Pavilion DV9008NR BIOS problem 8 32-bit Windows

I have a mobile Pavilion DV9008NR older:

RAM - 2 GB RAM

CPU - Athlon Turion 64 x 2 TL-50 1.6 GHz

Motherboard - Quanta 30B 9

Chipset - NVIDIA GeForce 6150

Southbridge - NVIDIA NForce 410/430 MCP

BIOS HP F.43 22/03/2010

-GPU of NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA) (MS Bsic Disply C52 A.2 adapter graphics card

This has been previously loaded with WinXP SP3 with nLite slipstreamed 1.42 to load SATA drivers.  He was previously the BIOS flashed to F.43 (latest version).

He was 'clean' updated with Windows 8 Pro Upgrade after passing all the tests.

After reboot, I got the standard HP/Phoenix BIOS screen with the usual guests for BIOS Setup and boot order.

Every time after that, the guests disappeared and Win8 charge * fast * as usual.

Feature to win 8 seems to be in good condition, and necessary Ricoh 5-in-1 and drivers NVIDIA coprocesser loading without difficulty.

I went back to my old image of WinXP and loaded several times BIOS normally with and invites you.

After reloading Win8, back to problems of any invites after the first reboot.

Try or during the BIOS support is * not * enter you the BIOS or boot order Setup.

It seems that somewhere Win8 is "anticipate" normal "flow" of the BIOS.

I understand that Win8 has a feature to take control to prevent the takeover of boot sector malware.

Is this what is happening?  (Which becomes a real problem with and may be necessary).

Is this a bug in the BIOS, or

Is there something else.

Thank you ~.

Just talked to the MS Support for something different and wondered about it.

Obviously, on some machines, this is * normal * and is the result of the function "Secure Boot.

The answer is... you need to use the 'restart' instead of 'Shut Down' to prepare the system to give the menu .

  • G7-2269wm Pavilion: update BIOS problems

I have a HP Pavilion G7, which recently had a bad encounter with a 'spill '.  Not at all turns.  I replaced the card mother and keyboard.  Now it turns on, but it does not boot to Windows.  Looking in the BIOS, I realized the version is very old and it lacks certain robot like legacy and UEFI boot of choice.  I am looking for a way to Flash the BIOS with a current version, but so far have not found a solution that would work in my case.  Is it possible to make a bootable media with the BIOS version I want to use and Flash the BIOS on the HP Pavilion?  I would appreciate any advice you can give.

Other things to note.  I remove the hard drive and disc control execution on him and he has no problem.  When I boot from a disc to install Windows on the HP with the original drive installed, I can access the drive through command prompt and see that the installation of Windows is intact.  The hard disk is configured for the GPT, and as the BIOS limited startup options, I came to the conclusion that the BIOS needs to be flashed.  Thanks for your time.

If the drive with another installation of Windows allowed me to launch the BIOS install package and Flash the BIOS with the latest version.  After it finished, I reinstalled the original hard disk and the computer loads Windows now on the original hard drive.  I thank very you much for your suggestions TheOldMan.

  • Random shutdown problem. 64-bit Windows 8

It seems to happen randomly... But my computer to randomly stop every hour or two. I checked the power saving settings and everything, is there a known problem or Fix that I could use to get my computer not to stop? I have Windows 8 Pro - 64 Bit.

I had the same problems over the past 14 months. Origanally I blamed the PSU, replaced that, no effect.

I've experimented with other versions of drivers and windows, replaced the memory with LV/LP (little improvement) but the same problems; BSOD and powerdrops/sudden reboots. Since he is not consistent, it sometimes seems to help, which made it difficult to analyze.

During the last month things got worse and worse. I sent in the dumps memory to Sapphire for my graphics card, they did a great job and even offered to replace the card, but since it was not not a direct relationship with my humble opinion I don't have.

I had one cut analyze with my equipment on the whole of the system supplier, they have not found a problem but replaced the motherboard (AsRock Z77 Pro3) in all cases. The new Board of Directors has been tested, but at home, it crashed on me sudcdenly in the BIOS. We measured the power from the motherboard. It seemed that even on regular use in mode dekstop, without overclocking, power is not quite consistent.

This Council, as most low/mid range mothers, don't use real Digital PWM and uses of capacitors and coils. We replaced the Board with a Gigabyte ultra-portable (in this case the GA-Z77X-UD3H). All the problems have been resolved.

My system is now running smooth, even low power (cool) and slightly overclocked.

  • Problems restoring 64 bit Windows Vista - sfc/scannow still find things to fix even if run multiple times in a row

I had a hard drive failure; However, the operating system has been on another disk, a 250 GB SSD. After replacing the faulty discs, I tried to move Windows Vista 64 bit to a larger 512 SSD concert. I keep running into problems with these efforts. To verify that the 250 GB SSD is clean and ready to be moved, I run the sfc/scannow in SafeMode with network. I run several times now and each time he claims to have found corrupt files and fixed them.

This is evidence of a virus or other malicious software?

