Pavilion dv7 - 1243cl: Pavilion dv7 Motherboard resistance question

I accidentally lost a resistance by repairing JBK00 LA - 4091P Rev my girlfriend 1A motherboard in his laptop hp Pavilion dv7 - 1243cl!

None of the experts know the ohm value of resistance R610?

Below, I've included a photo where the missing resistance belongs.

Any help would be DEEPLY appreciated!

I thought about it, so I thought I'd post the answer just in case someone else has the same problem in the future.

R611 = 0.1 Ω

R610 = 0.1 Ω

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question about your Hp Pavilion dv6 Notebook and questions with looking for a new driver for your ATI Mobility HD7470M.  The driver will change not only updated. If the device works properly I wouldn't try to change the system.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6c63nr: PAvilion dv7 motherboard replacement

    Hello

I've had my HP Pavilion stored long. A few days ago I tried to turn it on: when I plugged in the charger and the Power button, it turned on for a second but a spark came out of the base of the laptop and recognized this classic a smell of burning plastic. No matter what I did, the laptop does not start or respond to a door.

After watching carefully and research, I came to the conclusion that the motherboard has been damaged in sévery (he had burned).

I was wondering how much it cost me to get a replacementet for the motherboard, or if it can be fixed. I know this laptop is a bit old, but it's a great model and brand new and I want to know if it is reasonable to make it work again.

    Thank you!

  • Envy dv7 Motherboard upgrade successful... sort of.

    Hi all

I'm working on a laptop HP Envy dv7 - 7227cl.  I replaced the motherboard and have now two questions... one is that the system requires an activation again.

The other is that the new motherboard will not charge the battery... It wasn't a problem on the old motherboard...

Battery test told me that the battery failed the test when you use hardware diagnostics from the bios.

I don't have another battery to test with.

I know that the original motherboard is a 682220-501 (part number of HP), and the news he gave me is a 682220-001... Could it be the problem?

Any other ideas on what to check?

  • HP Pavilion p6733w: BIOS version question

HP experts out there or anyone with better information resources?  I'm looking for what type of BIOS initially provided with my computer, a HP Pavilion p6733w with a motherboard RS880 H-Alvorix.

    Hi there @chocolatejeebus,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you are looking for more information on the original BIOS installed on your system. I'm happy to help you with this.

If you've never updated the BIOS on your system, or if you have updated once, then the original BIOS must always be available on your computer. This is your current BIOS or you can eat to help: desktop HP - BIOS recovery.

The support page for your system, HP Pavilion p6733w Desktop PC, the BIOS for the Board you describe is: N-Alvorix-RS880 motherboard BIOS Update Rev A 6.07. There is no earlier version described at all.

Please let me know if that answers your question, and if so, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • How to install a replacement on my HP Pavilion p5357c motherboard?

I need to replace a faulty motherboard (like many of those who have bought with this pc motherboard) with the same brand and type of origin. The computer is a HP Pavilion p5357c and I find a way extravagant different information.

What is the exact error that you only had/get? Have you tried different data and records of power cables or a new power supply?

Many have suggested it is questions m/b, but most are resolved by replacing the HARD drive. Mothers only I know who may have known problems related to undetected drives are the HP/Pegatron M2N78 - LA series. Overheating possible and/or "cold welding" on the chipset.

Other motherboards that may have problems are the N-Alvorix-RS880-formfat (Alvorix) and IPMTB-TK (Truckee) motherboard, but not IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3).

  • DV7 motherboards are interchangeable?

    Hello

I have a DV7 4065dx, who has a bad integrated gpu (graphic design errors on bios, windows don't is loading not, etc), I know already that my number of card system 605496-001 but it's rather hard to find or expensive to find one in good working condition. My question is that are other motherboards in the DV7-4000 series cross compatible with this model or am I allowed to use only this motherboard? The pictures I've seen online all exactly the same to the one I have.

Yes other motherboards dv7-4000 will be adapted. You want to try be sure, it has all the ports that will be covered by your case to the top, but you can always use a dremel tool to open or tape on holes in your case where the motherboard has no port.

  • Pavilion 15-p011tx RAM question

I want to improve my memory of the 15-p011tx Pavilion. The vehicle currently has 4 GB of ram. There is an extra slot and I want to put in 8 GB so m 12 all together. Is this good? Is there a maximum capacity (gb)? Could I put the most high that I could buy and this ram would be nice?

    See p. 116 here:

    Repair manuals

You realize that to access memory locations will result in removal of the motherboard, right? I'm sure you wouldn't guarantee this is not a problem but it is a tricky thing.

The manual says 12 GB is the maximum, but in reality the max is 16 gigs. It would be 2 x 8 gig DDR3L-1600. I would either add a 4 GB for a total of 8 or better, put in 2 identical modules 8 gig to have 16, so you have more go once.

The reason for having 2 identical modules is two-channel memory performance. 2 identical modules will run about 10% faster than 2 incompatible modules for several reasons 8 GB is likely to outperform 12.

    Memory 4 GB 691740-005 module

Module of memory of 8 GB 693374-005

    https://www.Amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-1600MHz-PC3-12800-KVR16LS11/DP/B00CQ35HBQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1465737434 & SR = 8-1 & Keywords = 693374-005

16 gigs is about $65 now which is a very low historical prices for memory.

  • Pavilion S5610y motherboard

My HP desktop computer crashed today. The motherboard is shot and it is a fairly new computer. The repairman told me to contact HP, because there is a known issue with desktop Pavilion. Hp website has information that the company knows that this is a common problem. My serial number is between people identified by HP as after having been sold with the defective part. There is information on the site that HP shipped advice of mother of replacement for consumers with serial numbers in the range of manufacture on my desk. An hour on the phone with customer service was sterile and I was told that if he didn't plant in 2013, I was out of luck. So I paid for it, I think it's inexcusable. HP knows she sold these and they do not work... It does not matter that he was not in the year of the manufacturer's warranty. I bought a lot of HP products over the past decades. I bought a lot of hp printers and still spend $60 or more per month on the printer ink. I can assure you after this experience, I will never buy a product hp of any kind again nor will be my business or my husbands business. I am very disappointed that I would be sold an office with a very substandard faulty motherboard and this company will do nothing to correct their error.

Thank you very much. I had better customer service here than in the call center. I had almost finished, making the taxes not only myself, but other members of the family. I have a week and a half to three months of work to do before the 15th. It is the root of my frustration. I was contacted today and advised that flags are more like net jobs books and must be powered off often to refresh. I had no idea that I have not bought a desktop computer that can handle personal and business part time use. Thanks again for the shipping of my problem. Any resolution is impossible before my tax deadlines, but I at least have a way to get it fixed and will not lose as much money.

  • HP Pavilion a6519fh: HP Pavilion a6519fh motherboard update

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion a6519fh PC with a dead card mother IPIBL-LB (Benicia) - form factor Micro ATX 24.4X24.4cm before replacing with that I would like to know if someone has upgraded to a new mobo that I can replace the old?

I have a 400w power supply, an Intel core 2 duo E6700 processor and a graphics card GT 640 that were on the old mobo that I hope that I can still use. Thanks for any advice.

If I were you, I would buy one of these motherboards in ebay.  Because the computer is more than 7 years old, I would not spend too much money on it.  Buy the original motherboard can assure that it will work without problem.
