  • Laptop Pavilion g6 troubled cooling fan

My laptop (1c58dx g6) guard stop and gives me an error message on the cooling fan. The fan has completely stopped working or slowed down a lot. It's more as it comes up for a second and then stops completely for a few seconds again and again. I don't know if that's how the fans usually ruin if they are blocked or not. So, I spent all last night holding my cell phone out to join fan cooling to clean junk out of it and then put it back together again. It's not like there was there to cause problems, but I cleaned to the best of my ability without taking the fan itself out. However, it was without result. The same thing happens again. Do you think that if I took part the fan that I could find and remove the Junk incriminated in the fan, or do you think the problem is something else? If you disassemble the fan itself can help, could you tell me all instructions on remove and put back together, again please?

    Hello @BL00 ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you have some problems of fan and are wondering how to remove it for better cleaning.

Here is a guide who can guide you safely remove the fan: HP Pavilion G6 Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service of Guide. You will find the steps begin on page 77.

It might also help to go through this document, but it seems that you already have most of this: reduce the heat inside the PC to prevent overheating.

In fact, you need to replace the fan altogether. References are available in the guide above and you can find them among a wide range of online providers. If your laptop is still under warranty, you can also contact the HP support by phone for parts or service options. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. • my laptop HP Pavilion product g7 #A7A43UA #ABA cooling fan is not worki

My cooling fan does not work properly and I have already installed the new version of the BIOS HP Pavilion product g7 #A7A43UA #ABA can I use a fan to minimise damage?

hope someone can answer my question thank you

    [s/n removed for privacy]

How old is your machine? It is under warranty?  Have you tried to use a can of compressed air in the opposite direction of the normal airflow with the machine?  What do you mean by not working not properly?  You have an error message? The temperature of your laptop is too high?

  • Pavilion g7-1368dx "cooling fan does not work correctly.

Greetings. I have a HP Pavilion g7-1368dx laptop with Windows 7 I bought in June 2012, is no longer under warranty.

A few weeks ago he had a thermal cut-out once during use. After cooling, the laptop works very well for a few uses, but then it has started giving the boot warning message, "the system has detected that a cooling fan is not working properly," with an additional indication of the damage if the computer is used in this State.

I ordered a new fan and succeeded him, and I cleaned the fan grille in the process (although it wasn't very dirty), but I still get the same fan error message. I went to the HP website and saw the suggestion to do a "hard reset", so I did it, but the problem persists.

I saw another suggestion to try a BIOS update, but I thought that would not be desirable because the fan does not work. Suggest you go through with the attempt to update the BIOS anyway?

Is there something else I can try before ordering a new card system?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Pavilion G7 1070us replacing the cooling fan

I have a mobile Pavilion G7 1070us requiring a fan and heatsink of the replaced machine joint.  The part # is 646578-001 fan.  the part # is 643256-001 heatsink.  on the heat sink, there's a part # 4gr12hstp80.  I found the same fan and the heatsink to replace, but with different reference numbers (heatsink heat part #643258-001, 4gr13hstp80) for sale at a supplier (costs and shipping charges).  My question is: has your repair story has proved that this cooling fan works in the computer pavilion G7 1070us laptop?  Thanks for the reply.

  • Pavilion dv6 3230us cooling fan replacement?

Cooling for my Pavilion dv6 3230 fan recently stopped working and I need to find a replacement. However, the part number is not across radiator fan itself. Also, I was not able to find the part number by using the site Web of HP Partsurfer, or by searching for third-party Web sites.

Anyone have any suggestions for how to find a replacement radiator fan that will be compatible with my laptop?

    Thanks in advance

The manual is not very useful. This is one of them:

    Graphic memory UMA 603690-001

UMA graphics memory with a processor 633384-001

Your model has the processor soldered to the motherboard and card graphics UMA so I think this is the first.

I had these google images by using the part numbers and they look the same to me, but you can compare to yours.

  • Processor and fun of rear cooling fan runs at full speed on Pavilion HPE h8-1120it

Hello, since yesterday when I turned on my HPE h8-1120it HP Pavilion the CPU fan and rear fun cooling are always rotating at high speed, and they never stop. I have nothing no hardware changes, no change in software. Two days I will I work all day without problem, I turn off as usual the PC, I'm going to bed and then yesterday morning I turned on and now I have this problem. The PC is brand new (I bougth it about 1 month ago). There is no problem of temperature (now I 19 ° C on my computer room).

Read another similar post I figured might be a bios problem. The version of the bios is 7.11, I tried to see if there is an update of canno't ' t there, but I find an update of the bios for Pavilion HPE h8-1120it.

I burned a CD with the hardware HP Vision Diagnostic and I run the pleasure of tests and they all passes. During these tests, the pleasure seem to achieve the right speed in the progress of the test.

I noticed this strange thing: when I bought the PC I immediately activated in the bios the use of VT to use hardeware virtualization with VMWare player. Yesterday, I found this setting changed and disabled and it's very strange because I did not change the values in the bios.

What can I do? The noise of the fans at full speed is impressive, that I can't work on these conditions!

    Thank you

    Davide Angeli

    Hello

There are not many fans rated at 4 000 rpm. With this type of fan RPM coupled with your observation that VT missing then your PC seems to have a problem.

Maybe it's time to contact the HP Support.

HP support number is 800-474-6836 or 800-HPINVENT or online here.