I try to avoid formatting the drive and having to reinstall all software.

    Suggested actions?

    Hello

  • Various problems of 64-bit Windows 7: Scheduler of tasks, computer do not close, sfc/scannow

    Hello

I have a Sony VAIO laptop, running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit (Home Premium 64-bit upgrade) that I had several problems with in the past months. I am considering a factory reset, but I'd rather not if possible. A few months ago, I solved a problem with the message of Bad Pool Header but that seems to be fixed to come up with the BSOD.

Now, occasionally when turn off my computer it crashes, with the fan accelerates sometimes slow down then again randomly. Later (I'm sure) she gets a BSOD and then stops. I did not see coming, I see either the next day with a message like "your computer has stopped unexpectedly" or sometimes I held the power button after becoming impatient.

Then I read an article on reliability monitor and is interested in what might happen, but it had not been updated since September 2013. I looked up why this could happen and discovered that I had to check for it in Task Scheduler. When I open the Task Scheduler I got an error saying that "the selected task"{0}"no longer exists. To see the common tasks, click on refresh. "When I click OK another message pops up saying"Task Scheduler is not available... ". "but when I click OK it shows the first error again.

On another question on this Web site (error message: the selected task "{0}" no longer exists...) I read that I might need to delete some tasks that may be missing. I haven't lived a large part of the list in the Microsoft\Windows folder, but I found that, so far, applications experience and Bluetooth have tasks that create problems. I don't know if I want to just delete these because do not know if they are useful when you work or what they do.

The last problem is when I run the sfc/scannow command prompt with administrator privileges in, he is able to find problems on my hard drive but is unable to correct. I discovered a way to run SFC in the command prompt in Windows Startup Repair (where I learned how). I ran sfc/scannow damaged = f:-/offwindir = f:\windows (drive letter was different) and he didn't show any problems on the drive and has not set the disk problems.

Sorry for the issues. Just didn't know if it would be better to start these issues separately.

    Thank you

    Zac

I have a sapphire radeon hd 5770 and I recently installed windows 7.  When I installed the driver for my graphics card I have to reboot for it to take effect.  Once the reboot is finished, I find myself with a desktop computer that has no mouse, no icons and no taskbar.  I have to restore the system to remove the Catalyst Control Center (the pilot for the 5770).  I need the driver to install to use my graphics card but so far no luck.  I spent hours trying to solve this problem, and any help is appreciated.

    Hello:

The only suggestions I can offer are the following, if you have not already done...

1 try the driver W7 support page for your laptop.

This package contains the Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad driver for laptop models supported and operating systems. The driver provides some advanced features such as PalmCheck, EdgeMotion, tap zones and double-tap tap-to-select.

    File name: sp46509.exe

    2. try directly from Synaptics touchpad driver.  Try the W10 and W8/7 driver... pilot.

  • HP pavilion n242se 15: problem with the BIOS software

    Hello
I have HP pavilion 15-n242se and I have the problem with the software of the BIOS, because when I restart the computer it turns off completely and go back a few seconds later.
Please, I want to again software for BIOS for Windows 10 64 bit

    Can you help me?

    SyrianCow

Sorry for the bad news, but HP does not update the BIOS of your PC for Windows-10.

They planned them to Win8.1, and you should have to do the upgrades at the time, BEFORE you upgraded to Win10.

The HP BIOS upgrades are OS-specific version, so now that you have upgraded, you can no longer run these.

  • HP Pavilion all 8 compatible 64-bit Windows developers?

I already have 5 months 8 developers 64-bit Windows installed on my HP Pavilion a1585l. I upgraded to 2 GB of RAM 4 years ago. He works very well with different OS. The problem is that the original drivers are for older OS like Windows XP. So if I want to update a driver that it does not work because there is a compatibility issue. Is there someone who has experience with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 or 64-bit Windows 8 developers preview 32 or 64 bit on this machine?

    Respectfully,.

    Mr. Dutchie

I found the driver for work. It is published before this post the most recent driver and he acknowledged the 6750M and what's weird, is... it is a driver OF HP's OFFICIAL! How could you say that there is NO driver for this model yet... ftp://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59001-59500/sp59407.exe

  • Satellite U400 - update BIOS for Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64-bit

I currently have Vista 32 bit on my U400. I intend to do a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit. I downloaded all the necessary drivers on the Toshiba site for the 64-bit Windows 7 update. I noticed there is a BIOS of Vista 64 bit driver. Do I need to install this before you proceed with the installation or after?

So, is there a particular order to install all the drivers, utilities and applications?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

Normally, this update of the BIOS must be made. You will need to use all the features of your laptop.

I have improved my U400 Vista 32 bit to Vista 64-bit. After this update I started the update of the BIOS. Everything worked properly during this procedure because I closed all programs that are running (also AntiVirus/firewall) and was registered as an administrator.

About installation order I didn t find a specific list, so I used this command:
    -Chipset
    -Display
    -Sound
    -LAN
    -WLAN
    -Card reader
    -...
