  I upgraded my windows to 8.1 - 64 bit and after that I found my HDMI port and Bluetooth does not work, since this page, I have Download Intel high definition (HD) Graphics Driver that complete the installation with an error that says:

  Maybe your model didn't need driver wireless button.

  The dv6-7000 models require this driver running W8/8.1.

  Most of the older models do not use it, but I didn't know where the break was.

  I just guess that maybe that was the problem.

  Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

  I have rarely, if ever use bluetooth, so I have zero skills of troubleshooting for bluetooth.

  The Link Cyber you Cam my, HP Pavilion dv6-6149nr Entertaiment PC, computer stopped fuction. When I click on the icon to open the webcam the screen has a pop up that States that there is no webcam attached. In Windows features, I learned that the device works properly.

  The ONLY icons on the screen for the webcam that fuction is to select the photos only, only, video or photos and video. The buttons remove and e-mail work, but NOTHING else.

  I contacted the people at Cyber link Web Cam and have not yet obtained all the councils that solves the problem.

  I traced my hard drive and that did not work.

  With the flash player and support installation of W7 in the machine, boot from the installation of W7 media.

  After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

  You should now see the storage driver files listed.

  If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

  Follow the prompts and I hope, will install W7.

  The photo on your screenshot shows that the Broadcom wireless card is present and functioning properly.

  So, if you are unable to connect to the internet, unfortunately, I won't be able to help you with that.

  I use a hp pavilion dv6 7078ca for about two years now. A few days ago, he showed me a B90 error at startup. The error was on the cooling fan will not work correctly.   I reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 7 Premium Edition on a HP Pavilion DV6 laptop after changing the hard drive failed. My first attempt at the time. After installing all the drivers I could find on the site of HP, I was up and running, but done Windows Update always looking. I tried all the advice, suggestions and driver downloads, I read it, but nothing works. Windows Update Standalone Installer cycles constantly as well. Almost everything I download to fix this problems requires stand-alone Windows Installer for installation. Coincidentally, Windows Defender does not update either.  Can someone help this newbie?   I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3150ee. my original hard drive was broken. I bought a western digital 500 GB 5400 Sata 2.

  I installed the hard drive and made the recovery. Everything went well past and ok. When completed recovery operation, the system has restarted to continue the installation of hard drives but I got this message: no boot device insert boot disk and press any key.

  so I went to the bios and tested the memory and the hard drive and all was ok. I tried to get into my bios, advanced options, but it isn't everything. My bios version is F.12.

  I don't know what the problem is, and I will be thanksful for any help.

  N.B: I have my recovery discs and my windows repair disc.

  The new hard drive sometimes requires to prepare first with utility cd from Cyberlink. Download and save the file. Once the download is complete, place a blank cd in your drive and click on the file to create a boot cd. Start with this cd and wait until you get a green check mark indicates the hard disk is ready. Remove the cd, insert the first disc of recovery and restart the laptop.

  I'm looking to upgrade the RAM in my HP Pavilion dv6-6153EA. I checked the support pages, and I opened my laptop to check if there was a spare RAM slot, and there isn't. It takes a max of 8 GB of RAM, so since I already have 4 GB can I buy a 4 GB module.

  The reason why I took it's because I used the auditor part of HP and they told me that they do not have my RAM part number more, but I could buy a different version that would work (part number: 641369-001), but they are charging my £64 4 GB which is crazy. • HP Pavilion DV6 questions intermittent of wireless connectivity.

  For the last 6 months I had serious problems with my laptop. It uses the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 wireless card.

  The problem is that every 30-45 seconds it will drop my connection. It happens so often that it is impossible to fill a simple speedtest, and even less sign up for classes or watch a video.

  Then to find my internet connection I have go troubleshoot, resolve some random error, it appears, wait two minutes, sacrificing an animal and then try to use everything I was doing. As a student who doesn't have access to a wired connection on a regular basis, it is a major PITA. I wish I could just get a new computer, but it is currently not in the budget.

  I thought that the drivers were updated so I found on the HP website and downloaded but they were 2012. I hit the update (while in the Device Manager) and it updated to a new two months (as expected by Intel) but the problem persists.

  I started my computer in safe mode and the wireless worked without any problems. That would point to what is a compatibility problem with other programs rather than a hardware or driver problem?

  Any advice would be greatly welcomed, because I literally lose. I very desperately need this computer for school and can afford a new at the present time (and frankly, I'm rather fond of this computer).

  Edit: The driver concerned from the Intel Web site: 15.13.0.2 published on 22-07-14. As far as I know, this is the most recent.

  I understand that you have difficulties with your internet, but which is working fine in safe mode. This would indicate that something which is loaded in normal mode is the source of the problem and will require a bit of the investigation. If the hardware does not work safe mode, the hardware is fine, the problem is elsewhere.

  You can have a go at this page and see if something helps you:

  Troubleshooting your wireless network and Internet access (Windows 7)

  One other thing to try, as an experience is to temporarily disable the firewall. I do not recommend doing this for a while, just as a check to see if it is part of the problem. If you notice he's working, then I would look at either uninstall the firewall then put it back in place, or restore it to its default settings. It really depends on the firewall you are using.

  See if you can activate the card using the connection manager software wireless.

  I don't know if removing and reinstalling the wireless card will make a difference since it is recognized in Windows and seems to be OK.

  Hello and thanks for posting back.  In this case, what I would suggest is to do a system restore to where he worked.  If that doesn't fix it phone support for your laptop repair options.

  Personally, I'd go through the stages of tests and check the router and the ISP before this step.
