  • ProBook 6570b: VTx is enabled in the BIOS but does not work

    Hello

I use ProBook 6570 b after update, with Win 7 Profesional 64 b (a second) i'm running a bios F.62 Rev.A April 7, 2015, that I got from HP support web site. I activated the VTx in bios but its seems that this is not enabled (the Microsoft virtualization detection tool used).

I turned the PC out to the battery, expected 15 min, upgrated bios 2 x and it still does not seem to work.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi, it fixed by uninstalling Avast antivirus, does not help turn it off, you must uninstall it.

    Thanks anyway

  • <-not solved. HP Pro 6405, AMD - V enabled in the BIOS, but win7 pro 64 bit, it detects not

So, I have virtualization enabled in BIOS, and I tried like hell to get the Microsoft HAV tool to detect. This isn't.

VirtualBox does not detect it either. In fact, the tool from AMD (AMD-V_Hyper - V_Compatibility_Check_Utility.zip) does detect too.

It's the broken BIOS from the manufacturer?

Isn't it necessary a patch applied to Microsoft to fix this, or is HP responsible for setting their own products via a new updated BIOS?

And, before you post a reply, Yes, I went to the BIOS, security options, the value of virtualization "activated", recorded and then turns off the PC for 30 seconds before restarting it.

I get emails asking me what was my solution...

    Here it is:

I replaced it with a completely different PC. I took the original piece of crap, loaded by default, and he sold to one of my clients who didn't need the service VM.

I ordered and based on Intel 3400 Pro series, compatible Intel VT - x and it worked right out of the box.

I lost too much valuable time on this AMD System. It is broken,

To HP, you and your technicians have no idea how to solve this problem, because it cannot be resolved. I will not replace more motherboards, processors and any other nonsense you keep sending me to Exchange. This model is broken from the outset and I advise anyone who has to ask for a RMA and replace the product Intel.

    So this is my solution.

I'm trying to get Android studio works on my 360. Everything is fine until you try to run virtual device/emulator.

This does not work because the Virtual Machine is required. When I looked in the BIOS I was surprised to see this small handbook has the functionality that has been disabled.

I now activated but still not detected by the software. Can anyone help with this?

    See you soon

The problem was Avast antivirus. I uninstalled and hey presto, intelhax went very well.

  • After a clean install of Windows Vista, Intel Wifi card is installed and activated, but does not detect the network.

Wireless card not working after a clean install of Windows Vista

I did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium on my HP Pavilion of 32 bits. I've completely updated Windows via Service Pack 2. Given that the clean install, my wireless card, Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, was not able to detect all the networks. The Wifi card is listed under NICs as being installed and activated. the hardware on my laptop Wifi switch is set on "on" and the light is blue, indicating that the card is working.

I can connect to the internet if I connect physically my computer to the modem with an ethernet cable wireless, so the modem isn't the problem. Other computers can connect to the wireless modem, so my Wifi modem functionality is not the problem. The problem with my computer.

I tried to uninstall the Intel driver and reboot my computer with the generic driver. Install the driver generic, but my wireless card has not always worked. I then ran an update of windows, nothing helps.

I tried to install the "Intel® PRO /? Wireless and WiFi Link"drivers for Windows Vista (32-bit 13.1.1.1 the latest version and the previous version 12.4.4.5 32-bit) for the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN directly from the Intel Web site at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+WiFi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Wireless+WiFi+Link+4965AGN. The map didn't always work with a driver.

In addition to the pilots, I also downloaded a tool of diagnosis of Intel (Intel® PROSet /?) Utility of WiFi wireless connection for Windows Vista 32 -? Bit). Said diagnostic tool the WiFi card is not installed or enabled, however, Device Manager maintains that he is also installed and active.

Is there a problem that causes Device Manager to say that all is well with the card, but does not map to realize that they diminish the radio signals? Everything's fine, diagnostic, it just does not detect networks around him. Help, please.

    Hello

    The on/off switch actually works?

Since it is an internal adapter to ensure it is enabled in the settings of configuration/F2 (BIOS/CMOS) often like you
Start - so look at the screen.

Have you tried the computer on other WiFi networks? You had a WiFi type problem before the

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • HP Pavilion P6 2388e, is double chart enabled on the motherboard?

Hi, I searched all over the internet for answering this question, but I can't seem to find anything. I contacted AMD on the activation of a hybrid crossfire between the A10 AMD integrated graphics card and my very small discrete graphics (Radeon HD 7570) they said that it was possible and between two fires must be enabled in the catalyst control center. However, there is no option on the catalyst for crossfire control center, which has lead me to the ask the quesiton is able to run crossfire and if so is it even on the motherboard? If it is not on how to activate it?

    OS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

    Motherboard: MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine)

Based on the specifications of your computer and its motherboard, this model does not support the "hybrid crossfire. According to the specification, this model does not support the use of the integrated graphics card if a graphics card is installed.

