Pavilion G6: Acceptable Temp. °

Hi all

I was just wondering, what is an acceptable temperature (high)? Where the game, things warm up, but I was wondering what is an acceptable level? When I play, my laptop can go up to 60 °. When he arrives, I'm cool. My laptop is due for a cleaning dust and I lifted the laptop upward a little so there is a circulation of air under it and my office, but eventually I think to get something more sophisticated to this effect. Anyway, so, what is an acceptable temperature?

I used the Piriform software to monitor the temperature.

Thanks in advance and good day.

Hi @Trott ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your laptop HP g6 and problem or concerns, with temperatures. Your laptop should stay not exceeding 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Here is a link to a overheating. It shows you how to clean vents and fans.

I hope that this address your concerns.

Thank you.

  • HP 8500 has connectivity issues

    Hello!

A friend would get its OfficeJet 8500 a work with everything else.

It has an old desktop PC HP Pavilion and an old laptop Dell Inspiron 5100.

And a router Netgear N900 very nice with ports USB TWO to share printing and storage devices.  Of a value of more than two computers from the router

The router Netgear, HP 8500 has and Pavilion are all accessible walk from each other.   I suspect that radio stations interfere with each other.  The laptop would lose track of the internet from the living room, so I turned off the wi - fi of 8500 a radio and the internet laptop Revit.  Seems to me that we need away radio 8500 a, or move the 8500 or move the Netgear router.

Before we began yesterday the 8500 has worked with the HP Pavilion via direct USB but the Dell laptop wouldn't connect via wi - fi.  I don't think that the 8500 a will work with USB and a wireless connection.  It is well to be one or the other, isn't she?

Thinking that I could disable the 8500 a radio, I tried to connect the 8500 has directly on the Netgear.  You need to install the Netgear ReadyShare app to each computer, if you are going to connect the printer to the router via the USB port.  The Pavilion has accepted the ReadyShare application.  We unplugged the USB of 8500's Pavilion and connected to the Netgear.  A minute later, we had a test page.  Yay!

However, the Dell 5100 laptop would NOT install the app ReadyShare.  He returned with an error on the creation of an exception in the firewall for 7423 UDF Out Port.  I tried to do this but the firewall Windows said that we couldn't because it was already there.  I missed time and ideas, and went home.

There are hundreds of messages on the 8500 has, but most of them focus on a very specific problem.  I hope for some general guidance.  Now I kinda think we Oughta uninstall ReadyShare since both PC software, move the 8500 was in the next room, then just use the settings HP wi - fi connectivity.  If I have this right, when the HP software is properly installed on the desktop & laptop, a print job from a computer through the router to the 8500 a, correct?  And no matter if the old Pavilion is wired to the router, then the Dell laptop uses a wireless connection to talk to the router?

Does this sound like a plan?  Or does anyone have a better idea?  I just need a general game plan, then we can work through the details.

    UPDATE

Success!  There was a little high and low...

We plugged the 8500 a directly printing device to the router Netgear via Ethernet.

Installed the latest driver HP for the desktop PC package, which is wired to the router.  Detection of the printer was simple.  Yay!

The Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop is another story.  We wanted to create the Dell so that he could send a print job through the wi - fi router.  The latest HP drivers would be extracted, then we would get an InstallShield window, saying that the drivers for the Broadcom 440BX (or something like that) were being installed.  WTH?  I've never seen a driver for a device package tries to install drivers for an another device before.  Dell uses a Broadcom chipset for the cable network.  The Broadcom driver install seems to go forward, then we would get a screen terminal for a few seconds, then nothing.  No sign of the HP Installer.  Mgr. device had no question mark next to the of Broadcom Ethernet controller.  I tried again, with the laptop Ethernet cable disconnected from the router, hoping to circumvent the problem of Broadcom.  No dice.

Finally, I tried using the CD provided with the 8500.  He tried not to install the Broadcom drivers, but it didn't connect the printer either.  It seemed to go, then he left came with a window to go to the HP support for help.  I tried the diagnosis of HP printer network.  He confirmed the IP address of the printer, but could not resolve.

