My office is connected to a router from verizon.

all my other devices are wireless and work correctly through the same router.

I have connected my laptop to connect to the local network, disabled wifi and access to the internet via a lan connection.

By using the device manager says pilots checked, updated, also says it's working properly.

I had to to the command line and can ping google.com.

I can ping the loop around. ping127.0.0.1

I did the ipconfig/release, ipconfig/renew and ipconfig/flushdns command

ipconfig/all indcates it is present and active

My connection to the local network is part of the motherboard.

can not access internet through wiredconnection.

Don't know what to do next.

  • Cannot access the internet with WRT54G hung Hughsnet Satellite HN9000 modem

I tried to configure my router to work with my Hughesnet HN9000 satellite modem WRT54G and my desktop tray.  I have a Gateway PC and am using Windows XP. I had worked in the past but came out the router for a few months when my portable wireless is dead. Now, I can not the desktop computer to access the internet with the router in place so I can set it up. The cables are all plugged in right. Cable from the modem to the internet port on the router and the Router 1 port Ethernet cable or 4 for desktop.  I cycled all over and outside. I can access the internet fine if I have the modem connected directly to my computer so I know that I have an internet connection. Hughsnet says it's the router. Because it is out of warranty, I can't get any help from Lynksis. I ran the set up disk Lynksis. I suspect that error messages I receive it has something to do with the IP address. But if I can't access the internet how can I do anything with the IP address of the router?  I'm not very experienced when it comes to the routers and network settings. Anyone has any comments that could help. I should be able to figure it all out if I can get just the router connected to the internet. . Thank you...

Thanks, I found the problem. The Ehernet cable plug was defective. It would work on the Satellite modem, but not the router because of the localities of diffétent and different stress on the card. Changed the cable and everything works fine now.  Thank you.

  • Cannot access the internet with bridged network - Windows 7 64 bit host, XPSP3 comments

I use VMPlayer v3.0.1 build-227600 on a PC under Windows 7 64-bit. My guest operating system is Windows XP Professional w/SP3.

I read all the messages on the use of NAT for the guest operating system can access the internet. But when I do that my guest is unable to access my Oracle server on my network. If I use Bridged my guest can access my Oracle server, but it cannot access the internet! How can I fix it? Shouldn't VMPlayer allow the guest OS to access the network and the internet? I need these two features.

    Any help would be appreciated.

the simplest solution would be to add a second NIC to your comments, so that you can have bridged and NAT at the same time

  • internal hosts cannot access the internet w / L2L configured tunnel

The internal hosts behind the ASA cannot access the internet with a configured tunnel to L2L. The L2L tunnel is mounted and passing traffic correctly. However, the internal host cannot access the internet through the ASA. I think I have my NAT watered somewhere. I can't even a host statically mapped to the internet. It might be because I'm used to having a WAN IP to the external interface which differs by the CIDR block assigned by the ISP. In this case, it's all together, with the ASA outside interface occupying the first available address.

We have been assigned a CIDR range x.x.x.64/28. x.x.x.65 is my front door and my first usable est.68, by the PSI (I guess what they utilisent.66 et.67 for internal use). External interface of the ASA est.68 and I'm trying to get NAT others. I'm Polo all DHCP clients internal and have some static entries as well. Below is the relevant NAT config. Yet once, all traffic passes above the tunnel properly, but not from inside to outside. If more information is needed, please advise.

  • a computer laptop, internet is accessible only if proxyserver offline, my office internet is accessible with the proxy server. without him we cannot access the internet.

I am faced with a kind of strange and unusual error. in my office, the internet is accessible with the proxy server. without him we cannot access the internet. However, there is a laptop computer on which some time the internet is accessible only when I leave the proxyserver only on that machine... any idea?

    Hello

    Work on a domain environment?

Changing the proxy settings is something that you usually only have to do if you connect to the Internet via a corporate network. By default, Internet Explorer automatically detects proxy settings. However, you may need to manually set a proxy with information supplied by your network administrator.

If you are on a domain environment then please post the question on the link mentioned below using:

    Hello @jerome256,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums, I would like to draw your attention to the HP Forums Guide first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you are having a problem with your WiFi and wanted to help you!

You are trying to access WiFi through router?  If you are connected to your wireless network, but cannot access the internet, then the problem may be with the router.  Check that the router is connected to the internet.  If you have more than one router, then you can ensure that you are connected to the correct router.  You can also try unplugging the router for about 30 seconds, and then reconnecting it.  Please consult the following document, as it can help solve the problem for you:

HP PC - Troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 10)

  • Cannot access the internet on a network Windows XP when Windows 7 goes to sleep

Original title: Windows 7 Windows XP network problem.

I replaced a Windows XP computer on my node 4 (2 PC, printer 2) cable network with a Windows 7 computer.  When the Windows 7 computer in mode 'sleep' the other (XP) computer cannot access the internet.  A message appears that there are 2 computers with the same IP address.  If I wake the computer 7 fine.  That is what it is?  I agree not all files between the computers.

    Hello

It is usually the case when, for example, a router is off, but one or more of the devices connected to the router are left on.

