solve my problem. I read the same solutions on dozens of different threads and not one has done something to help, so I thought I'd try to ask once again, indicating that I have tried and see if anyone has any other ideas!
  ... I also like to apologize if "jump list" is the wrong term. I mean, it is when I click on my Start Menu, and "Microsoft Word/Excel 2010" icon is the small arrow on the side right does not allow me to click everywhere for what files I recently consulted on Word. I have exactly the same problem in Excel 2010, but No problem at all for Powerpoint 2010 and it seems that programs such as Notepad and so forth are very well as well.
  What I did:
  1. right click on 'Taskbar', click 'Properties', select the "Start Menu" tab, under "Privacy", I checked the boxes ("Store and display recently opened programs in the start menu" and "Store and display recently opened items in the start menu and the taskbar").
  Make a right-click on 'Taskbar'-> properties-> select Menu-> customize-> items recent fact make it appear a list but less it is tab and not attached to the application (which is what I want to xD).
  My original problem was that the list of recent items for Word has not been updated and it was stuck on what he was about 3 months - which eventually prove needless after I lived my computer and deleted, renamed and moved a bunch of word documents! Unchecking the boxes got rid of the arrow completely, and when I checked hide them he refused to reappear for Word and Excel.
  2. I was at '% AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations' all files deleted from here and restarted my computer - ' 1b4dd67f29cb1962.automaticDestinations - ms' seem to be for the word, and I think that ' 3d961d1bb3da929c.automaticDestinations - ms' are to Excel. I have them I deleted, I moved it out of the folder, I renamed them, I sang for them, etc. etc. and every time it did not work.
  This seems to be a really popular solution that works for most of the time everybody... it does not work for me!
  I've also been to '% ' AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations and deleted everything from there.
  3. I checked that related to open different file extensions in Excel and Word programs are associated with Excel and Word. Everything seems to be strong in that Department.
  I use Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and fight with versions of Word and Excel 2010!
  Then... I don't think anyone has any other ideas?

  I emptied two recent used folders but did not work.   Then I fixed my office installation to add/remove programs in the control panel and that did the trick.  I have office 2007 and 2010 installed, but make sure that I only use 2010.  Will probably uninstall 2007.

  Is there a way to increase the RAM dedicated to the graphics chip (Intel 4600)? I would benefit from it? I tried to look in the BIOS, but it is not an option for that.

  @Adrianrff, welcome to the forum.

  No, there is no way to increase the amount of video memory.  The only way to do it is by adding a discrete video card.  In addition, it would require a power supply unit (PSU) upgrade.  The existing PSU is only 300W.

  Open MS Word 2007 > Page Layout > margins, make your choice. Margins custom, if you want more.

  Everytime I open a text document (. doc.txt etc.), image file (.jpg, etc.), multimedia (.avi (.mp3etc.) the associated software with these files is to say windows media player for mp3, pictures etc for windows photo viewer they will not open a window it just flashes on the taskbar until I click to open it in a window or make it full screen) , sound very annoying is there a way to solve this problem.

  This problem does not produce with other files such as pdf, html documents where this info helps.

  Solved the problem, it was a program I installed what was causing the problem called Object Dock by Stardock.

  Recently, I captured a whim of a subject.  A woman with blond hair wearing a black jacket.  Initially, she was going well with the dark gray background and subsequently had doubts.  She asked if I could change the background to a lighter color.

  I'm new to PS and I have a lot to learn.  Is it possible for me to remove the background?

  I'm not an expert by any means, so there might be a method easier or better, that I don't know.

  The best option I have found is using the color range (select > color range) on black background to select all similar black, then deselect parts you do not want to be cut/eased with the cropping lasso tool. Then you will be left with a fairly accurate harvest of just him.

  Here is what it seems that after I've played with him for a minute, with little patience you can do much better.

  Good afternoon everyone.   I have a HP pavilion 500-164, barely a month and a hlaf old, which came in a kind of loop to the HP after a few minutes loading screen, a pink screen came up with a frown face alomng with a message that I have never read coiuld because his was too fast. I now have my recovery disks, but they sent the instuctions in Spanish. I do not read Spanish very well at all. I need to know if there is anythign iNeed know are to make this recovery instructions to tell me if I could read smoothly.   You are the very welcome.

  You do not have an additional drive or in addition to disks 1-4, there is one labeled accordingly.

  Thus, you would have answered no to the question asking if you have an extra recovery disk.

  (1) lower the Bitrate (still still believes a rate much higher than necessary; often exceeding the space on the DVD)

  (2) together 2 for MPEG video allow big screen (option shows black bands and confirms no widescreen)

  Lately, I've been coding components DVD separately, but still requires a new chapter markers when replacing the video tracks.  So I will use again for DVD or separately with DVD Studio Pro.

  1 no problem at all to do this, simply stop using automatic transcoding settings & enter values manually.

  2 - Make sure that the sequence is correctly interpreted as screen 16:9 instead of 4:3 full frame (click right/interpret the film or edit pictures)

  For a Blu - ray player, I would recommend AVC (H.264) MPEG-2 - you'll get two times more content in the same space, it's a more efficient codec.

  Slash screen opens. If you want to create a new style there is an icon small page in the bottom right of the window next to a trash box.   Ok. Here's how I would decide it. Note that there is no slices overlapping. I deleted the background image you can export separately. Change the color of the transparent canvas and export to PNG 8-bit with Alpha transparency format to preserve the shdow drop. If you don't know anything about CSS, it will be better for you to export images and tables of fireworks. Add your background image to a blank page in Dreamweaver. Import the equipment that you exported from Fireworks using the Dreamweaver Insert > Image objects > Fireworks HTML.