He was beginning to look like 0 for 2.  I went on all programs, just to see if the HP software was listed.  It has been.  Just for the heck of it, I clicked on Setup and install.  We went through the same steps as the previous, but it wasn't a detour by the Broadcom chipset.  And the green progress bar stopped twice to copy several files.  When he was done, he said that we were ready to go.  Of course, the laptop Dell sent a test page for the 8500 has through the wi - fi router!

So, it wasn't a cake walk and I would like to know what exactly was going on here, but we got everything to talk to all the rest.

In my view, there is nothing that we propose here, like you need 79201.0 and what you have is 68018.48046875 if you need to add more space.

  • 15 - AB292NR: HP Pavilion 15-AB292NR i7-6700HQ Skylake - hindered by slots memory DDR3L-Only. Does not accept DDR4.

I bought this HP Pavilion 15-AB292NR 'Flagship' portable nine in April 2016, is come with core i7-6700HQ CPU - only to discover later that DDR4 RAM do not accept the storage media on this laptop (and no, it has no notches on UniDIMM in media, memory, decision-making is notched for DDR3, only).  I discovered this after much digging, wading in the documents, and many and endless calls to HP Technical Support - I finally got answers after that it took the Department of HP parts.

It is currently 16 GB of RAM of the DDR3L - 1600 CL9 (1.35 v), and standard synthetic benchmarks of the industry and real-world applications confirm this: this system accuses other systems in the same class (same processor but with RAM DDR4-2133) of 18% to 20% in the overall performance.

This decrease in performance is particularly felt by the onboard intel HD Graphics integrated 530 (even once, optimized for DDR4), whose performance is directly related to the speed of the main system RAM. The limitation of the Board of directors only new DDR3 system holds this system in performance 18-20% FPS - I measured myself.

Skylake processors and chipsets are optimized for DDR4 memory.  This laptop is hampered by only DDR3 sockets.

I bought this laptop thinking that its status as a "Flagship" meant that he would be a more efficient.

Looks like I was sadly mistaken.

Yes it's me... direct and transparent. You could mark one of the answers as a 'Solution' as I suspect, it will start to become a common source of confusion, and when you score a 'Solution' that it rolls upward in the research.

  • Pavilion x 2: my laptop never accepted the windows 10 PINS

When I first set up my new x 2 Pavilion, he gave me the possibility to opt for Windows 10 immediately. I used the same account I have for my office. After installation, it asked me to place a new PIN for this laptop and does not accept the PIN code I put in place on the desktop. I can't use the laptop at all.

    You have all the options?

    Thank you

    Hi @pariteno,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook and questions with the pin 10 Windows. If you have a Microsoft Account, use that account and password.

F11 at startup will let you go back. The round trip is a function that will return your computer to the previous operating system that was installed before you upgraded to Windows 10.

You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • Why Pavilion 734n seems not to accept RAM ECC?

    Good day people,

I am trying to upgrade this computer replacing it is original 512 MB PC2100 DDR 266 CL2.5 MemoryStick by Smart Modular Technologies with 2 x 1 GB of the same type and from the same manufacturer (in fact with a complementary HP label thereon) and also the memory size all that is different is that the 1 GB modules are ECC type.

After all, I read on the internet I thought I could use the ECC those, even if the chipset does not support error correction technology and it would just jump. But it seems that the PC has a problem with it, it will just beep once I turn it on. As soon as I replace one of the sticks of 1 GB by the previous 512 MB machine starts as usual, while the States of BIOS for the other side is empty... for ECC modules is clearly recognized.

If anyone can clarify on this issue? Thank you very much.

Ollie, your motherboard is not able to accept the ECC memory.  Here are the Crucialmemory.  Read the Q & a in the middle of the page.  This is where you will find the answer to your question.

I also replaced to 500W power supply before and the PC works fine with the old graphics card.

I placed the new graphics card in another older Pavilion and to work?

This model of PC is not allow different config. by the BIOS? or something like that?

Or maybe the power is not enough?

Thanks in advance for your help :-)

    Ruud

    Ok.

It just means that the motherboard does not work with the video card. You could try to return as incompatible video card and opting for ATI Radeon model for better compatibility.

