Pavilion dv6t-2000: Post recover process reimage disk - windows update error code a 8024, 000

Hello

After replacing my old HDD with a new SSD, I successfully used my purchased 1 & 2 recovery discs to reload Windows 7 x 64.  Now, I am able to connect to the internet and navigate through Internet Explorer, but I can't get Windows Update to work.  I get this error: Windows Update 8024A 000 error Code.

I researched and found this fix:

http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-update/Windows-Update-error-code-8024a00...

However, after you follow the steps to stop services, rename the specified files, register the dll, and then finally to leave the services, I'm still having the problem.  I also ran a utility "fix" looking for issues with the Windows Update utility, it has been correctly executed and said it solved the problem, but the problem persists.  I get more a 8024, 000 of the error, but the update still does not work.

I don't him have not yet tried this, because of the weather, but will plan no later than today:

In safe mode, access c:\windows\ and rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistribution.old.
OK and restart.

I also tried to upgrade to the latest version of the Windows Update utility which has as well.  I can install other applications (e.g., Norton anti-virus, java, adobe flash player) without problem.

I noticed that I have not installed ServicePack 1, I did before as I have reimagee my computer. I need to install this first?

Anyone has any ideas, or did I miss something?

Your help is appreciated!

Thanks, Orrin

I was able to find a solution to this problem.  It is a problem with the HP recovery disk image.  It does not correctly install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver.

To resolve this issue, go here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20868/RAID-Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Driver-for-Intel-Desktop-Boards

Download and install the version appropriate for your respective operating system.  As soon as it was installed it fixed my Windows Update doesn't work not, error: 8024a 000

Thank you

  • Pavilion dv6t-2000 - cannot recover from the recovery partition

Hey there. I'm trying to restore my laptop with Win 7 settings, but I can't seem to restore from my recovery partition. I tried the F8, F11 key and on the ways to office with no luck. In some of them, recovery option is grayed out, but using the recovery on the Desktop Manager, I have recovery option, but he says to insert disk 1 before continuing. I have no disc and I already have a previous restoration set the last time I got my laptop (about 2 years ago).

When I click on my computer I see the c drive and d drive - what is labeled a recovery partition. I did a check of the recovery partition and there are no errors. It seems to work fine, except that my laptop is not to be used to recover. I know it's a major road, so I've never tested with it.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated

It is more likely that some of the files were corrupted on the recovery partition. At this point, since you have no recovery disc, I would phone HP to order recovery media.

  • HP Pavilion Dv6t 2000 CTO-two unknown device

    Hi all

My laptop is HP pavilion Dv6t 2000 CTO, product no.: NQ615AV, run the Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

    It has two unknown device:

    1. PCI Express Root Complex
    2. Intel PM55 Express Chipset LPC Interface Controller - 3B 03

    Driver status: code 28.

I haved installed driver: audio, graphics, Player cards, chipset (sp45629), quick launch.

    Please help me!

    Thank you very much.

The Unit came with Windows 7, or is it upgraded to Windows 7? If you upgrade, what was a facility on the spot or own?
It was like that out of the box, or was it a recent development? Nothing changed at all before that? It is strange for drivers just disappear.

Have you tried to use the automatic update of the Intel driver? If not, go here and select it. It must analyze and find the drivers for the listed products that both are involved with the motherboard and chipset.

  • Driver Bluetooth for Pavilion DV6T-2000 CTO

I have recently installed the bluetooth module, part number 537921-001, on a Pavilion DV6T-2000, and I can not find the device driver.  It is not automatically install in Windows 8 x 64 and I do not see those who have been made available for Windows 7 x 64 on the support page.

I also tried to use drivermax and slimdrivers hoping to find it but still no luck.  The device appears in the device as an unknown device manager, but it upward in the BIOS as a device in the System Info screen.

    Hi Abg3,

I understand that the Bluetooth is not installed on your HP Pavilion DV6T-2000 and Windows 8. Windows should pull in the correct driver for the device. I would go into Device Manager and uninstall, then restart the computer with the device in. Here is a link to the drivers.

  • Pavilion dv6t 1200 CTO for Ghost boot disk

    Ahoy, all

I am trying to create a boot disk for purposes of Ghosting. I have the BartPE disk that works with the HP Elitebook 6930p. However, this does not work with Pavilion dv6t 1200 CTO. I think it's because I can't change IDE to AHCI in the BIOS (do not see the option).

And so I think that the problem lies with the drivers of storage but not sure. When I go to Pavilion dv6t 1200 CTO drivers HP website drivers 'Storage' alone I see relate to the USB and a Ricoh card reader.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

figured it out. necessary to get the Intel Matrix drivers out of the Intel site. I also had to get the drivers Realtek NIC Realtek off-site. those in integrated BartPE. works now.

