  • If I unplug the power adapter for my MacBook for 5 minutes during the migration assistant will continue the migration or the battery has been disabled in utility mode?

I used the migration assistant to transfer my documents and applications of a backup time machine to my MacBook. I know that I need my wired adapter so that the whole process to complete due to the time it takes for the migration. If I unplug my adapter for 5 minutes the macbook will lose power because of the battery off in utility mode or power will be uninterrupted?

Im not sure he could stop it, but to be sure I would just leave it alone, because if it is interrupted it could damage the macbook and time machine backup

OK, so my question is my AC stopped working and it is not covered by the warranty.
So, I was hoping you guys could put me in the right direction to have a cheap adapter, if off ebay or something...

I noticed that a lot of cards on ebay for toshiba doesn't list my computer for compatiability... I'm out of luck here or?

    Thanks for the help

    Hello

Why you n t throw an eye at the bottom of the power adapter that came with your laptop.
There should be a label with all the necessary information.
There should be a model/part number and you might find some details on the values of Watt, volts and amperes.

The value of the Volt is important. You must use the AC adapter that supports exactly the same value! The ampere would be a little higher, but if you would with google for the part number you will find on the label, then you could buy exactly the same piece!

  • Power adapter for the power of the Russia for WRT54GS & WRT310N

I will travel to Russia this summer... someone knows if one or two of these router can take an adapter for use with different power which would be available in Russia? Thank you

Any decent adapter available at Radio Shack or another source should work just fine, the demand for electricity is very low for this device and the cube of power the power is running continuous for the modem in so the variations in frequency even should have no effect at all... safe travels!

  • Power adapter for HP Pavilion dv6000 AC

Please forgive me if this is covered in another post, but I couldn't find an easy answer elsewhere in the forums.

My sister-in-law lives out of State and think that its power for its HP Pavilion dv6000 adapter is dead although I can't be sure of its description is not the other common problem with the input shorted DC Jack.
I have two power adapters I could post him even if it is the exact HP replacement part.
One of them is an adapter OEM HP Compaq series PPP014H Ref.: 310744-001 and the other is a Targus AC70u adapter.
Will be one of these work safely for his laptop? Are there any problems I should warn him?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer on this issue.

310744 001 is for the dv6000 and work

  • Power adapter for Toshiba Satellite M40X 129

    Hello guys,.
hope this is the right forum to post my question in:

I have a Toshiba Satellite M40X 129 (model No.: PSM4XE-01600CGR). My adapter is buggered so I need to get a new one. Bought the machine in Germany, now am in Tasmania / Australia. Being in a camp of the Valley remote until April, I won´t be able to go into a store with my laptop to try and understand, that the AC adapter / CC is suitable. We have internet here as our only communication, it is very important for me that sort.

Can someone tell me, what type of adapter / power supply is planned or where to look?

    The one I ve been before is a LITEON, part No.: PA3432U-1AC3, model n °: PA-1750-09, input: 100-240V, 50-60 Hz, 1. 5 a, output: 19V, 3. 95 a.

Thanks for your help and have a nice day
    Peter

    Adapters for your Satellite are:
    PA3432U-1ACA
    PA3432U-1AC3
    PA3432C-1AC3.

Put this number in Google and you will find very precise specifications.

By the way: If you already have the old adapter specifications I put t understand why you need some additional info. If there is no possibility to buy again until April, how do you get a new one?
    Sorry, but I m confused.

  • Power adapter - HP PAVILION DV7-3150EQ

    Hello

I bought the HP PAVILION DV7-3150EQ, and it stops itself almost instantly after the initialization of the operating system (just at the moment where the HP Setup programs starts). I have two suggestions for this topic:

    1. the CPU heats too quickly and the protection of the motherboard turns on and off the computer.

2 in the specification of the product, I noticed the power adapter must have 120 W power (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01997646), but I received with adapter 90 W (adapter fault current may have been replaced by the Distributor, I don't know), and what I think, is that it does not provide the computer with enough power so it shuts down. What I mean, is there a strict rule on food and their use adapters (specified model should be used with the adapter specified etc..)

Can you guide me I just think, or there might be another problem.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply erico.

I was looking for an explanation on the closure and the motherboard overheating protection seemed reasonable to me. I was wondering is this a common problem or I am luck one of perhaps hundreds of thousands made notebooks with Core i-5?

I removed the battery and left it on the power adapter, but it's the same thing.

I did not understand you completely clear. You mean that even with less powerful adapter(>120 Watts) the laptop should work well, and the battery should be charged, but for once more. Or should I contact my supplier and only get the right adapter (120 Watts).

    Best regards

Contact your provider and ask so he could be replaced by the model in the specifications of the laptop. The 90 Watt power adapter will work, but this isn't what has been specified to be included in the purchase.

I suggest that you try a hard reset

Remove the battery and the AC adapter.

Press and hold the power adapter for > 15 seconds.

Plug the power adapter (with the battery always off)

    Press the laptop power button.

Your laptop is now boot into Windows?

    If it is not then

Press the power button and press the F8 key to enter the BIOS.

If you are able to enter the BIOS and make the memory test.

Please post your results here in your thread.

    HP laptop shutdown document.

    Best regards