  • Pavilion p7 - 1417c: how many hard disks can accept to my machine?

I recently installed a 5 TB disk (E:\) and it works fine.  The drive that I replaced was a 2 TB WD drive. My old 2 TB drive can be installed in the Bay under the DVD drive? My machine is p7 - 1417c, s/n 3CR2460P90. My machine can get 2 hard drives in addition to the 1 with which it came?

    Greetings,

It seems you have two (maybe three-hard to see) berries of HARD disk in the HARD drive cage.

You can also buy an adapter for the optical drive Bay HARD drive open. Or just join the 3.5-inch HARD drive bay with screws. If this Bay is 2.5 inches, you can use an SSD.

You have five SATA ports on the motherboard (MB).

Some of the MB SATA ports are going to be slower speeds of legacy. You might have some ports SATA 1. You may need to use jumpers when installing the disk HARD SATA 3. You may have a compatibility issue back. It's been a while since I had to deal with this type of problem. I'm a little fuzzy on potential problems when using 1 SATA disk HARD SATA 3.

SATA MB ports five minus the optical drive to the MB connection gives four connections available for HARD disks.

You also need to supply connections (or will need to purchase the power adapters) from food to run five disks.

I don't see what you have.

    See you soon!

  • Pavilion 500-160ev: CPU fan control

Hello.im trying to figure out how to increase the number of turns of my cpu (pwm) fan in my Desktop hp Pavilion 500-160ev. I tried to do it in the BIOS, but there is no such option. Also I updated my BIOS but I can't find anywhere where to change the fan speed, the option is obviously locked. Third-party program does not work as SpeedFan.I have almost tried everything. Any ideas?

    40 c seems quite acceptable.

The Noctua NH - D9L has a maximum speed of 2000 rpm, minimum speed of 400 rpm

If it is open to only 800 RPM it shows me that your system runs pretty cool.

You can install the free programReal Temp, it will show your CPU current temp as well as distance max temp and "the thermal State.

You can run a CPU Stress Test program to test your fan. As the program your CPU at 100%, you should see the ramp speed of the fan to the top.

  • Pavilion dv6401ca: processor upgrade

My pavilion dv6401ca original installed celeron M520 1.6 GHz cpu.  I can it pass to T7600 core2duo T8300? I found the M520 is PPGA478 in the web site from outside, so do cpu T7600 and T8300 can also be installed in it?  If Yes, what should I do after the replaced cpu?

Another question is: is he would lower the effectiveness of the T8300 if I change the RAM to DDR2 PC2-5300 667 M Hz? The T8300 FSB is rated at 800 MHZ.

As you mentioned, the PC has 10 years and feedback technology was then more slowly compared to today's technology.

The DV series at the time was art of units of technology for this period, and was a fast PC.

When a motherboard or the PC is designed, all components such as curcuit page, fan, RAm, PCI cards, comonent holding components, display and thousands of other factors are taken into account. All of them are designed and ideal conditions value. For example, if you use a different processor to other components in the PC now has to help, even if the socket accepts the processor. Yes, the computer can work but not in his ideal State. The three best ways to attach the computer must have the max RAM capacity for computer, leave a free space of HARD/SSD drive and keep the virtual memory of automatic pagination or max.

If I were you, I would goahead and but a new computer which I consider as depreciation of 20% per year on a device of temperament and if I consider that 10 years, then the computer has is pretty good for my calculation. Again, this is my point of view.

    Hello

Here's your guide to the user of the product:

HP Pavilion TouchSmart Ultrabook 14 HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14 Sleekbook 14 Ultrabook Pavilion 14 Sleekbook maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion HP

    According to the Manual:

    The system - operation temperature: 5 ° C to 35 ° C non-operating: 20° to 60 ° C

    The HARD drive operating temperature: 5 ° C to 55 ° C

From my personal experience, the levels of temperature, your system faces is not really a matter of concern. My system works too in these ranges. But if you observe unusual behavior in the system, then its time to act. Normally, I prefer max temp. up to 55 degrees celcius or even 60 degrees celcius is not to bother me any. But in the long run, I advice you to be careful & take all preventive measures to combat overheating.
