  • HP Pavilion dv 9500

My pc has a microphone that I can't go to work.  I can get an external microphone to work by plugging it to the Jack on the front.  I can't find any instructions or advice on how to activate the microphone internal.

I tested the external microphone using sound recorder in the Programs/Accessories, and it works OK.  However, I can't get any response from the internal microphone that is permanently installed because I can see beside the built-in video camera.  Can anyone help please?

Thank you for your interest for my problem.  I saw another answer on the forum what verification suggested for Microsoft updates I did.  Bingo, after the installation of several updates that my microphone started working.  Maybe it will work for others too.  Thanks again.

    Hello

I don't see a problem in using a SATA 3 with your DV9500.  I have used and tested three SSD (Samsung EVO, OCZ Vertex 3 and Crucial C300) on my DV9700.

Back up your data and the external support of HP Recovery allows to recharge the SSD.  The whole process is quite painless.

so I think I have problem with my videocard geforce 9600 m gs

now, my monitor doesn't ' t do any action when I try to start my laptop.

    so my questions are:

the problem is that in my video card or can be damaged more like in my motherboard?

and if that's the problem that in my video card can I change?

If I change it is going to be the best choice to replace, I want to say I do update and if it is possible that video card will be the best choice for this?

    so I tried this

I formatted my hard drive with the hp restore disc and I made a new instalation of windows. Then I have upragraded with all the drivers that are available from HP.com and the result of all this is that now I can not start my mobile or later when it starts I see nothing other than a gray color...

  • Creating a back up problems

I'm trying to back up my files on a CD in case I need them to restore my system files. However, I am not able to do. My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv 9500 - (dv9620us) and my OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit. When I insert the disk into drive F: to put in shape. (I don't know why I have to format the drive) I never had on the previous backup drive. A message window appears and indicates the disc is write protected and this is what I get.

Can I reinstall my OS if my F: drive does not write or recognize a CD drive? I was able to back up my files in the past, but all of a sudden I encounter this problem. If reinstallation is recommended, I'll be at the risk of losing all my files? Is there a setting that needs to be changed? Can what steps I take to remedy this?

I recently downloaded Norton Utilities 15 of Norton Web site. This would have something to do with my F: drive is not not able to write?

I recently bought a Seagate Free Agent GoFlex 1 TB to back up my laptop, but I also want to save copies of my files on a CD. The external hard drive is a better choice for a backup system.

  • HP Pavilion 9500: Supported wireless card doesn't work is not in Windows 10

I just bought a new card WiFi Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 to my PC HP Pavilion 9500/entertainment because the original a (WiFi Link 4965AGN) is no longer supported on Windows 10. I have the Driver IRQL NOT LESS or EQUAL (Netwlv.64.sys) BSOD a few times a day.  According to Intel, the Ultimate_N 6500 is a supported card, but once I installed it, it will fail to start; He told me that my network card is not taken in charge and remove it please.

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!!

Then, you will need to return the o/s supported to ensure that the equipment works as I have said, you use what works for her, not what you want. What you want and what works are the two different side of the same coin.

I guess the easy option would be the easiest route to take. I wasn't going for simple, I expected a little more creative way to solve this problem; workaround to allow W10 supports my original legacy wireless card or a way to remove the restrictions on the white list by HP to enable my new card.   It seems that this is not the right forum for this.

  • HP pavilion slimline s3632me graphic card problem

    It's my computer: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01552288 & lang = to & cc = us & conte...

my graphics card has a fan that is not working, and I don't get any signal on my monitor after 20 minutes of start... so I decided to get a new graphics card which is better.

so I want to know what is the max graphics card that I can put in this computer and should I go for the same type (AC express graphics card) or get any type that can work with the computer?

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Slimline s3632me desktop computer and its card mother M2N61-AR (Acacia). Based on the specifications, this model has a power of 160 watts, a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS PCIe x 16 HDMI and DVI - I outputs and integrated nVidia GeForce 6150SE graphics with a VGA output. Note that the discreet graphics card and the built-in graphics card is not usable at the same time.

You need to replace the graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS PCIe x 16 with a x 16 low profile PCIe graphics card (the card must have a power system recommend assessment of 160 watts or less). All purchased card that has a higher recommended system power supply requirement will require the purchase of a new power supply, follow the recommendations in cards. Your computer's power supply is not a standard ATX power supply and can be difficult to find.

  • Pavilion Elite M9300T: upgrade geforce 9500gs

I have a Pavilion Elite M9300T KZ854AV #ABA with CPU Q9300, 3 G of RAM and 750 GB 7200 RPM / MIN SATA 3 GB/S HD.  I want to improve the memory, the operating system & video card.  The current map graphic is a NVIDIA Geforce 9500 GS - 512 MB.  I don't do a lot of game but with Cyberlink Power Director 12 video editting.  Extremely slow rendering video during editing.  Is there a map 'step-up', I can go to without having to upgrade the POWER PC block?  Looking for some recommendations on the new cards.  Currently have Vista Edition Home Premium - 32-bit but want to upgrade to W7 Pro - 64-bit as part of the upgrade process.

