Pavilion a705w recovery system

You want to do a complete system restore before giving the computer to my friend's daughter.  Was told by HP support by phone that there is no disk recovery available for this model.  There is no HP Tools program in the program menu, and the only other option available... by pushing the key F10 repeatedly at boot up... does not work (tried at least a dozen times).  Assistance would be appreciated.  In case it is necessary: Serial # CNC4440HDT; System number: PJ562AA.  Thank you in advance for the support.

Here is the site to get your recovery disk

If all else fails, go to www.tigerdirect.com for XP full version disc

Good luck

    Hello

I'm having some problems with the system Rocevery Options on A300D - 14 d

I installed Fedora 9, BUT did not uninstall Windows Vista. I mean, the computer now has a dual boot.

All these files on system always here. That hide the partition where is this folder and some files recovery system called HDDRecovery is also there.

Fedora works fine and I can access the all files Vista system, but if I choose Vista it restarts the computer while loading the OS. If I choose the Options of the Rocevery system, I got:

    * + The installed program cannot start. Click OK to turn off the computer. + *

Indeed, he turns off the computer if I click OK.

I also tried to install Windows XP, but after checking, system installation just stops at a black screen and won't forward.

Is it possible to do a startup and system recovery disk? Do not forget that I can't start Windows Vista.

    Thank you

    Hi again,

It is resolved. I was getting an error 0 x 24, which I couldn't see before because the error of the report was disable.

I downloaded the Windows Vista Recovery Disc available [here | http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/] and he picked up the system.

For sure I am now a recovery DVD. I didn't know that this laptop has a system of recovery only inside the HD.

  • Partition recovery & system NB250-108

    Hello!
How can I recover/reinstall the SYSTEM (e) partition on my NB250-108 because I did something stupid and messed up my SYSTEM partition (E :) so that no software resides in this score now.

The information I want is what should be the Partition sizes for the DATA (d) and SYSTETM (e), what software should I have installed under the SYSTEM partition and is at - it all URLS where I can download it from, this software also must be made bootable? (for recovery system etc.).

Please note: I'm still all software should I under the partition DATA (d :)) and its single partition SYSTEM (E :) software missing.) I hope not to have to pay for the recovery DVDs!

Thanks a lot for your help and your suggestions.

No, you can't download the image of Toshiba.
If you want to install the Toshiba Recovery disk image, then you must order the CD from here:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Then you would be able to reinstall the image of Toshiba, but for this you will need an external USB CD/DVD drive.

    The other possibility.
You could install a fresh Windows 7 operating system with a USB key.
To do this, you would need something like Wintoflash

Need driver can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page

  • Pavilion g6 2301AX: System Restore doesn't work is not on the new HARD drive

My factory installed HGST HDD is not short DST check, so I bought new internal HDD of WD5000LPCX. I did the recovery DVD windows 8 long ago and tested several times.

The problem, I do face is, after I ran the system recovery (insert all 5 DVD then restarts Recovery Manager), I get the error "No found bootable media" when the legacy support is disbled. On activation of legacy support, begins the phase of installation of driver, but after a while, my laptop is stuck in a reboot loop. I left it for half an hour but he kept just reboot.

Guarantee of the laptop is long gone. New installation of Windows 7 has worked well, showing everything goes well with the material, but I want my Windows 8. Help.

He resolved myself: had to convert the GPT MBR partitioning system.

As this community seems inactive, I'll post like how to convert to GPT:

NOTE: You will need any installation of Windows DVD for this. I used Windows 7 DVD.

    1. first activate the legacy from BIOS support. (Press F10 to enter the BIOS settings)

    2. Insert the Windows installation DVD, and then press F9 to change startup options. Boot from the CD/DVD drive.

    3. once the loads of installation, select the "Repair Windows" option, located at the lower left corner.

    4. find the command prompt and run these commands:

    DISKPART

    LIST DISK

    SELECT DISK 0

    CLEAN

    CONVERT A GPT

    OUTPUT

5 reset. Disable the legacy from BIOS support. Now the recovery system will work without any problem.

  • Update portable drive to SSD, problems with the installation of operating system and recovery system

Compaq Presario CQ71, (model CQ71-317EA) portable system, Windows 7 family 64 - bit edition

Hi, I tried to upgrade the original 320 GB HDD to a 256 GB SSD.

After that replacement of the naked NTFS hard drive to SSD format, I tried to do a "factory restore" using the DVD, I created some time ago about recovery. The DVD started and recovery program ran very well, first menus for recovery/system control etc. The problem is that the program would not be allowed a resumption of the plant as the HDD was little different/more than the installed hard drive to factory.