The devices to retain the ip address assigned to them, but when the router starts up again it has no knowledge of this. If when you start one of the other devices, the router can assign an ip address already in use. Concrete example that I reproduced with my router and the PC...

    • Start the router, then boot PC1 and PC2 - the router (192.168.1.1) will allocate for PC1 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3 to PC2
    • Turn off the router, then turn off PC2, restart and shut off again
    • Put the PC1 to sleep
    • Start the router and PC2, the router does not PC1 and allocate 192.168.1.2 to PC2
    • PC1 to wake up and there still 192.168.1.2 who now is a confrontation with PC2

Other ways to reproduce this situation may also be possible.

All devices on your network must have a unique ip address, where the warning message.

If you get this situation once again, the solution is to turn off all devices, including the router, then restart the router, then restart all devices connected to the router.

To avoid this, you may be able to put ip Reservations for your router address which will ensure that all devices connected to the router always get the same ip address (unique). If you are unsure how to proceed, we will need your router brand and model to help.

  • Vista Home Premium gives the message "linked to limited accessibility" and I cannot access the internet.

I have Vista Home Premium and trying to connect to a WiFi spot, I get the message "linked to limited accessibility" and I cannot access the internet. I understand this is common for Vista and there is a fix for this problem, but want to make sure that I get the right one and can't seem to find anything referring to this issue on the Microsoft site

    Hello

This problem happens only when connecting to a particular place for the WiFi?

You can follow the suggestions and check out them.

    Method 1

    You can read the article.

Message when a device on a Windows Vista-based computer uses a network bridge to access the network: "connected with limited access".

    Method 2

Try to uninstall IPv6 on all interfaces, the removal of virtual cards of IPv6 and reset the TCP/IP stack. To remove the IPv6, go to the properties for each network adapter, and deselect the check box next to the Protocol "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6), which will turn off, or select it and click on uninstall, which withdraw power off the computer.» Then go into Device Manager and remove any 4to6 adapters, adapters miniport WUN or tunnel adapters.

NOTE: You should do this for each network connection.

If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attack.

  • How to access Windows 8 PC on the Internet with remote desktop connection?

    Hello

Can someone tell me how to access Windows 8 PC on the Internet with remote desktop connection?

I'm good with the software and I have used many Microsoft software since the 1980s. So I like Microsoft products, but since they have outsourced their tech support, you can't support quality even if you pay for it. I followed all the instructions in the Windows 8 will help about DRC setting screens, but I can't connect unless I'm on the same home network. Here are the details:

I have a desktop PC with Windows 8 Pro and I have authorized the DRC. I tried two settings in system properties:

    1. Allow connections to this computer remotely.
    2. That allow the connection of computers running Office remotely with authentication NLA.

I also turned on both private and Public Windows Firewall settings > allow an App or feature through Windows Firewall.

I have installation then DRC to my laptop with Windows 8 (standard edition, not the Pro version). I have a DRC using the full name of the computer and other DRC using the static IP address for my ISP Desktop connection.

I use the user account administrator Windows for connections of DRC of the laptop.

I cannot get this to work on the Internet from a location outside my house with another ISP connection. The only way it works if I'm uncomfortable with the laptop using the same network home.

I called Dell tech support and it is always useless and just a more aggravating waste of an hour to talk to their support of technique outsourced in India (who barely even understand English) and then they hang up the phone as it was supposed to be disconnected. I also called Microsoft support and lost more than an hour to speak to their outsourced tech support in the Philippines (and as support of the India, they hang up or 'disconnect' when they cannot answer your question and they go account learn you more about Windows while they do). U.S. tech companies use AMERICANS more for their technical support so their customers can get people who actually care about doing a good job and can actually understand English?

So if someone who knows using Windows 8 for DRC on the Internet has some tips, then it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!!

P.S. If anyone is offended by my comments about the ugly, incompetent, stupid providing "technical support" in India or the Philippines - Nevermind! You go ahead and waste hours of your time talking to some Morón in these countries, who barely understands English and then 'disconnects' the call when they know that you realize that they are clueless and have all the answers.

Take a look at no - IP.com or dyndns.com, and then use your host.domain:3389 of no.-ip/dynDNS or run RelaVNc SErver that is running on port 5900 by default.  Server options allow you to change the port as well if necessary.

  • Other users cannot access the Internet

I'm helping a friend with his pc and she and her husband have their on user accounts on Dell Dimension 8400 with a Verizon FIOS connection.  We were above to delete a message and then she went into the internet and the lights went out in the House and back but now she cannot access the internet.  Her husband can in his story, but she can't.  I tried to create a new user to see if it has been altered for the failure, but still cannot access the internet.
It opens the Web page but does not display anything, and freezes.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • cannot access the internet after upgrading to firefox 30.0 on windows 7

After the upgrade to firefox 30.0 on windows 7, cannot access the internet. FF 30.0 works OK under Vista

Sometimes it's because of your security software thinking that the upgrade may not be legitimate. You can consult this article: problems connecting to websites after Firefox update.
