Pavilion dv6-3126er: disable Synaptics TouchPad Popup Images

Is it possible to get rid of these images that appear when I deactivate/activate my touchpad?

Their appearance is also accompanied by usb insert/remove sound although I disabled all the system sounds on my computer.
The installed TouchPad driver is most appropriate Driver Downloads page.
I could not find such an option in settings available.

I unchecked Synaptics Pointing Device Driver in the list of Startup items in the systemSetup. Helping to get rid of images and sounds, and the TouchPad still works and can be disabled and enabled, but the driver settings became unavailable. This obviously isn't a very good solution and I don't know if it's acceptable on this forum , but the result is exactly what I need, and you can always get things to how they were allowing the driver to load at startup.

    Hello

Someone at - it an idea how to move again the function "Auto Disable Synaptics Touchpad when USB mouse is connected.  I found an old entry in a forum that referenced changing a setting in the registry hex 33, and implied that this would make the OPTION become visible in the mouse settings in the control panel.  But it just seems to disable the touchpad while. So I guess that Synaptics have changed things since this 'solution' was published in 2009, I think. .

I have W7 XPS and version 15.3.22.0 for Synaptics Touchpad driver.

    SOLVED SOLVED SOLVED!

All - I read through it and many forums and have found no solution. I thought of it on my own, so I'm happy to share with you!

This solution applies to those who do not have a touchpad disable button F button at the top of your keyboard and have the Synaptics driver which does not show the option to disable the touchpad when the external device is present. This also applies to those where the registry key update does not work (because it didn't for me).

    Here is the solution.

    1. go to the Dell site and get the latest driver for your touchpad. Install it.

    2. Once installed, go into c:\program files\synaptics\syntp in your windows Explorer.

    3. open the program called DellTpad.exe (there is also a DellTouchpad.exe called - do not use this one)

    4. Once opened, click on device settings.

5 and here the old box is down! Just click to make it active and it works like a charm.

    PROBLEM:

The TouchPad works but the light that is usually lit when the touchpad is turned on/off (white/orange) does not work.  I was wondering if there is a way to fix this, or there's someone else with this problem.

  • Disable Synaptics Touchpad tap to click through registry?

I have a laptop HP-G60-553NR 3 year and enjoyed with a Synaptics Touchpad (OS is Windows 7 64-bit).  I use the latest & greatest, driver recommended by HP:

    2009-08-28, version: 13.2.2.0 has

This driver no longer works well at all (erratic click functions, unstable, moves through the screen on its own, etc.), but there were no other updates from HP and uninstalls / reinstalls multiple set.  After a ton of frustration, my only solution is to download & install the latest Synaptics driver:

    2013-02-25, version: 16.3.15.1 (Windows 8/7/XP/Vista 32/64-bit Edition)

In principle, it worked well and the stability is back, but with a problem; I lost any opportunity to change the Touchpad settings - and with this driver, Tap-to-Click is ENABLED by default and I want to turn it OFF.  I lost the "Device settings" tab in the control panel there are long (not), but there was also a mini-outil of support which could be installed/activated in the system tray where I could switch tap to click power.  This option is no longer possible because if I install it, it reverts back to 13.2.2.0 driver.

My dilemma: 1) I can't go back to the old driver because it's a disaster.  (2) I need to stay with the new driver, but I hope to find a way to disable tap-to-click.

I see only three solutions: 1) maybe the gurus of HP or some of you who monitor these forums are aware of a more recent version, stable driver that works with my particular model or 2) someone can instruct me the keys in the registry, turn the tap to click on/off so I can turn it off myself (, or 3) use external mouse all the time (which is hard to do when the mobile).

Synaptics doesn't give any support and simply tells the user to 'contact your manufacturer', so here I am.  Any guidance would be appreciated.  In addition to this problem, my laptop is rock solid.

    Thank you!

    SOLVED!

I continued to try to solve this problem after the validation and finally found at the level of the program folder Files\Synaptics\SynTP.  I noticed there are several requests here, so I started to run them one by one.

SynTPEnh.exe is the latest version of the mini tool, "Synaptics Touchpad Enhancements" that I had used.  It offers the possibility to load only once, or allow to load at startup in the system tray.  Left click + functions simply open the Control Panel, but right click + displays the appropriate menu where I can uncheck the tap to click.

I hope this information is useful to others, because there are like mine all the ' web on several different platforms.

  • Pavilion dv6 synaptic touchpad disable the shortcut no longer works

    Hello

I had a few problems with this computer, tried everything finally uninstalled and reinstalled windows (7).

I used to use the shortcut fuction - double click on the upper left corner of the synaptics touchpad to turn it on and the.

