Pavilion g6 1202-TX: driver problems after update to 8.1 Windows

Hello

I've recently updated my product to 8.1 of Windows and even if I have material for a sound SRS surround, I can't find the software patches necessary to return my sound quality to its original levels of Dolby. I have already installed the IDT audio drivers available in support of the Web site forums always the his qualityy is very poor.

In addition, after installation of the Qualcomm Atheros Wireless card driver from the support forum, my light on the adapter does not turn Orange and stays blue all the time.

Kindly help me to solve these problems.

Hi @Yuvraj_Gupta ,

Welcome to the HP support community. I saw your post about the problems after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. You encounter some problems because there is no driver Windows 8.1 to your model, only Windows 7 and 8. This Driver de Audio IDT high-definition is the most recent that I can find, but I can't guarantee that it will work.

For wireless light trying to install this Driver HP wireless button.  Once installed, you should be able to switch it off and on again.

Hi, I have recently updated my laptop to Windows 10. He had so many problems and I didn't like it at all, so I just returned my laptop to Windows 8.1.  Since then, my laptop does not correctly every time, and the fan immediately starts to work as well. I can start my pc and connect to my home screen each time.  If the tile is moving or light up when I move my cursor, then I know that I can use my laptop for a little while. It can freeze after getting out a good program. Other times when I start my laptop, everything is dead except for logging on my screen. My Windows key on the keyboard does not work most of the time.  If the screen does not respond the first time I turn, as described above, I can't absolutely nothing on my pc. I can't access the search bar by moving the cursor to top right, I can't open the tiles, I can't spend in desktop mode, etc.  Front I upgraded to Windows 10 and downgraded to 8.1 all worked perfectly, because I've updated from 8.0 to 8.1 Windows almost 2 years.  I have a defective battery. in fact I can only use my laptop if it is plugged. My fan is constantly going, but I don't know if it's my loss of battery or what's wrong with my pc now.  I have described my problem in the Microsoft community forum but have had little response that was not helpful. I was told to go to the command prompt and put in DISM: scan now (which also contained letters more than that, but I do not remember all). I followed the instructions and for 2 days, my pc seems to do better. Then he returned to this problem again. I hope you can help me.  If you have additional questions, post here or please email me at [removed personal information]. Thank you!

    @DWESTDEWITT,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forum.  What you can do at this point that there are several updates released by microsoft and hardware vendors is running the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

If this fails to solve the problem.  The only option will be to restore the operating system to the previous, until HP gets the drivers so that they can release them on the support page for your laptop for Windows 10.

Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

I then opened AMD vision, to try to adjust the settings, I noticed I was now just as 3 options of things to settle. I could just adjust power consumption on the processor dependimng on if the computer was plugged in or not. Went a whole optiuon to adjust graphix and all the things to do it graphically disappeared. Then I redownloaded the catalyst drivers and tried to reinstal. Once the computer off again. Every time I have try and update the graphics it stops. • HP Pavilion g6 2202TX problems after update to 8.1 windows

    Hello

    Background:

Recently, I updated my windows 8 operating system windows 8.1 (64-bit)

2202TX assists in integrated Intel HD graphics 4000 & AMD Radeon 7670 M card (1 Gb)

    Problem:

I noticed that my amd graphic card does not provide operating system. coz

    • in the dxdiag box I could see intel HD 4000
    • When I right click anywhere on the desktop and try to run the graphic properties, I got error that:
"Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. Currently, there are some parameters that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center. »

So I checked assistant HP support for an updated driver, there is not. I had also installed all windows updates.

So I contacted HP and I have been asked to manually download drivers that are for version 8.1 of windows 2202TX.

    Then, I installed it;

There, after I was due to problems.

    1. in the graphic section, first of all I installed driver Intel graphics high definition (HD) (sp63753), in the process, that I got following error:

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
which is very strange because 2202TX meets the requirement set out in req system mentioned in the driver page.

    2. then, I installed the graphics driver AMD high definition (HD) (sp59936), which has been installed successfully. but after restarting my laptop, after awhile I got following error:

"Catalyst Control Center: the host application has stopped working."

and I get the same error when I right click on the screen area and click graphics properties.

    3. then when I installed Qualcomm Atheros QCA9000 series Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows (sp64255), I got following error:

"802.11 a/b/g/n wireless adapter device not found:
The device may not be present or could have been ejected/disconnected from the system.
abandonment of the installation, please insert the card and try Setup again"

So I run the Device Manager, and the driver for the network card "Ralink RT3290 802.11 bgn Wi - Fi adapter ' proved to work correctly.  and also the rest of them in that tree.

    In addition,

    4. "HP support assistant has stopped working" error if I try to open the same.

    5. when it is run: dxdiag, I am following error:

"DxDiag has detected that there could be problem accessing Direct3D the last time this program was used.             You want to bypass Direct3D this time? »

Yes: I have not tried that!

No.: programs stopped working and closes.

    6. when I right click any where on the desktop there is no user interface for Intel HD 4000 option, now it disappeared after the installation of the AMD graphics driver, where can I get the intel HD 4000 UI application?

    Things I'm still trying:

Should I install this driver from amd's official website:

Check driver tool AMD Mobility Radeon™

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/mobile?OS=Windows%208.1%20-%2064

    &

    In short:

problems with the graphics drivers and Catalyst Control Center

    Problems with HP support assistant

    Problems with atheros drivers qualcomm...

Please help me to resolve these issues.

    Hey NiksDroid,

At this point the steps above should have solved the problem. Before installing the following drivers, please make a backup of your system, files and images. That way if something happens to the computer you won't lose any of your items.