    Hi Fifinator,

    1. have you tried to activate the copy of Windows after reinstalling?

You can try these steps and see if it helps.

    Method 1:

You can read the following article and try the steps to solve the problem:

Error message when you use Microsoft Update or Windows Update Web sites to install updates on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003: 0 x 80070005

    Note: Applies to Windows Vista.

You can check the following link and check the steps indicated by the Shedrich - Support Engineer (published on Saturday, April 4, 2009 08:17).

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistawu/thread/a9a2c92d-793b-4050-BDB1-720bb97bd78d/?Prof=required

    Method 2:

If you have installed security software, then you can temporarily disable the security software and firewall installed on the system and check if the problem persists.

Note: Be sure to enable the security software on the computer after checking.

    Hope this information is useful.

Earlier, I told you how to get the Device Manager.  There you can uninstall the suspect as CD/DVD players, restart and have windows rediscover.  This method will take care of all driver problem (hopefully).  Replacement of readers would be the next step for review.

As you have a Retail DVD you also have the possibility to do a Windows repair installation.  This would bring to your computer to the version of the DVD, for example, Service Pack 1, and other updates to Windows, may have to be redone.  Your programs and data are not lost, but it's a good idea to back up valuable data.

  • Pavilion dv6t-2000: level questions to SSD

    Hello

I'm looking to upgrade my hard drive, because it failed the test of hard disk through BIOS > diagnostic test. The hard drive seems to overheat and is super slow these days.

I found this hard drive, which is the same size as the one I currently have and want to be sure of the following:

    SSD, I plan to buy:

MX200 crucial CT250MX200SSD1 2.5 "250 GB SATA 6 GB/s (SATA III) Micron 16nm NAND MLC internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16820148948&utm_medium=email&utm_source=IGNEFL09...

    My questions:

    1. I have a recovery disc that I bought with the laptop originally, this will install Windows 7 and the 'default' or 'new' version of the operating system on the new SSD?

    2. when I go to install the SSD drive is there a cable I need to buy or going to the existing of a cable inside the computer game portable SSD?

    3. will I need support for the SSD sit in where was the old HDD?

    Your help is appreciated!

The SSD will use the same cable, tray, etc. The exterior of the SSD is physically identical to a mechanical hard drive. SATA connection and mounting holes are in the exact same places. It might be a little thinner but which does not affect compatibility. The recovery disc will work with DSS, provided that the SSD is at least as large as the smallest drive HP offered on your laptop model, which seems to be your case, since you have a mechanical drive of 256 GB (?). The series MX Crucial had a few cases has been reported problems with HP laptops. No one has identified the exact reason, and I'm not sure that the issues were with your model, but you should be aware of this. I always recommend the range Samsung 850 Evo of discs.

  • HP Pavilion 15-p259ng: graphics AMD Radeon R7 M260 with Win7: Error Code 43

    Hello
    I bought a laptop 'HP Pavilion 15-p259ng"without windows. I installed Windows 7
64 bit on it. Then I istalled the downloaded "sp69351.exe" AMD graphics driver
on the HP support site. Since then, the video card AMD Radeon R7 M260 is
reports "driver arrested because the error has occurred (code 43)" on an ongoing basis.

I tried to also update the other GPU (AMD Radeon R6 integrated on the main processor)
with the same driver. This GPU is called "standard VGA video card" in the device
Manager and there initially a Microsoft driver mounted, but the update was
not possible, because on triing update by setting the path of the new
driver (inluding subfolders) in the option "Update driver" in the Device Manager
He sent the message "driver is up to date" and didn t accept the update
(curiously, because used the Microsoft driver date is much older
(06.21.2006) that of the AMD driver I tried to install (06.05.2014).

Well that to uninstall the old Microsoft driver is possible, the problem with him
Is that uninstalling requires a reboot and restart the older driver will be
be installed again automatically without asking the user for confirmation.
So I get back to my starting point.

Besides that I see a PCI device without driver in the group "Other devices" in the
Device Manager.I do not know if it can be related to the problem, but I
do not either know where I could get the suitable driver for it.
The hardware ID if it is the following:
    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5229 & SUBSYS_2263103C & REV_01

Anyone have an idea how the driver for the Radeon R6 onchip could be updated or
any other idea to solve the problem?

    Thank you very much
    Fouad

    Hi @Fodi

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

OK, I understand you are trying to install drivers for your graphics card and integrated to your cpu.

Actually you don't need to install separate drivers. It is covered by the main driver for your graphic card, when there are two an integrated and discrete gpu.

As the error 43 - see this page: expand Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems

Given that you have tried many times you may need to remove the two drivers and restart the system and allow the operating system to find the graphics integrated, before you install the driver for the device of AMD.

All the different drivers for this laptop which was custom HP can be found here:
