Crucial.com say the maximum RAM for my desktop HPE-130cs is 16 GB (4 x 4 GB DDR3 pc3-10600). However, can I push it successfully to 32 GB with 4 x 8 GB modules?
Here is the link to the product for your PC.
Maximum physical memory is 16 GB.
In addition, please note that even if you could go beyond 16 GB (which you can't), you must have windows 7 Professional or ultimate edition installed as windows home edition premium does not run to a maximum of 16 GB of memory.
Can someone tell me what is the maximum RAM for the R31
Welcome to the forum!
Could you please send the model number of 7 characters of your R31?
Theoretically, 1 GB should be maximally to P3M units, but some Celeron machines have a slot already filled, that is why I ask the model number.
Good luck and let us know.
I have old a laptop Compaq Presario C700 initially provided with 1 GB of RAM and Windows Vista. This computer has since been updated for Windows 7 32-bit and upgrade to 2 GB of RAM. I checked Crucial site and he informed me that the maximum RAM for this computer is the 2 GB that I am currently. Despite this, I read the posts of people successfully 3 to 4GB of RAM installed and still having their computer function properly. I also read that the maximum RAM that can run on a Windows 7 32-bit system is 4 GB.
Since I now have Windows 7, I will be able to further improve my computer to a 4 GB of RAM or the hardware of the laptop itself prevents me to do?
The manual for a Compaq Presario C700 says on page 2 supports up to 2 GB of RAM:
With all computers, you have two factors limiting the amount of RAM memory that may be installed, or the motherboard, and the version of Windows installed. In your case, it is the motherboard that prevent you from adding more RAM.
I have a Pavilion DV6-6047ci with Windows 8 and 8 GB of Ram. Can someone tell me if I can expand this to 16 GB of Ram? If so, what kind of Ram?

Sorry, I think that question maybe a lot of time, I just want to ask about W510 i7-720QM maximum RAM is 16 GB? Thanks for looking through and answer!
Maximum is 32 GB (4X8Go)
The amount of memory can handle a HP Pavilion 14-n218us.
The maximum ram you can install is 16 GB (2 x 8 GB Modules). Below an example of an upgrade on the following link.