This is the point I'm stuck at, I reassembled the original hard drive while I find a solution.

Is it possible to find a workaround to avoid having to order a new disc of Windows 7? Any help and advice in terms of simple-ish would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello:

If you can still read all 25 characters of the product key of W7 on the bottom of your laptop, you can make your own plain W7 x 64 Home Premium installation media and use the product key to activate the installation.

Download the applicable version of the W7 from the link below.  Use the SP1 media files regenerate.

    http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/14709-Windows-7-Digital-River-direct-links-multiple-languages-x86-amp-x64/page59?p=470600&viewfull=1#post470600

Then use this tool to transfer the ISO file downloaded on a key USB 4 GB or DVD.  The tool will make the DVD or drive bootable flash as well.

  • spontaneous recovery system popup

My new ATC Aspire works fine as far as I can tell.  However, when I played a game installed on my C: drive (which I often play), an Acer recovery system is spontaneously popped up. I clicked it, there was a screen that prompted me to OK a factory reset, though I would lose all my C: drive. Of course I cancelled.

For me it seemed to indicate that 1) I had asked this reset, which I did not, or 2) the system has detected a problem that caused the need for the recovery to run system, which I don't think I do since everything works perfectly.

Should I worry about this?  That this has something to do with the fact that I booked 10 Windows?

    kcasey,

I'm sure that this popup tries to remind allows you to create a recovery drive USB Acer factory default.

I strongly encourage you to do so immediately.

I have two TC-605 and my neighbor has a TC-605.  Some TC-605 requires only a 16 GB USB flash drive while others require a 32 GB USB flash drive.  So I would say get a 32 GB USB flash drive.  They are around $9.00 to best buy.

No doubt create a USB key factory default recovery before upgrade you to Windows 10. (And your acer applications and drivers on a backup DVD too)

Edit: If you do not create a backup default factory USB and something breaks down the road, fresh Acer $ 45 to get the default value of the factory recovery disks.

    Hello

    ·         Are you referring to restoring the system or restore to factory setting?

I suggest you visit the link provided below for more information on system recovery option in Windows Vista.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista

If you are recovering system of built-in hard drive, then you may lose all data on the system but you will not lose the hotmail account as it is stored on the server.

If you are referring to the system restore option then you will lose all data in the system, but you may lose the application that you installed after the date to which you restored the system

For more information about system restore, see the below given link

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-system-restore

In case you're talking about restoring factory setting then you will lose all data on the system and your system would be restored to factory settings.

PROBLEM - I'm at the Nicaragua, and HARD drive is sent to my friend in the United Kingdom who has to post it for me (as explained by HP UK guys by phone). In fact, it's on the way. • OneKey Recovery System killed my S10-2

My S10 - 2 has been seen frequent random restarts. I thought to use OneKey Recovery System since my file system may be damaged. Unfortunately, the restored process has failed and I had to manually shut down the system.

Now, at the start, I just get a white screen with this message:

"Remove the disks or other media."  Press a key to reboot ".

I can't boot into Windows, or even to re-run the process of OneKey.

is the dead S10? no warranty left.

I should not have used OneKey Recovery System. I was just very frustrated with the random reboots and the thought of all reset the original factory settings and start Win7.  now the S10 has met a premature end.

    Thanks for any advice.

Apparently, onekey recovery system wiped out my existing operating system.

have to reinstall a new operating system.

  • Resolved on Pavilion P6267 recovery problem

You probably will not see my previous post because I think that I added it to a question, rather than to make a post - you know how we newbies are. I was able to solve the problem of not being able to make a pf my Pavilion P6267 recovery because I got was a black screen when I pressed F9 at startup. I found that, under control panel, recovery, recovery tools advanced, there is the possibility of creating a recovery disk. The option supports only USB memory sticks, so had better have a couple on hand :-) Of course I didn't read it that closely at first, and I jumped my CD in the drive and waited, waited and waited. Then I went back and read that he needed a memory stick. Boy, I felt stupid. Well, I think I'm getting better started on recovery. I have to stay up tonight until it is done, the necessary program installed, the database for this program on one of 5 external hard drives and the latest medical data for 2013 entered in the database because my husband wants to do taxes this weekend. Since we had more than $20 000.00 sundries (right, the company paid more than $ 1 million), we really need to be able to get this information back, then quickly, so that we can apply it to the tax return. Have a nice weekend - after finding this recovery option, the mine will be certainly more pleasant it looked like about 30 minutes ago! Janice