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

The reason why I give you a recommendation of the video card is for the reasons I said.  Most of them won't be better than what you have, and it is difficult to find a retail map that will work with your power supply 350W. However, I talked to Technical Support EVGA (1-888-880-3842).  He said that the cards that are compatible with your motherboard 2008 are limited.  He recommends is an EVGA GT 640.  I recommend you call their Tech Support to ensure it will work with your motherboard and BIOS.

  • Can I switch my a6755d 9500 GS GTX 295 gpu?

    Hi guys, newbie here.

I recently bought a hp pavilion a6755d desktop computer and went generic vs brand. Specs are decent with core 2 duo e7300, bus 1066 MHz front end and 6400 PC 4g ram. It also comes with a CPU graph nvidia 9500 s so there is a x 16 pci-e expansion slot used by the latter. I think the upgrade to the gtx 295, after the upgrade of the power supply 1, 000w.

My question is: I don't know the specifications of the expansion slot, and if it's going to be a compatibility issue (I'm not sure that pci - e 2.0 x 16 means as specified in gtx 295 and what is the specification of the model of my camera, just what the textbook says is pci-e x 16). I would like to know if it's possible to do, or I would encounter problems.

Thanks in advance to those who will highlight.

First off you should not worry so much about the rating of the PSU, it's the amperage that is important.  The GTX295 requires a 46 combined on the independent 12v rails and 680w amps.  These reference numbers are based on a system fully loaded with an Intel Core i7 965 Extreme Edition processor that you have not anywhere near power intensive.  Unless you plan to go Quad-SLI in the future I don't think you need such a big power supply.

If I had your configuration and plan your upgrade I would look for a brand name "80 plus" PSU 650w - 750w but with 50 to 60 amps on the 12v rails.

Another problem I see is that most 1000w PSU is VERY deep.  Definitely check the dimensions of the PSU before buying.  And now you pay a premium for more than the brand 700-750 Watt PSU.

Check out this link to see how many watts is in fact using your system, I think you will be surprised:

    http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

And all the 200 series reference (GTX260 - GTX295) Geforce cards are double wide slot and 10.5 "long.  It should fit in your case.

BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS YOUR CPU WILL BE A IMPORTANT bottleneck BOTTLENECKS to A GTX295 and probably every 200 series GPU.

  • Problem with installing a graphics card on a HP Pavilion p7-1534 Please HELP!

I just installed an older Nvidia Geforce 9500 GS to an older hp Pavilion model in this new office of 64-bit Windows 8. After installing the card, I turned it on and it started beeping and blick orange (never done that before) but I was persistent and after about 5 beeps, he stopped and started correctly. It took more than usuall at the start, but I was persistent and waited. Finally after five minutes, he did to my login screen, so I knew the graphics worked because I have it connected through HDMI instead of DVI integrated graphics. I then connected, he then became black and the computer started a sound signal and go to orange. I left it before and IT's GONE RIGHT BACK to the DISPLAY of CONNECTION! I logged in and then new, and he won in the windows 8 home screen. When I went to see if the computer can reconise the graphics card, that I have, it says that it is returned to a predefined graphics driver from AMD. I've then preceded to download the drivers for the Nvidia Geforce 9500 GS of site Web of Nvidia and had to reboot the computer. I restarted the computer and it still says its on the base driver and cannot tell me what graphics card is plugged. ALSO NOW ME GIVES a MESSAGE EACH TIME that I IT ON THE SESKTOP SCREEN START saying that the AMD drivers need to be made into or something. Help, please!

    Hello:

You must go into the BIOS and enable the legacy mode and disable start-up secure when you install an old video card on a PC under Windows 8, or you get pre memory error beeps video or no video at all in some cases.

See the link below for more information.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03653200

Should have uninstalled the original video AMD drivers before installing the 9500.

I remove the card, start the PC and uninstall the AMD graphics card and drivers in the Manager device, turn off the PC and then reinstall the 9500.

I am computer literate, not a computer scientist and have done a good amount of home working on logistics for the 2 drive configuration, but I hate surprises.

Will it get the required specific drivers of HP before installation or the installation of Win 7 disk will take care of this for me?

I have the system recovery discs, which are for Win Vista OS but I think that they only work for the original Vista installation.

    Thanks in advance

Here's the original specifications for your desktop HP Pavilion Media Center m8517c. The HP recovery disks only returns the computer to a factory State... including Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit, drivers and HP provided software (BTW, recovery disks cannot install an SSD). If you want to do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro, skip using the HP recovery discs.

Some drivers may be installed by Windows 7, and you will need to download the remaining drivers from the manufacturers of different devices. Intel for chipset drivers Realtek for network and HD audio, NVIDIA for graphics drivers, pilots etc. If you have any questions, find the right drivers please post (text only) Windows Device Manager "Hardware ID" for all missing or unknown devices as shown in the example below.