Thank you very much for the information and images. My suggestion would be to first update your Chipset drivers.
Driver and Intel Chipset Installation utility
Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver
    After installation, restart your computer.

Then the next step would be to update the graphics drivers. Make sure that you first install the Intel driver and restart your computer before you install the AMD driver.
High definition (HD) of Intel Graphics Driver
AMD graphics driver high definition (HD)
Please restart your computer once more, after completing the installation of AMD.

Please let me know the results of the update, thanks.

  • Prirnting problem after update to 8.1 Windows

    Hi all

I am a single user on my laptop using a HP Laserjet 1018. Just updated to 8.1 and seem to have problems similar to many others. Printer worked fine on Windows 8, but not now.  A ran printing HP and doctor Scan and the printer worked fine. I then removed the cable to the USB port on laptop, she and tried to print again. Nothing. Turning the printer off it back and tried again. Nothing. Removed from the printer, added again and new trial system. Nothing. Downloaded the latest driver from HP site and tried again. Nothing. I also made sure that the print spooler and the Notifications and Extensions are running. Still no joy. I find it hard to believe that such a widespread problem has not been examined by Microsoft, HP, or both. I guess it's possible that some printers are no longer supported under 8.1, but would love to be told if this is the case. However, it seems that many users cannot use their printers and I was just wondering when this issue will be resolved by the person who is responsible. If anyone can enlighten me, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you very much

    Bobbler

    Hello @Bobbler,

I thank very you much for the detailed response. I'm sorry to hear that your situation has become worse after trying some of the steps I have provided you and a few extra steps of your choice.

One thing I want to clear up is because the printers Laserjet 1018, 1020 and 1022 are all in the same series, to continue the research I found that the installer is labelled 1020. The package install itself is labeled: LJ1018_1020_1022_Full_Solution.exe . So, to finally try to remove the Laserjet 1020 that appeared in the list programs and features, you might then see the two installed copies of the Laserjet 1018 on your system. It is strange that after removing one of the entries, both seem to remove it from your computer.

I have to start by ensuring that the Laserjet 1018 is completely removed from your computer. I think at this moment that we need to focus on getting a clean slate to work.

    Uninstall the drivers:

    Please unplug your USB cable

    1. I would like to you launch by clicking on the following link: Microsoft: the problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled and running the tool by selecting the "Run Now" option on the right side.
    2. This Microsoft tool will run on your computer and remove all selected software and drivers who fail to uninstall in the traditional way.
    3. Let the tool to run and when you are prompted to select Uninstall
    4. A list of programs is now complete, do scroll down and look for anything related to the Laserjet 1018, 1020 or 1022. Delete them if they appear.
    5. When the tool has finished, you can open your start screen, and type "Notepad".
    6. Click the notebook to start the program
    7. When Notepad opens, just go to 'file' and select 'Print' and take a look in the print dialog box to ensure that a Laserjet 1018, 1020, 1022 or does not appear. If they don't show, simply close the window.

Sometimes on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 printers may not appear correctly in the file devices and printers. An easy way to see if there are duplicates of your product installed is by opening Notepad and simply check the print dialog window to see if they appear in there. If everything looks fine, so there aren't any duplicates installed.

    Solve printing problems:

    1. Then I'll have you click on the following link: Microsoft: solve printer problems
    2. Once the site opens, select 'step 2' on the left side and then click on the "Printing Troubleshooter" link in the middle of the page.
    3. This tool from Microsoft will find and solve different problems on a computer that could potentially cause printing problems. It will also identify and resolve the various problems of the registry on the computer.
    4. When the tool has finished, then we are ready to install the printer.

    Install the printer:

Note: Leave disconnected USB until prompted

    1. Please select the following link to download new drivers for your printer: HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver
    2. Click Download at the top left and just start the download
    3. Once the download is complete, simply follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your product
    4. Connect the USB cable only when prompted
    5. Once the installation is complete, try to print!

Note: The installation should appear with an 'install' option and not a new camera 'Add' or 'repair' option. Should 'add new device' or 'repair' appear it indicates that there are still drivers and software HP hides somewhere on your computer.

Please let me know if the tools that I have provided and reinstall it solved your problem. Fingers crossed!

  • [X 230] Problem after update audio driver

Last night, I used Lenovo think Vantage to install driver and software updates.  One of them was the Audio Realtek 6.0.1.6710 driver.  After a reboot, I get the following message.  Cannot start the application Dolby and I have no sound.

    How can I fix it?

    Thank you!

UPDATE: I was able to go into the Device Manager in Windows and restore the driver Realtek 6.0.1.6617and all is well now.

Apparently the Dolby application requires a particular version of the Realtek driver and you are unable to update one without updating to the other, but think that Vantage tools does not list the updates of the application of Dolby for my machine.  Ehh...

In any case, fixed the problem of driver Conexant by completely uninstall Conexant Audio ISST and re-install.

    Hello:

Yes, the Intel HD audio device that needs the Intel graphics driver reinstalled.

I propose this option to install the driver, because sometimes simply reinstall the graphics driver Intel does not work.

Download and install this free utility for files.  The file 2nd on the list is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, download and save, but do not run this driver Intel graphics from the support page of your laptop.

This package provides the Intel video drivers, control panel and display audio driver for the laptop models running a supported operating system.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp75501-76000/sp75984.exe

After you download the file of the graphics driver, right-click on it and select 7 - zip from the list.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in the file name (sp75984).

When this is done, go to Device Manager and click on the Intel HDMI audio device problem requiring the driver.

    Click the driver tab.

Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-Zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC, and you should be able to get audio and video from the HDMI connection.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