I want to update my RAM for my Lenovo Y460N, but I do not know the RAM max it can supports. Can someone advise me on this... COS of the user manual doesn't say RAM max... Thank you very much!
8 gb max7. PC3-10600 1333 mhz ddr33, no parity, two-channel capable, two sockets dimm 204-pin so.
It is for the models y460, thanks for posting the submodel. (xxxx format)
Hey there ' All,.
I currently have the OEM 8 GB RAM installed. I run VMware Workstation 8 for a laboratory test on my laptop and I would really like to 16 GB of RAM, but it seems that I read a few places that this model is not expandable to 8 GB (which is funny because the model seems comes with 8 GB.) So much for an upgrade).
Before you buy 16 GB memory live, this laptop will support him?
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 with a processor Intel 320 160 GB SSD (SSD is worth every penny, incidentally!).
I just ran the Crucial System Scanner to see what he had to say and he acknowledged my system like a HP - Compaq IdeaPad U450p Laptop/Notebook. This is not just, of course, but there may be a link any between the two I don't know. States crucial System Scanner:
Each slot of memory can hold DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-10600, with a maximum of 4 GB per slot.*
* May not exceed manufacturer supported memory.
Of course, the important part here, I've noticed, is that there is a maximum of 4 GB per slot because that's what HP is supported. Does that mean that the system will recognize even 16 GB and it will not support the HP? Could there be stability problems if I do? I'm looking for if I install 16 GB?
See you soon,.
According to the specifications of the system for your laptop, it comes with an Intel i7 processor.
Here is the link to the service manual for your PC.
There are two sets of specifications of memory depending on whether you have a processor AMD or Intel.
Since you have an Intel processor, you can install modules memory 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) in your PC.
Please see Chapter 1, page 6.
I have a laptop ' HP Pavilion dv7-4000 Select Edition Entertainment Notebook PC ' 4 years ago (2010), model WA357AV. Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit with Intel core i5 M450 @ 2.4 GHz and 6 GB of Ram.
What is the maximum size of RAM so I wanted to update? I can go up to 16 GB with 2 8 GB cards? It is important that the current memory cards are "unbalanced" because I have a 4 GB card and a 2GB card when I always read both should be the same for the 'best performance '. If "unbalanced" is OK, I might consider replacing just the 2 GB card with 8 GB, send me some 8 + 4 = 12 GB which would be obviously cheaper.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Max ram with the processor of your model is 8 GB (2 x 4 GB).
It's well run 4 GB + 2 GB but the memory does not work in DDR mode achieve higher.
Replace the 2 GB chip with a 4 GB chip.
That's the best you can do.
I have the Pavilion DV7-6163US with Intel i7-2630QM processor 2.0 GHz. It has 10 64-BIT OS Windows with factory installed 6 GB of RAM. I wanted to update my RAM and therefore verified the CRUCIAL Scanner and it says its 2 GB on a SLOT and 4 GB on another location. It is said further maximum memory: 8192MB.
I checked the documentaition of the laptop and it has two contradictory statements.
1 place that supports up to 8192 GB of RAM. and in another place he says
Supports the following configurations:
- 16384 MB total system memory (8192 × 2)
- 12288 MB total system memory (8192 × 4096 + 1 × 1)
- 8192 MB total system memory (8192 × 4096 or 1 × 2)
- System memory total 6144 MB (4096 × 1 + 2 048 × 1)
- Total system memory of 4096 MB (4096 × 2 048 or 1 × 2)
- Total system memory 3072 MB (2 048 × 1 + 1024 × 1)
- Total system memory of 2048 MB (2 048 × 1024 or 1 × 2)
So I intend to add 8 GB X 2-16 GB of total RAM. If my system will support it?
Second - is there any specific voltage + speed + time RAM latency that I need to learn while purchasing a new RAM? Thank you
The following link shows its specifications:
It uses the Intel processor so it supports 16 GB (the book says 8 GB for AMD processor):
The book also says he use DDR3/1333 MHz which is 1, 5V. Please use the following tool, looking at the SPD tab and you can see the existing information of RAM including the brand name:
Please use the information to buy RAM or part buy RAM on page 61 of the above manual (probably you already have).
I have a Pavilion HPE h9 - 1215t (Core i7-3770 3.4 G 8 M 77 w CPU;) Card mother Formosa IPMMB-FM). the system currently has 16 GB of ram (4 x 4). Upgrades of what I can do and what dimm configuration? Is 32 GB maximum for this system? For example, you can swap 2 or the 4 GB DIMMs for 2 DIMMs of 8 GB each to make the total system 24 GB of ram?
Dave would work rather than Jim.
I suspect that HP has fill not the 8 GB DIMMs in your PC model when it came out on the market, where the reason for not showing the configurations with 8 GB DIMMs.
Mixture of DIMM may or may not work and I saw all the messages on this forum to indicate success or failure with the mix 8 GB DIMM sizes with your HP PC model.
You could try buying two packs of two 8 GB DIMM if reallly you need more memory and see which combination works as appropriate. You may need to go with 32 GB, but then you might face a decision of performance cost verses. If you can get 24GO to work then return the other DIMM package.
Find out what the return policy is before you buy.
Hi guys, I had to search all day and can't find anything about it!
I want to know that can we use 8 GB and 4 GB of RAM together in my HP Pavilion g6 2006TX and what 1x4Go means?
need a quick answer please I want upgrade RAM as is laging, its taking too much time in rendering in After Effect.
Your machine supports 8 GB max in 2 slots means 4 GB slot using a single piece of 4 GB (1x4Go). You can find all THE information for your machine at the following link:
I currently have 8 GB of ram (2 ovens). Can I put a 2 4 extra total of 16 GB of ram?

Thank you for visiting the forums!
The good news is that you can upgrade your system up to 16 GB of total RAM. Problem is that your memory Bay has only 2 slots for her. Therefore, put two Rams of 8GB of identical configurations for making it 16GB.
This is your product.
Here is the user guide - Cross Page 5 Chapter 1 product description, you can find:
