  So after much hesitation, I just upgraded to windows 10. Now I regret it.

  I used to be able to scroll by touchpad, now I can't. I researched solutions and tried to go to Snaptics (on my computer, it says "Snaptics Clickpad V8.1" If that tells you anything), but when you click on it it is said:

  "Unable to connect to the Snaptics Pointing Device Driver.

   

  If you have installed a different PS/2 driver pointing device please uninstall the snaptics driver by clicking on the Yes button. You must then reinstall your device pointing to your external device driver again.

   

  You want to uninstall the snaptics driver now? " And then gives the options Yes or no

  I don't know what that means, or what I have to do to fix it. Any help is appreciated!

  Try the following.

  First, download the installer of the Synaptics software on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  Since the new layout, select the Synaptics entry and check the scrolling options are checked and save any changes - see image below.

  Good to hear that you are able to apply the workaround because of our method call feature in OQL.

  As ETA is, I can assure you of the bug being fixed in version 7.0 which is due in September 2012. Although, if you feel necessary to have the fix before that, file a support ticket and our support team can follow on that any further.

  Since the upgrade to windows 10 I lost my audio... can not play MP3 music and the system sounds don't work... wanted for driver sound card and found three recommended... each of them has reported a hardware not found... decided to reinstall the driver of sound card on my install of windows 7, as luckily I backed up all my drivers before moving on to OS10... even if it is installed, still no sound... removed devices and drivers and let the laptop reinstall after rebooting... do not know what else to try... do not believe that there is a sound muting function key that I do not know...   just try the idea of setting frequency to 16-bit 9600, but I got no sound error box [...], then is alle went settings improvements where she has low etc etc settings has been disabled so it allowed without choosing any of... then I went back and changed the default frequency which is 24 bit 19200... then told me not supported by this device but then miraculously it worked... have now all music sound restored windows all... don't know if still have windows 7 driver... it is MS 2008... really afraid to update the driver because it is all now work... don't know how I fixed it but, was it a particular action? or a combination...? Maybe this might help others...

  Please ensure that your Pen drivers are up-to-date. (check the manufacturer's Web site)

  Also, what exact version of Photoshop and Lightroom are you using?

  Search for graphics card drivers update as well.

• I have a brand new installation of 13 PS elements. How I have difficulty drag and drop doesn't work is not on my system Windows 7 Pro 64-bit?

  I just installed PS 13 items on my system Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Mouse clicking works, but how I have difficulty drag and drop works do not?   See other discussions on this topic, which suggests a conflict of startup program that might be the cause, I did some experiments.

  All the functions of the mouse to 13 PS elements worked well if I started my Windows 7 in "safe" mode
  So, back in 'normal' mode, I manually disabled all startup programs. Returned mouse problem.
  Enter the control panel "services", I disabled 'Synergy' (a program that allows me to share my keyboard and mouse between two computers). Fixed a problem.
  The reactivation of all the startup programs while leaving a synergy service is turned off, everything works still fine.
  Start all programs present and re-empowerment synergy, but turned off its 'high privilege check box. Everything is still fine.

  Conclusion: Synergy in high privilege mode service was the only culprit.
  Synergy in non high mode allows my PS 13 items and keyboard/mouse sharing to coexist.

  The strange thing is that only PS elements 13 was affected by synergy. I detect no problems anywhere else. But it doesn't matter; the new arrangement (no high synergy) works fine for everything.

  Assuming that your keyboard works during boot (and it should; trying to tap F8 to access Advanced Boot Options Menu), probably the simplest method would be to make a Hiren Boot CD, boot from it and use one of the many included tools.  I have not experienced with your particular situation, so I can not tell you what tools will be or will work for you, but my guess is that USBDeView might work.

  Thanks for all the help. Seems that there is no easy 'reset' for bad hardware configurations.

  However, I dug to the bottom of my Lac 'tech' and found a USB-to-PS/2 adapter, which allowed me to use the USB mouse into the PS/2 port and reactivate my USB ports.

  All is well now.