  • Controller RAID Pavilion sees reinstall my biggest records according to the OS, but Windows does not.

I removed the two 500 GB drives orginal my Pavilion CTO (set at the factory in a RAID 0 configuration) and replace them with two WD Velociraptor 1 TB drives.  I started from my set of recovery operating system (3 DVD) discs and restored the system.  The restoration wrote to one of the disks.  After completing all the starting tips for first time Windows, I ran the utility Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) and rebuilt the RAID 0 volume, taking the option to keep the data residing on the first hard drive.  The accumulation of volume took several hours.

The bishoprics of controller RAID Intel than drives are drives of 1 TB, and it built a 2 TB RAID 0 volume.  However, even after restarting a few times, total area of 1 to 7 see only Windows on the C: and D: (original image) logical drives, rather than the actual volume of RAID 2 to.

How can I get Windows to recognize the larger volume?  Is it possible, or is the 1 TB capacity 'wired' somewhere in my system?

Note that throughout this process, I left "Mode SATA controller" = "RAID" in the BIOS.  In view of the fastest 10 K rpm Velociraptor readers, I am flexible concerning the RAID 0 configuration; two independent readers would be OK, if Windows would recognize their actual size.  So I did a little experiment: I started in the BIOS, change 'Mode SATA controller' = 'IDE', registered and you leave.  The system starts only a car config, so I started another set of my operating system recovery disc restore.  He rewrote the operating system to one or two hard drives (who knows), but then the system would not start, probably because the disks are connected to a hardware controller RAID Intel physical and will therefore work mode controller BIOS to "RAID".  I recycled power, entered the BIOS and changed the mode of controller to "RAID".  As suspects, the system unbootable, so I now have to reinstall the OS with the controller in RAID mode, but before that, I want to determine if there is a way to get Windows to recognize the size of 2 TB.

Thanks for the advice; always nice to know some utilities, we didn't ever existed.

As you suggested, I run Diskpart and cleaned the second disc (instant).

Then I went to control panel > administrative tools > computer management > storage > disk management.

I clicked in the unallocated disk area second on the graphic display and went through the dialogue to create a new volume and assign a drive letter.  Pretty painless.

Then, an "Autoplay" window open on the desktop, and there was my second 1 TB drive.

    It's a wonderful world.

Now, I just have to remove all the bloatware, apply the updates Windows and HP of 3.5 years, reinstall and reconfigure all my apps, reload my data, make some adjustments and call it a day.

    Thanks again.

    Hi, Tom:

Use the W7 x 64 drivers of th is model g6.  For graphics, simply use the graphics driver AMD, Intel, not one.

  • Intel VT in the Bios of the Satellite P200-13F disabled?

    Hello

I just bought a toshiba Satellite P200-13F and now I discover that the Vitrualization can be turned on in the BIOS.

Can someone tell me if Toshiba plans to release a BIOS with this feature supported? I want to use the machine for virtualization with XEN.

    Thanks in advance,
    Michael

    Hi people,

I think toshiba hasn´t integrated into the bios again. Maybe the option is available because the bios images are perhaps a chipset manufacturer, but they just didn t allowed them cause they did not apply all the routines of VT in the bios to handle VT-stuff of the Chipset/CPU.

It's just a really wild theory on VT in computers laptop toshiba and I Don t know when they will do so and release a bios where you can activate it.

    Welcome them

I tried today and the system has shown that it was already installed. I looked at C drive and it shows under bin SWSetup\sp66805\0183AF26. I have no idea what it means. It shows a date of 17/06/16 as installed. I looked into this for a while, but I know that I have not installed it.

I do not understand why information system still shows: version of BIOS Insyde F.25, 29/05/2013 if it is supposed to have been updated.

Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I understand that your Bios has updated but still showing the old version, with your HP Pavilion g7-2017us Notebook. I'm happy to help you!

It is very strange, as the updates only I see available in the Software and Driver Downloads page were dated 1 March 2016.

    Hello!

So, I have Virtualbox. I want to install Windows XP 64-bit in there. I own a copy. Before that I have upgraded to Windows 8, there was an option for 64-bit. Now, there is not.

SAME FACTORY OF HARDWARE/SOFTWARE AS, EXCEPT NOW WINDOWS 8.

PS: An Information System .nfo file is located here. Please, if there is no serial number I ask you not to use them for illegal purposes, for example, HP supports, saying that my computer is stolen, etc.

EDIT: Sorry for the confusion, I also want to know if I need to do something to get Virtualbox allow VT technology. It does not now. Also, I read that 64-bit requires a VT

Hyper-V prevents the installation, execution of many other technologies of virtualization on Windows 8, so I suggest you to try and disable the Hyper-V technology.
