Pavilion DV5-1110em: Base System Devices on Pavilion DV5-1110em Windows 8.1
I just upgraded laptop to my Windows 8.1 father he had bought after finally abandoning with Vista. While I realize that it is not an option for support on the HP site, it installs and runs almost perfectly. However, in the Device Manager there are three entries 'Base system device' and an 'unknown device' under 'other devices '. The credential of material for the latter are:

Someone is able to help me find the right drivers for these devices, or at least help me identify them so that I can then try to track down the drivers?

Not found base system device driver
Recently, at startup, I get an error message 'Base system device driver' not found. Windows cannot find the driver appropriate to solve the problem. I use a laptop Presario F756NR with Windows Vista (32-bit) OS.
I checked the 'properties' of device and find the bus 2 PCI, device 5, function 2.
Under status: this device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
There is no driver selected for the item or a set of device information.
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click on reinstall.
Click on reinstall just made sure another Windows search found nothing.
I tried to download sp38689.exe with NO result.
Help please!
Hi, Bob:
It's all part of this card reader controller stuff.
I suggest that you do a right click on any card reader devices and select uninstall.
If there is a check box to uninstall the driver, these boxes too.
Restart the PC and if the drivers do not correctly install, download and reinstall the card reader driver.

Pavilion dv6645us after you have installed Windows 7 ultimate x 64 no drivers for base system device
After you have installed windows 7 ultimate on my pavilion dv6645us laptop, I can't find drivers for base system device, location: 2 PCI Bus, device 5, function 2. Also for another device of the Base system, location: 2 PCI Bus, device 5, function 3, I can't find the drivers. And I have a unknown device, location: on the system as 'good' to ACPI Microsoft. (I don't know the English translation).
The only thing that does not work on my laptop, I noticed is that I can't write data to my external hard drive (WD essential 1 TB NTFS), I can access the drive and get the data off of it, but when I try to put my computer on the outside driving my laptop goes down (it reacts with difficulty (, all usb devices are disconnected and I have to manually restart the computer by holding down the button for 5 seconds).
Is this a known problem and the most important is there a solution for this?
Thanks in advance.

HP Pavilion dv7-3190em problems with volume band and "base system device" in Device Manager
Hello
I just installed Win 7 (64-bit) and my volume control does not work properly. It does not turn the sound up and down, but the blue band is not displayed on the screen.
In addition, I seem to have a device or devices for which there is no drivers apparently. They are listed as "base system device" x 3 in Device Manager and "unknown device" x 1.
Thanks for any help.

Download and install:
MediaSmart SmartMenu here (version 3.1.2.2 for 32/64-bit Win7)
Before installing this software, that you must have installed at least a MediaSmart package software. The best choice will be in my opinion:
MediaSmart DVD here (version 4.1.4328 for 32/64-bit Win7)
If you do not use any additional software you can use another product that is:
3VRX here (version 2.5 for 32/64-bit Win7)
Note:
Here is YouTube video that shows what can be done with the 3VRX software.

base system device and a HP ev2210 1xEV-DO Broadband Wireless Module as well. Missing driver
Your search: I have a laptop Pavilion dv2500tw CTO. I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Home premium. Now it shows 2 missing base system devices and a HP ev2210 1xEV-DO Broadband Wireless Module as well. Help
Note: Mistakly I delete the partition system (Win Vista) when I clean install win 7 32-bit home pre.
Hello:
You need this driver for the base system device.
You can try the Vista driver for the card broad band. There are no Windows 7 drivers for it.
If the Vista driver does not work, you can see if this driver windows 7 works. I don't know whether the pilot includes your model too or if it's just for the 2400. This driver appears on the history tab of revision for the HP ev2210.

Base system device is not installed.
After you have installed windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dv6700 computer, I get an indication of error as follows: the Base system device driver is not installed. Install the latest driver for the device. When I try to do what it cannot find the driver (in line or computer). When I tried to dig to find answers, I think it's on 9 PCI bus, device 9, function 3. I confess that I have no idea what it is. Also 'sleep' is not functional. Maybe the two is connected. Can someone help to solve these problems. HP support doen't seem to have drivers for windows 7 on my model. My problem is that I don't know what the device is and how to get and install the driver.
Base system device of card reader, install the card reader driver Vista.
