• Replacement motherboard for Pavilion a6110n desktop PC / BIOS version

  Newbie here.  After reading on various forums and watch clips of youtube, I think I can do this.  I'm no expert, as experienced folk you will quickly realize. But I messed up with computer hardware installed in the past.

  Problem: my screen froze, accompanied by groups of small lines dotted migration across the screen. Upon reboot, the screen is black and all off.  The monitor works on another computer; However, the computer monitor displays No Signal when connected to my computer.

  I went through the troubleshooting guide "monitor or TV is empty after starting the computer" on this site.  Nothing has worked - at the end it says replace video cards or a Service.  I decided that my computer has no se video card.  but that the video is built into the motherboard and that is what needs to be replaced.

  The Board of Directors is NARRA2-GL8E, M2N68 - LA, Ref. HP 5188-8534.  I can quite easily replace the Council itself. I want a PLUG-AND-PLAY solution.  But what I've read is that, unless the replacement AND the version of the BIOS card is exactly the same, some BIOS reconfiguring is necessary, and that's what I'm a little uncomfortable with. I found a Board to sell with the 5.10 Version (6/23/2007-Phoenix).  Problem is without a video signal, I can't tell what version I have (my original BIOS version somehow traceable by serial number? Pavilion a6110n, System #GG718AA, S/N CNH71903LB, Best Buy bought 23/11/2007).  For what it's worth, I also found (on this site) is only a BIOS update for my computer: 2007-11-09, Version: 5.13, 1.36 M

  If I have no way of ensuring plug-and-play, I'll probably go ahead and fork over the dough to a professional because I'm worried about messing with the BIOS with no prior experience.

• Pavilion a6750f Desktop - new & FREEZING already

  I just got my a6750f, and I had weird problems with freezing/hanging.  If I leave the computer on and the screen saver comes in and works for a while, when I move the mouse to return to work, systems is frozen and I have to restart.  I already had the problem during the transfer of the data from my old PC to the new.  There is a large amount of data, so I let the executed transfer, and it essentially stops transferring data.  I try to cancel but the computer ends up freezing and I need to restart.

  I'm wrong, or should it NOT be the case with a brand new computer!

  Go to control panel-> Power Options and change your power plan to High Performance option. Please post your results. Some motherboards have problems with Windows Vista and "standby" mode. Change the option to sleep forever. Change turn off screen forever. These are also things that have to be made if you also want to defragment a disk.

  I just bought an a6750f desktop PC & laptop G60-235DX within the past week. On both computers, when my wife & I try to use the right mouse button to click to copy & paste text or links, it won't work. If I just right click nothing highlighted options watch box, but all the text options (base paste, forward, copy, etc.) can not be clicked. It comes in all programs & websites. I checked options of mouse under Control Panel & Device Manager & he said that everything works well on both computers. I also tried checking the solutions on the Microsoft web site without success. Vista Home Premium is on both computers. Any help to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated. The left button of the mouse works fine on both. Thank you.

I need to move from a Windows 7 Home Premium to Ultimate, in order to encrypt my dirves using a system of encryption bit locker, built in the end of windows.  Are there problems that I need to know?  My HP bios to the original address software has been created to SATA, and it me prevented to use Sophos or control point software of encryption.  I have changed since my bios setting.  Will be little work locker?

  I believe that you will receive more specific information if you contact Microsoft Customer Service.  I think it should work, but can't be absolutely certain.

  I have the HP Pavilion A670Y desktop computer and was thinking of upgrading the graphics card GeForce 9100 integrated to a Radeon HD5850 and adding a new power which would allow this change. Power side is there a reason that my office would not be able to support the Radeon HD5850?

  It's your motherboard.  Make sure that the slot next to the PCI-E x 16 card is open as 5850 is a wide double card.  Your PC has only a 300 watt PSU so 5850 is only in need of a much larger power supply.  Look at the 12 + rating required by the 5850 and then choose the new modular power supply.  Buy not only on power alone.

  Your PC has a practice of small Tower and the 5850 will consume more power (wattage) compared to your existing integrated video processor which means more heat. Be prepared to deal with this issue.  The 5850 is perhaps too card for your PC.

  Don't forget that your PC system BIOS is up to date.

  Open your Pc and clean all the dust. Then a measure of your current diet and buy one that is modular with almost the same dimensions.  Then measure around the PCI-E x 16 slot to make sure that the card fits.

  Review the specifications of performance ATI and NVIDIA . Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

  I realize that you may have about the reset of the BIOS, but I think you should try to work first of all through the process on this page. HP - computer desktop PC won't start not (Windows 10.8)

  Then if you still have questions, I would recommend you restore your previous operating system, a feature that allows 10 Windows when you install an upgrade; You can restore 29 days.

  I took a quick glance to your HP Pavilion dv7-7001sg Notebook and worried with what BIOS version, you should be on. Your f.0Une system as of March 1, 2016 is the correct version, you should have.

  Are you sure of that model #?  I found it listed hereandhere as a PATA/IDE hard drive. Not a good choice!

  That being said, here are my suggestions.

  You need an internal Sata DVD + RW (there be DL mode) and the necessary cabling. Power supply not having a spare power cord Sata, but it wil have the molex 4 pin. You also need a Sata data cable.