Because windows was re-installed the shortcut works more I can't turn it off! typing is horrible cause I keep hitting the button accidentally and my mouse goes everywhere, but I need to turn it on as well for when I do stuff on the show without the mouse.

I think the guy who re-installed windows for me disabled an option because I cannot get the biometric finger-key thing to work now.

Please someone tell me how to activate the shortcut touchpad option on! I looked under "mouse" in the control panel and tried to search for "touchpad", etc. "synaptic" in the start menu;. but no dice.

Please, this is driving me nuts (taken as 20 minutes to write this)

    Hello

First, download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55107.exe

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, If you see an entry for "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver", right click and select uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

Now, you need to configure the touchpad as described in the HP document on the following link.

  • Pavilion dv6-7014nr: Synaptics touchpad has ceased to be recognized! NEED HELP URGENT!

I was using my laptop for general browsing today and she left open for about half an hour to attend to other things, but when I came back, I found that the touchpad had stopped responding completely - the two buttons and the trackpad. The touchpad no longer appears in Device Manager.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver Synaptics touchpad of HP Recovery Manager and the Web of Synaptics, company site restarts in each case, but nothing helps. After each restart, however, I received a pop-up message in a program, I install it, TwoFingerScroll saying "Synaptics touchpad device is not found! This program caused no nay problems within two years, I've used. The touchpad, also, has never had any problem.

It was, as I said, a development suddenly. Fortunately, I had a USB mouse on the spot so I'm managing it, but it is imperative that I solve what I am a student and have to present my final thesis in a week; It threatens to derail my efforts completely.

  • Touchpad not working not not on Pavilion Dv6

I am increasingly frustrated with my Synaptics Touchpad, which is not working properly and I can't find a solution. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the latest drivers and still have not solved the problem.

Orange light in the upper left corner of the touchpad, is constantly bed. In the past, I had to double tap this light to toggle the touchscreen function for the touchpad. This no longer works and the light is constantly on.

The function ' Tap to click on ' my touch pad is no longer work. All other functions work fine and I can use the buttons at the base of the touchpad to click, but I can't press on and select something.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 default off touchpad?

Often when you type on the HP Pavilion dv6 cursor spontaneously jumps to a different location, it's because my hands did with the touchpad.  Tapping the upper-left corner of the touchpad twice disable it. What is good; However, I do whenever I get on the notebook.  Is there a way to set the touchpad to be 'off' by default on startup, so I don't have to take steps to disable all sessions?  I want to be able to activate the touchpad at will by masking tape in the upper left corner.

    Here is the solution:

    Select:

    "Control Panel".

    'Hardware and sound '.

    "Under"Devices and printers"select"Mouse"
The 'Mouse properties' dialog box is displayed.

    SELECT: "TouchPad settings" tab

  • How to disable the touchpad in windows 8 - Pavilion g6

How to disable the touchpad in windows 8 - Pavilion g6

    Welcome to the forum, Sally.

There are several ways to do this - method you choose may depend on what you need to accomplish.

    Follow a few ideas.

    • A double tap farm in the upper left corner of the touch pad if it off for a single session.

    Enable / disable

Control Panel > display icon > mouse > Settings of TouchPad > click on "enable TouchPad.

They continue parameters to install and configure the TouchPad as you like it...

    ==========================================================================

A method that works with the pilots 'old', it is a failure of session by session...

Make sure this setting is ON / CHECKED:

Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

() repeat) TouchPad settings (button) > click tapping >

    Click the shimmering blue wheel

In "box to Disable TouchPad settings".

CHECK "Double Tap to activate / disable the TouchPad.

In the 'Action in the upper left'

CHECK "Disable the TouchPad during a session.

    Close

    Ok

NOTE that, if it is available on your version, you can select to "turn off the TouchPad" - that's fine, unless something goes wrong.  You could get stuck without your USB mouse AND no way to return to the setting to activate the touchpad.  I don't know if I would use this setting.

    ======================================================================================

    Next...
Latest drivers (V16.x) have the ability to disable the TouchPad / click on the keypad with a setting on the main page 'Settings' when a USB mouse is used.  This is a very nice feature.

Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

CHECK "disable the pointing device internal when the external USB pointing device is attached.

If you want to be alerted and see a visual cue of disability >

TICK "Animated icon in the taskbar" >

and make sure you have your updated task bar notifications so you can see the view of the mouse.

    =====================================================

    I hope this helps!

    1. just to be sure, check the stop code (64680447) is correct.

    2. If the stop code is correct, stop the laptop, remove the hard drive from start and try entering the code again, preferably through an external keyboard.
